Sometimes my phone shows a black screen then reboots :Z
Here are my specs:
- No overclock, just use setcpu to save battery
- Swap partition
- SD 4GB (class 4)
- GingerDX v21
- Alfs kernel 07
try to flash another rom
maybe GingerDX v21 is not suitable for u
It used to happen to me. But then I flashed alfs kernel and it stopped reeboting.

yes it happend with me too,,, bt i was using iRom 5 with nAa11. but now im using gingerxperia and my problem solved. so tell me which rom r u using ?
press thanx if i helped.
I'm using iRom v005 with nAa kernel 11 and everythings works great. Reboot, reboot into recovery - both works with no problem
Maybe there was something wrong during the instalation
1). Copy ROM zip file to SD,
2). Flash kernel,
3). Using CWM (which is built-in nAa kernel) do full wipe and install zip from SD.
This reboot thing is a know bug of kernel.
With nAa 11 it occurs to hang 1 each 10-15 reboots.
Hi everybody,
I tried yesterday to flash my phone with the new mini CM9 + nAa 04 kernel... It did not work resulting in a soft brick.
I solved this problem by flashing back to the stock rom + kernel using flashtool. My device is now working as before.
After many unfruitful research on the forum, i'm forced to ask you what wrong did I do...
My phone was (and is) configured as follow :
Kernel : stock 2.6.2.9
Rom : Android 2.1
Base Band Version : M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
Built : 2.1.1.C.0.0
Rooted
Bootloader : unlocked
Today I installed xRecovery (which is not needed if I use the Kernel E15_nAa-ics-04_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-04).
Is it problematic if I want to use the mini CM9 rom ?
How did I do :
I started by flashing the kernel using flashtool and with the latest version kernel E15_nAa-ics-04_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-04.
The manipulation was successful and kernel was working well.
Then, after having backed up all my settings, apps, contacts, rom and wiped off the data factory settings, I started to flash the rom with CWM (the rom had been stored before on my SD card).
Once the installation finished, the phone reboot... and reboot .... and reboot, etc...
It was only able to display the nAa kernel screen (boot loop), but nothing more.
Finally, I flashed it back to stock version to use it again... OUff
I was a bit scared by the idea of having a hard brick but finally it was just a soft brick.
What do you think about my experience ? I know many of you think that people who do not have necessary skills to do it should not do it ^^ but I want to learn and to make my phone a bit more flexible and fast.
Thank you in advance !

Your hardware and software seems alright to me.
Steps: Don't bother about xRecovery. From stock 2.1...
Root again
Flash nAa-ics kernel
Install MiniCM9 and Gapps from first post of MiniCM9 thread
FULL WIPE -- YOU MUST DO THIS
WIPE DALVIK-CACHE TOO
Reboot and have fun
Sent from my X8 using Tapatalk 2
Flash the latest baseband ans try again

Full Wipe will solve the problem.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies.
So I don't understand what was wrong as I completely wiped the system prior to flash the Rom.
I proceeded exactly like that :
1.Wipe data factory
2.Wipe cache
3.Wipe dalvik-cache
4.Format system
5.Format cache
6.Format data
7.Rom installation
8.Flash Gapps
I think I have done all the necessary steps to make it working ...
I was maybe not enough patient after installation ?
I'm going to try again today (now I know how to recover from a soft brick ).
Thank you all again.

Same problem... when i try to install it again I get an error and it says my device is 16i insted of 15i ...
Then I had to flash different rom 3 times to get it working...
Didn't wipe cashe and it worked : )
first instal minicm 3.0.4
after that install minicm 3.0.5(or any nightlie) without any wiping!.
I was on GDX v28b.The touch was working fine then.
Then i installed Xperience Walkman Mod but i was getting status bar fc's.
So i again installed gdx and i started getting touch bugs.
Then i deleted ax8mt.ko and touch started working fine but occasionally work weird.
So i restored from SEUS and still got same problem.
Yes,I wiped all caches.
Can someone help me??
Is anyone getting same issues??
get flashtool and flash stock and the latest baseband..it might solve ur pro bro
I think SEUS flashes everything - kernel, rom and baseband.
...It's not a darn touchscreen bug.! Use proper Roms!
1.GingerDX
2.MiniCM series <- The one im Using. 0 Problems.
3.Froyobread
4. SO ON!
Do not use moded roms.(Moders do tend to screw something in it.)

@Spevky If his phone is exhibiting signs of screen wierdness then it is a bug whether you like it or not..
Get over yourself!
@OP What kernel were you using when this first happenned? Alfs-9a by any chance? This is not a good kernel for our phones, it's a beta version at best!

OK.. You'll have to format your sd-card in CWM.. (Backup any files you need)
In CWM - format /system, wipe data (factory reset), wipe cache and dalvik cache, then wipe battery stats.
Do the SEUS update to reset your phone.. Don't root it afterwards..
Now check your phone with stock and report back.. If you don't start with a freshly formatted sd card, chances are your problem will persist..
Once you see the problem has gone, only then should you root your phone and install another rom..
could you describe more your touchscreen bugs?

I searched a lot in all threads to find a similar question or just an answer to my problem.
To start I have to tell you that I already had the v029 installed with the stock kernel and everything was fine.
Then I wanted to check some other roms and if they fit me better. So i got it from the begining. Wiped everything and installed the stock eclair with PCC. Unlocked the bootloader through a very usefull guide found here and flashed the latest nAa kernel. Then I downloaded the MiniCM9 3.0.5 Rom and installed it succesfully.
Everything is working fine but I wanted to go back to GingerDX. So I did a factory reset/wiped everything downloaded the rom for the nAa kernel and installed it. It said that it was successfuly installed. But when I try to boot my phone It stucks on the GingerDX splash screen with the animation and doing nothing. No keys working. I removed the battery to shut down, install the CM9 rom again and everything's fine.
Can you please tell what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Any luck? I just installed the kernel on the link you posted and have the exact same problem. The boot screen stays on the splash animation. It's been there for more than 15 minutes and the animation itself is slow as hell.
Hi there..
When we switch between GB and JB kernels we must format /system /data and /cache when we flash the new kernel.
Yes, I flashed the kernel in the link and then the gingerdx rom. I did the wipe in data/cache/dalvik cache and everything else that is needed.
The only thing that occured was a problem in the format during the installation. I formated it manually before the install and it was ok.
