hello guys , hmm first i am trying to downgrade my galaxy note N7000 from the first leaked version of ics firmware , what could i do? here is my problem , on the first time i use odin v1.87 to upgrade this leaked ics which is download from [LEAKed ROM] ***Android 4.0 Leak for N7000*** XXLP1,after that i just cant downgrade it or try to use recovery mode to restore it ,and i try to use the 2.3.6 firmware LA1 to flash it,at last i just stuck in the main screen of touch android to begin.programs stopped unexpectedly with force close, phone keep restart, can anyone help please?
First downgrade to Older ROM with PC Odin, you mat get boot loop, just wipe cache n wipe data, still bootloop, reflash again same older ROM with PC Odin
Get Root + CWM
update to newer ROm with CWM or Mobile Odin

Do not do such things! ! ! Your phone may already be obsolete. I9000 and i9001 is a very different phones! ! !

should be possible, you need to find the oldest possible stock rom and try flashing it with AiresVE.ops , MultiLoader Odin v.4.43
This happened to me, someone flashed cm for i9000 on i9001 and it worked for a while but it progressively started crashing, i took that phone and tried flashing stock but never could get pass setup connection in odin 4.43, tried all the variations (driver reinstall, new cable, remove battery, other PC etc) and in a hail marry attempt i managed to flash i9000 stock witch odin 1.83. Phone now works, enters download and recovery mode, but i still cant get past same error in odin 4.43 or flash custom recovery i any way (verification error from update method, adb flash just doesnt stick). ROM manager sees some custom recoveries but i cant enter them, my guess is because of different pit file from i9000.
Havent tried flashing i9001 rom with odin 1.83 because i cant use ariesve.obs from 4.43, i managed to connect to phone with heimdall and download pit, so that kind of connection works. My guess is that if i could somehow create pit file for this phone that works with heimdal i could flash proper stock rom, so im here to ask is it possible and how would i do it ?
hi , I had installed the ICS Stock Germany, and this morning I went to install the Rocket Rom ICS v3 but my note is not restarted more, then i flash the ICS Stock whith Odin Pc, since then my note is not restarted more, gets stuck on the screen of samsung , I have done several downgrades and upgrade ins roms Stock and Custom,it comes in so Download mode and Recovery, but when I go to a Full Wipe it crashes and restarts, please help me
Have you tried downgrading to a stock GB ROM with Odin and doing a wipe in recovery while on GB rom ?
Dont do data wipr on stock rooted roms
Hey , did you do full wipe on ICS stock LPY ( German release ) Rom ?????? Hope you have not . Haven't you read that most of the stock ICS roms have emmc cap bug ?? it will super brick your phone ! . Download stock Gingerbread KL3 firmware and flash it using PC Odin . But before that, flash the pit file based on whether your phone is 32 GB or 16 GB , and then flash KL3 . You might be doing good after this . If not and if you have done data wipe on LPY then the only way to fix this ( till now !) is to edit data partitions of your phone using adb tools found with android sdk , or get your motherboard replaced or whatever the Samsung Service Centre asks you to do . Good luck with the first step ! Hope that you ll be successful at first step
If you need any help feel free to ask , will help as much as possible.
I have included 16GB pit file , flash it through PDA slot in PC odin
I tried

Check Rocket Rom or Dr Ketan threads - best to flashback to Abyss 3.9 or 4.2 then reboot into recovery and factory reset before flashing RR3 or later. I've done this twice and it worked both times.
damn now im chickening out guys i need to know something...im on cm9 so i assume its safe to flash ics stock directly since its a safe kernel?now how do i go on about it?enter cwm mode wipe everything, download latest ICS flash with pc odin then root it?
also how do i recover my backed up data with TB?since i dont have an external SD yet
I am not sure what do u mean by samsung screen...is it the boot animation or the samsung galaxy note screen GT N7000 screen??? I flashed the criskelo's rom and I got stuck in boot animation....I was able to go to cwm recovery and download mode..but I was not able to flash anything via cwm...not even abyss kernel....I never used download mode on note yet...so I was trying to fix it without using pc....gladly I had an old version of franco kernel....which I was able to flash and then I rebooted into recovery and flashed abyss kernel...and back to checkrom...and now on aokp....

Hi All,
My galaxy note is stuck on the Samsung logo and just hangs there.
some info on what I did.
My phone has been rooted (this has been done a while now still on stock rom)
I put phone back to factory settings (as wanted to start fresh) all was fine still rooted
I got a pop-up message about a update so I installed the update phone rebooted
Then I got another message about a update think it was kernel file update
phone rebooted
Then I got another message about android 4 so installed this phone rebooted and now it just hangs when it gets to the Samsung logo.
I can get into recovery mode.
Any ideas what I should do?
I have done lots of searches but did not want to make things worse (if possible)
Should I try and flash ICS using Odin3 v1.85?
Or should I just send phone back to Samsung?
Flash a stock Gingerbread Rom using PC Odin. Then,if you want you can update to official ICS without rooting or root GB and flash custom ROMS.
Dont wipe anything from the default kernel CWM, see if your storage can connect to PC, if yes then copy CF kernel 5.6 lq3 and Abyss kernel 4.2 and flash Abyss kernel first and go to advance reboot recovery, then do full wipe, then flash CF kernel 5.6 lq3
Hi Thanks for the replies
I checked and I can go into recovery and access the sd card
I could not find the kernels you mentioned do you have a link to them
also when I have flashed both kernels will I then have to flash a rom?
maybe the ginger bread one like NoRmAlY_CrAzY said
I found this one that am downloading
N7000XXKKA ------ 2.3.6 2011 November------- N7000CPWKK3 -----------United Kingdom (Carphone Warehouse)
Should I flash that?

ok I flashed the ginger bread rom using rom Odin and its working i'll have to root again now i'll have to go read some threads about updating to ICS
Thanks Angie

after this i m flash abbyss kernal
after this my phone did not start and go to in recovery mode
but i m trying to flash using pc odin its stop on factoryfs
help me to recover plzzzzzzz
Does Download mode work?
If so, Download GB firmware for ODIN and flash it.
I believe you flashed the wrong kernel.
Hi guys, today I tried to install Jelly Bean from AOKP over my ICS from Team Nyx, but I got stock .... I can only access to download mode, but not to CWM .... I already tried to flash GINGERBREAD XXJVU via Odin but did not work, I also tried to reset the device with JV9_JV9_JV5 but also did not work ... is there any way to flash CWM or reset the phone from Odin ??..
Thanks !!
The only way to reset through ODIN is by flashing a rom. So keep trying.
Go into download mode & flash a gb stock rom with odin.
Then turn off phone go into download mode again and flash your cf root.
search for it here:

& Flash the jb rom of your choice u may have 2 do it twice
