Extended Battery

Hi
I was just looking for bigger battery for my 540 and cant find anything apart of this w*w.mugen-power-batteries.com/mugen-power-1800mah-extended-battery-for-lggm750-gt540-optimus-gw620-gw820-gw880-gw825v-p500-optimus-one-gx200-gx500.html#
Any of you have some info on it or maybe use one?.

Haven't got one but Mugen make good batteries for others phones.

1800mAh isn't much different from 1500mAh

mAh = milliAmp hours
IANAEE (electronic engineer) but basically it is a measure of how much energy can be stored within the battery. Think of the number as a measure of how long the battery would run for at a constant draining current of 1mA *or* how quickly you'd have to take power from the battery to drain it completely in one hour.
In other words, using the example above, an 1800mAh battery would last ~20% longer than a 1500mAh.
If your battery would normally last 10 hours, it would now last 12 hours.
As for the original question of info on it / whether this qualifies as 'ultra-high capacity' you'll need to ask someone more familiar with batteries than I am

So has anyone got any experience with the extended battery? Worth the punt?

I'm really interested!

1800mAh won't probably make that much of a difference for Optimus. Optimus has one of the largest batteries for a phone of its kind. 1500mAh itself is pretty high capacity.
I really don't think the extra 45$ is worth the extra 300mAh. You are better off buying an external portable charger. They run at around 20-30$. You could probably get an excellent one for 45$.
For example, this one here,

Just get any portable USB charger.

Edit: Just look at the user rating, and this battery seems to be fake. The stock battery is better.

That must be fake. The highest capacity I have seen is 1800mAh but it's only 300mAh higher than the stock.

the battery is a misterius

I have seen this type of batteries that have a range of longer duration but there are many contradictions if it is good or not, is made in japan maybe that's a plus I'm wanting to buy a battery because the stock I have been short

there is a limit for it
and you will need to test every mah battery to find the compatible one
you should check the accessories fora of galaxy mini

You can't increase milliampers (mah) of a battery but if you want a better battery try searching for a 3rd party battery or buy a better phone.

I guess 1500mah won't work with Galaxy Mini and will cause heating problems similar to Overclocking abov 800 mhz.
Battery may melt so avoid such experiments.

No, 1500 mAh battery is not the highest for Galaxy Mini.
You can get a 1900 mAh and 2430 mAh battery from ebay.
I havent tried it myself but according to many other users it does actually prolong battery life and performance.
The time that the battery lasts is according to your period of usage and type of usage.
If you use your battery for navigation(GPS) or gaming any battery may well get over in half a day(if you use it continuously).

I bought 2430 mAh battery from eBay and it's absolutely useless, lasts the same of even less than the original.

It's not the highest one, maybe the most stable if u want to upgrade your battery. But be careful for buying that coz almost of them is fake

I want to buy new battery as my old battery not working properly. I want to know any battery other than stock1350maH battery sounds good. In many forums I saw about anker 1400maH battery had better performance than stock. But in official www.ianker.com I noticed no 1400 maH battery was available.Please guys Suggest me if you know any branded batteries other than stock if available for our ace. Sorry for my bad english

Dont buy a battery more than 1500 mAh.
Becoz it can directly effect on your hardware and damaged to your circuit also it will affect on your phone's life.

Just buy the same battery I got. It's worth the money and it's actually 1500mAh. Got 3 of em and a spare charger. Though the charger doesn't work anymore but I didn't use it anyway. Have used a 2nd one before because sometimes I forget to charge my phone over night so they're pretty handy.

I've seen 2450maH batteries but I've read that they are very bad.
Has anybody heard something about them?

I bought a 2430mah battery and it sucks. Don't think of buying that.

I havent heard of anyone getting really good battery life after getting a new one (at least not confirmed or proven) so just go with the stuff that seems reliable,legit and not does "9000+mAh öajndsljsnflksjdnfkajsnd"-batteries.
