Flash Gingerbread KKA rom.
I guess it comes with boot-loaders.
There are param.lfs, sbl.bin files in ir.

Flashing Reboot problem

Dear Guru's...
I've flashed the SGS, with JS3 from samfirmware & odin...
Everything looks fine until reboot...
The phone keeps vibrating and do have the following error in recovery mode : 'Update media Can't mount dbdata..."
Conclusion it doesn't boot at all...
Any clues on how to solve that ?
ManyMany Thanks!
can u get recovery mode working ? if so try wipe cache and factory reset.

Recovery is working, But i do have the error here : " Your storage is not prepared yet etc etc etc.."
And download mode also working...
Is there any rom that I can put ?
if you can get download mode working you can flash another ROM thru Odin, start of on a stock ROM then work your way back to a custom ROM if thats what u want.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846913
I've got the same problem. Phone boots in both download and Recovery mode, but it cannot access internal SD since it was formatted in Ext4 by the lagfix (yes, I forgot to bring it back before using Odin).
Is there any way to solve this without sending the phone to Samsung?

The thing is " I use a stock rom from samfirmware...."...
flashing back to stock rom should remove the ext4 lagfix. did for me anyway.
link for stock firmware is in post above ^^^^
flash it again, and do re partition

Did that !
I'll try to do it with csc and modem file...
what is reset EFS Phone ?
I probably solved. I'm going to make a FULL flash to JPU with three files and PIT, then I'll upgrade to JS3, then will swith to a custom ROM.
This should work
sorry my mistake i assumed you already had 3 files and pit ... yeah that should work
dont tick EFS just the re partition and auto reboot f. reset time

tHERE IS JUST ONE TAR FILE???
you can flash with just one file. jus put the .tar file into the PDA part of odin. and thats all u need to do. no pit no csc no nothing just PDA
Reboot problems also
Hi! I was just wondering is this method going to work even I have custom rom (Darkys extreme edition 9.0.2) installed ?
Only asking because something went terribly wrong, and phone just keeps rebooting all the time. So with odin + I9000XXJPY (stock firmware) everything goes back to normal? and after that I can start all over to see what went wrong

[Q] galaxy note bricked after installing Rocket ICS v3

hi , I had installed the ICS Stock Germany, and this morning I went to install the Rocket Rom ICS v3 but my note is not restarted more, then i flash the ICS Stock whith Odin Pc, since then my note is not restarted more, gets stuck on the screen of samsung , I have done several downgrades and upgrade ins roms Stock and Custom,it comes in so Download mode and Recovery, but when I go to a Full Wipe it crashes and restarts, please help me
Have you tried downgrading to a stock GB ROM with Odin and doing a wipe in recovery while on GB rom ?
Dont do data wipr on stock rooted roms
Hey , did you do full wipe on ICS stock LPY ( German release ) Rom ?????? Hope you have not . Haven't you read that most of the stock ICS roms have emmc cap bug ?? it will super brick your phone ! . Download stock Gingerbread KL3 firmware and flash it using PC Odin . But before that, flash the pit file based on whether your phone is 32 GB or 16 GB , and then flash KL3 . You might be doing good after this . If not and if you have done data wipe on LPY then the only way to fix this ( till now !) is to edit data partitions of your phone using adb tools found with android sdk , or get your motherboard replaced or whatever the Samsung Service Centre asks you to do . Good luck with the first step ! Hope that you ll be successful at first step
If you need any help feel free to ask , will help as much as possible.
I have included 16GB pit file , flash it through PDA slot in PC odin
I tried

Check Rocket Rom or Dr Ketan threads - best to flashback to Abyss 3.9 or 4.2 then reboot into recovery and factory reset before flashing RR3 or later. I've done this twice and it worked both times.
damn now im chickening out guys i need to know something...im on cm9 so i assume its safe to flash ics stock directly since its a safe kernel?now how do i go on about it?enter cwm mode wipe everything, download latest ICS flash with pc odin then root it?
also how do i recover my backed up data with TB?since i dont have an external SD yet
I am not sure what do u mean by samsung screen...is it the boot animation or the samsung galaxy note screen GT N7000 screen??? I flashed the criskelo's rom and I got stuck in boot animation....I was able to go to cwm recovery and download mode..but I was not able to flash anything via cwm...not even abyss kernel....I never used download mode on note yet...so I was trying to fix it without using pc....gladly I had an old version of franco kernel....which I was able to flash and then I rebooted into recovery and flashed abyss kernel...and back to checkrom...and now on aokp....

[Q]Superbrick repair

Hello mates. I was with Chracks rom and I tryed to install Aspahlt 7.The game started to download and my phone locked.I tryed to unlock ,but was stuck.I removed the battery and restarted it.When I typed in my pin code it stucked again. No worries I thought it`s not the first time it happens.Reboted in CWM and tryed to install Abuss kernel to re-flash the rom (I manage to repair it that way few times when I`ve got the same problem) ,but phone stucked on flashing Abuss. *hit happens. Tryed to reboot in CWM - nothing. Tryed to flash stock gb with Odin ,but it stucks on Nandroid something. Any ideas mates ? Should I install gb with 3 files and how can I know are there 3 files in the zip ? Thank you .

If you were on that rom With just cf kernel afaik cf kernels are just stock kernels with root (meaning no MMC_CAP_ERASE disabled) and if you wiped from that cwm pretty much your phone died at that very moment.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.. About the 3 files it does not matters... It's the same for 1 or 3... The additional files are csc and radio wich are included in the single file and it won't make any difference...
So basicly if you can go odin mode and flash a stock gb rom(no matter if 3 files or 1) and get your phone working you are good.. If not then claim your warranty if you don't have a yellow triangle or binary counter

If you were with Notecore you didn't need to flash abyss because notecore its a safe kernel.. Meaning that maybe you though it was notecore? The rom has default kernel cf root.. Or you did something else... The thing it's that being stuck in factoryfs its not good.. If you have warranty go claim it as I said before... Seems like you are super bricked..

Thanks for the response! Yes can enter download mode holding the power, volume and home buttons. I've tried stock Australian roms and stock Hong Kong roms as I'm not sure whether its a AU model or HK model.. They're 4.0.4, I'm not sure what you mean by GB? Do you mean ginger bread actually and I should try download a rom that isn't 4.x.x??
Thanks for your time..
Yes i mean gingerbread(2.3.6)

after one installation is stuck.. b4 installing other rom... u need to reboot the phone and try again in download mode.. if u continue from the same plc where its stuck,, it will never progress
Did you try take your battery out a min and put it back again and flash the rom again.

Be careful, you might have one of your partition broken...
My friend had this before, and he finally succeeded to flash N7000DXLR5 firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
But then he checked his storage capacity was reduced to 7GB...
Do you have a warranty? If you've got some binary counter or yellow triangle, it is better to remove it first using a jig
Then go to the nearest Samsung Service Center, hopefully you'll get a replacement...
hm... definitely I'm sure one of his file partition is already corrupted...
@OP, you may need to check the thread on the PIT file method to revive your Note(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886)... perhaps you might have the dreaded bug already...
