[Q] galaxy note bricked after installing Rocket ICS v3 - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi , I had installed the ICS Stock Germany, and this morning I went to install the Rocket Rom ICS v3 but my note is not restarted more, then i flash the ICS Stock whith Odin Pc, since then my note is not restarted more, gets stuck on the screen of samsung , I have done several downgrades and upgrade ins roms Stock and Custom,it comes in so Download mode and Recovery, but when I go to a Full Wipe it crashes and restarts, please help me

Have you tried downgrading to a stock GB ROM with Odin and doing a wipe in recovery while on GB rom ?

Dont do data wipr on stock rooted roms
Hey , did you do full wipe on ICS stock LPY ( German release ) Rom ?????? Hope you have not . Haven't you read that most of the stock ICS roms have emmc cap bug ?? it will super brick your phone ! . Download stock Gingerbread KL3 firmware and flash it using PC Odin . But before that, flash the pit file based on whether your phone is 32 GB or 16 GB , and then flash KL3 . You might be doing good after this . If not and if you have done data wipe on LPY then the only way to fix this ( till now !) is to edit data partitions of your phone using adb tools found with android sdk , or get your motherboard replaced or whatever the Samsung Service Centre asks you to do . Good luck with the first step ! Hope that you ll be successful at first step
If you need any help feel free to ask , will help as much as possible.
I have included 16GB pit file , flash it through PDA slot in PC odin

I tried

Check Rocket Rom or Dr Ketan threads - best to flashback to Abyss 3.9 or 4.2 then reboot into recovery and factory reset before flashing RR3 or later. I've done this twice and it worked both times.

damn now im chickening out guys i need to know something...im on cm9 so i assume its safe to flash ics stock directly since its a safe kernel?now how do i go on about it?enter cwm mode wipe everything, download latest ICS flash with pc odin then root it?
also how do i recover my backed up data with TB?since i dont have an external SD yet

I am not sure what do u mean by samsung screen...is it the boot animation or the samsung galaxy note screen GT N7000 screen??? I flashed the criskelo's rom and I got stuck in boot animation....I was able to go to cwm recovery and download mode..but I was not able to flash anything via cwm...not even abyss kernel....I never used download mode on note yet...so I was trying to fix it without using pc....gladly I had an old version of franco kernel....which I was able to flash and then I rebooted into recovery and flashed abyss kernel...and back to checkrom...and now on aokp....

[Q] How to downgrade from official ICS to GB safely

Hello guys
Since warnings about N7000XXLPY ICS kernel risks of hardbrick galaxy note i suppose that's a lot of people like me who installed last ICS 4.0.3 want to go back to GB but are affraid to do it to avoid geting theire Note dead.
I asked the question but no answer i just found this video explaining how to do it ,The problem is that it is a downgrade from an UNOFICIAL ICS rom to GB.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr3DDEh8vyc&feature=plcp
STEPS : 1- go to recovery mode ( even it's not recommended to do anything with cwm with lpy kernel )
2- flash abyss kernel 4.2 final (browse zip )
3- reboot recovery
4- Wipe all- reset factory
5- always in cwm, browse GB rom and flash it
6- Reboot system
My question is : can we use the same way to go back to gb from official stock ics 4.0.3 SAFELY ? We have not many times to do it, may be we have one chance to do it right or we get the galaxy note bricked so plz any help will be appreciated .
Thanks
I have restored stock GB from stock German ICS twice with PC Odin. I had flashed the ICS ROM through mobile odin over a rooted stock GB ROM. I just flashed the ROM and NOT the LPY kernel. Had neither the root nor CWM.
I simply used PC Odin to downgrade without no problems.

[Q] Pc Odin Stuck on Factoryfs.img! Please Help!

Guys,
I need your urgent assistance .. I think I have bricked my phone and need assistance.. Basically I was running the Official ICS ROM which I got from XDA website it was the LQ2 kernel for the Galaxy Note.
Last night I custom flashed the Criskelo ICS v7 ROM but wasn't too happy and wanted to go back to stock ICS .. So I went into PC Odin and flashed the stock ICS Firmware.. upon booting I went into CWM (Volume up + home+power) did a factoy reset and cache, dalvik cache wipe.. Then reboot system.. The phone was stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note screen .. So I tried to Flash the Stock ICS LQ2 rom again via PC Odin and now it just hangs almost at 90% at factoryfs.img?
Am I completely messed up or is there a way to resolve this please can you guys assist me in what I must do.. I don't know if this is a soft or super brick..
Many Thanks..
Well lets look at some things,
- Can you boot into ODIN mode if you pull the battery?
- Do you have JIG to force ODIN mode?
- Maybe try flashing a stock GB rom to clean everything off if you can, then flash a a CF-root kernel, THEN try to go to ICS.
Stock Roms:

You might have bad IO blocks in your eMMC to which data cannot be written. That might be the reason why ODIN is failing at 90%. You'll either have to go through a complicated way and modify your PIT partition or get your Note replaced. Replacing would be a better idea

[Q] HELPPPPP please soft brick

Hey peeps iv got a big problem it happened yesterday with my Galaxy note GTn7000. I was on stock ICS LPT and was flashing new kernels through CWM when suddenly my phone just kept freezing on the Samsung screen when I start it up and it has been happening since yesterday. I think it was the speedmod ICS kernel that I flashed that made this happen. I flashed Abys kernel through odin and could get in to CWM. I did factory reset/wipe cache/dalvik/cache and then flashed checkrom which was on my SD card. Installation was fine but then it got stuck on the Galaxy note startup screen. I was searching for answers on the XDA forums and someone suggested that you flash a stock full wipe GB rom. So I tried to flash LC1 open Europe rom and was waiting for an hour the the rom to flash through ODIN which had only a bit left on the bar to flash and it didn’t flash it just froze. I tried 3 times and the same thing happened . I have used the USB jig to erase previous downloads and reset binary count. I flashed ICS LPT rom through odin and it flashed normally but when it starts up it gets stuck on the Samsung screen. Any suggestions? I can get into download mode and CWM so it means Im in a softbrick. Do you think I should download an ICS rom and put it on to my SD card and then try flashing it ? Help would be appreciated thanks.
Here is the video of what happens. Basically i have waited for 4 hours yesterday and it just stays on the samsung screen
Hey, Id recommend you flashing back to GB via ODIN before we continue.
ICS still has a few bugs and that could interfere with getting you back up and running.
Hey thanks i will download a new GB stock rom, i cant post the video link because im a new member dang...

So you've extracted the original tar file, you don't need to, just point the original tar file to the pda section of pc odin, it will sort out each partition for you.

Is it a rar. Or a zip? If it's a rar, re download from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997 then extract one level with 7zip to get the tar file.
