Hi all!
Have really strange problem. My HD7 seems to freeze after minutes or even seconds of work while sharing Internet over WiFi but only when I connect to it with my laptop Dell XPS 17 (WiFi card is Intel N1030).
When I use another device to connect - Android tablet, another laptop and so on - it can work indefinitely long without any problems (only if I do not connect that XPS17).
Freezing occurs on HD7 - all connected devices disconnects but handset showing them like they are still connected. It requires to turn off/turn on the Internet Sharing feature to restart. After several "turnoffs" it won't like to turn on and requires to reboot the phone.
I tried changing multiple options on laptop's WiFi card but it doesn't change anything. Seems like individual incompatibility with components. Maybe it needs to change laptop's WiFi card. Or maybe there is better solution.
Had anyone experienced same issue or even found a solution?

Well, not exactly crazy, however there are some issues I think Orange might have implemented.
1: 3G. If I use ANY internet application with Wifi Enabled, 3G always tries to connect aswell, so I cancel and cancel, and then it finally starts to work over WLAN.
2: Internet over ActiveSync. Again, internet will not work via Activesync.
Anyone got any hints to getting over this ?? Am I being blind and these are options that I have just overlooked ??
I am considering a flash, but which ROM would I use ?? These are my stats atm.
Op version: 19.123.1.615
ROM version: 1.23.61.5
ROM date: 25/01/07
Radio Version: 1.30.00.01
Protocol Version: 32.63.7020.08H

afaik internet over active sync work only with enhanced usb mode disabled or with active sync over bluetooth...
if someone knows how to get internet to work over enhanced usb mode let me know
I see.
What are the advantages of enhanced USB ??
My other PDAs all worked fine with internet over usb, and I haven't noticed any difference in AS..
It seems thats since I did the nodo update my phone has stopped connecting to wifi. Every time I try to connect I get the message that my phone cannot reach the wifi. I cannot even connect to my home wifi. I have tried a factory reset, I restored my phone on zune back to the original setting, and then redid the nodo update and still unable to connect. Any suggestions.
I have you tried restarting your WIfi Router?
NODO update also gives your MAC address now in the ' ABout your phone Section'
You could always try to add it to your wifi router
have a poke at your wife router settings and see there
best of luck
I have the same problem on my HTC HD7 imported from Taiwan.
Firmware: 2250.09.16901.707
Radio: Software: 5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U
Radio Hardware: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader: 1.69.2250.0(117833)
It just doesn't connect to any wifi, be it secure or non-secure. I am extremely tensed, as HTC in my country won't cover it under warranty
The error that I get is "Connection Unsuccessful. Your phone couldn't reach the network XYZ."
A little help needed here, please!
Do y guys transmit the SSID? If not there is a HTC app in Marketplace that does the trick. Did you already delete the exisitng connection and reconfigured it?
I just rebooted my home WiFi router and not had a problem since.
Yes SSID is being transmitted. I have tried almost all combinations possible. WPA,WPA2,WEP,Open and b,g,b/g. Rebooted my router many many times. Nothing works! HTC service center care guys have no clue what's going on when they see that message.
I read somewhere about the "wi-fi" bug in some HD7 devices and Dell Venue pro. Is this the same thing?
Hello
I have problems connecting to my wireless network with my Milestone.
First of all, infos:
Device: Motorola Milestone
ROM: CM 10-20120823-Nightly for Milestone (last version from here: http://skrilax.droid-developers.org/cm10nightly/umts_sholes/ )
Kernel: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
now to my problem in detail:
I'm trying to get a working WLAN connection to my router. first, my router wasn't found at all. after some googleing i switched the channel from 12 to 11 (channel 1 to 10 are quite full).
now it found the router and the connection-symbol shows 3 to 4 (out of 4) bars connection strength. when i click it to connect, it either does not get an IP, or it shows bad connection. So to be sure, i told my dhcp to give my milestone a specific IP. But when it shows me bad connection again, the device tells me that it has no ip adress.
i was running CM7 before installing CM10. I had wlan problems with CM7 too, but they weren't that bad. ad CM7, it sometimes did not connect, but a router restart has always fixed that, and once connected it alwas worked until i disabled WLAN.
I'd like to know if anyone of you could give me some hints on how i might solve the problem, or at least find out whats the source of it
Thanks
EDIT:
for some reason i'm connected now. i dont know why, so i tested disconnecting and reconnecting. didn't work the first time, but it connected properly the second try. although i got the connection now, i'm still interested in infos about the problems
Hi i am having a strange problem with my phone connecting to my WiFi at home on my phone. I find it will not stay connected to my router. I put the WPA2 code in and my phone says connected then it forgets the network and asks me for the code again. My phone connects to WiFi at work so i thought it was my router but my computer and Xbox work fine still on-line. It just seem to be a problem between my phone and router. I have tried lots of things from hard resetting my phone to changing the security on my router and resetting it I am now at the point where i am at a loss and have no idea how to resolve my problem. I have updated the software on my phone but still no joy Does anyone out there have the same problem or able to advise
Thanks
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant for you, so I will have your thread moved to your device section. ?

I'm not sure but I read somewhere this is a bug in the htc software. You can fix it by having a wpa code shorter the 6 characters I believe. Or maybe try changing to other wifi security protocol

If your phone connects at work with no problems, than its not the phone. The problem will be between the connection to your router. If changing protocol dint work, you can try open network (No pass, just for testing) if connects then its the security.
You can also check in wi-fi advance settings "wi-fi frequency band" its set to auto.
Hi together, i got my first onePlus this week.
basicly i really love it, but since the first day i am in struggle with wifi/internet issues.
I read already some Threads on this and other sites but i wans't able to Fixed the issue.
Now i didn't know how to solve the issue and hope one of your guys can help me to solve/localize the Problem...
At first i always lose the Connection, which could be solved by switching of the intelligent wifi (now i know, the wifi dropped because of the missing/slow inet Connection).
1. Problem Description:
the Oneplus is connected to wifi, but when i try to visit a Website or Open the AppStore the Internet Connection is verry slow, or not correct etablished. Sometimes, often after a Router restart or deleting the Oneplus from routers known device list, the Internet Connection via WiFi Works fo 1-15min.
2. Network Architektur.
OnePlus is connected to the Router (Fritz!box). The Fritzbox Works in client mode and gets the Internet Connection from lan 1 Port, which is feeed from a Radio Network (because we have a slow Connection i get Internet from a local Provider). the Fritzbox used 5ghz and 2.4ghz. the Last one is repeated by WLAN repeated(from avm too).
3. one plus os Updates:
- got Oneplus with Android 6!? but the Problem was present. (didn't Check oos Version because i thought an Update could fix the Problem)
- Update to oxygen os 4.1.6 (Android 7)
- Factory Reset because of the Problem
- flashed to Open Beta 10
4. what i have tried
-other devices
- on a Network from Family (with an other Router (from Telecom) and Simple Network complexity -> worked perfect
- remove repeated
- use only 2,4ghz and 5ghz
- changed WLAN channel (i have some 2.4ghz networks around me but nothing 5ghz, so this shouldnt be the Problem source).
- restart Oneplus and Router (which sometimes Works for some Minuten)
- configured Static ip on Oneplus (not possible in Router because client mode)
- Factory Reset
- perform wipe Cache
- flashed to newest Beta
5. What i want to try but where i was faced with other Problems:
- use ipv6 on Router,. not directly in client mode.
- root Oneplus to deactivate ip v6, not able to root, because OEM unlock doesnt Works (after entering Pin nothing happend, OEM is still locked).
i Hope somebody can help me or give me some Input.
best regards
