[Q] Is Diamond 2 the best WM phone with a stylus? - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am considering a WM replacement for my HTC Diamond. I like to sketch on my phone, so a built-in stylus is a must-have. The last batch of WM phones, however, seems to have capacitive displays and no stylus. Is Diamond 2 the most advanced option I have?

Turn the screen without sliding the keyboard

I have my TYTN II for a couple of days know, it replaced my good old MDA Vario.
I'm not really having problems, but there is one thing I can't find.
So here is my question:
Is there a little utility that wil turn the screen from portrait to landscape and back, without sliding the keyboard?
I used battery status on the Vario, but I'm afraid to try this because of the different processor in the TYTN II
any help is welcome
There is an icon that looks like ur phone with a stylus ....if u push that itll flip the screen to landscape.
I'm pretty sure that it wont matter...typically when you install software for your device you are installing it for a particular OS...not specifically for the processor (just like a PC). Obviously, if you are trying to overclock then this will be a different story.

Touchflo on the Tilt

Just upgraded to the Fuze (did have 8525) and I'm not sure if I like the touch screen. Really miss the ability to use the stylus. Is a customized ROM's Touchflo on the Tilt reliable?
Happy Now
I just did a screen realignment using the stylus and now the stylus works great. The sales person must have originally aligned the screen with a finger. Think I'll keep the Fuze.

Click to collapse
Aside from the tilting screen (which is a big aside ) Isn't a Touch pro a Kaiser with a VGA display, pretty much?

HTC Touch ROM for Diamond

So, my uncle had a Touch (and still has it) but then he bought a Diamond. Now he's using the Diamond but is not very comfortable with it's menu, home screen etc. So, I was wondering if it is possible to replace all these or change them so that it would look like Touch.

magnetic stylus touch diamond 2

Is there any advantage to having a magnetic stylus for touch diamond 2?
As far as I can gather the phone has resistive, not capacitive screen.
Many apps use the magnetic function to do some things.
(S2U2 can automatically unlock the phone when the style is pulled out)
Thanks,The stylus in my phone activates the phone when I remove it but it is not magnetic.
But I want to get some spares in case I lose it And I have the option to get magnetic.
I don't know If there would be any advantage or problems if I do.
no difference - i would say go for default ones (for td2, un-magnetic)
ps. capacitative & resistive screen has nothing to do with stylus
