Hey guys/girls.. so I'm a student from New Zealand, and I've just published my first Windows Phone 7 application. I've really enjoyed working on it and I'm looking for a little feedback and constructive criticism.
I've called the app Unify, and it is a remote control app for your Windows PC. I've tried to make it as simple and user friendly as possible. I think I have actually spent more time working on the interface than the code itself!

•Fast and responsive touchpad with dragging support
•Keyboard with shift, control and alt keys
•Media controls with haptic feedback
•Direction pad with arrow keys
•Command shortcuts
•Lock, sleep and shut down your computer
•Can be used in portrait or landscape orientation
•Simple auto-discovery of your computers
•Pin your computer for fast access
•Automatically turns your pinned computer on with Wake on LAN
Using the touchpad:
•Pointer movements - either use short flicks or dragging motion to control. This system gives you the benefit of accuracy as well as making it faster and easier to move to the other side of the screen.
•Left click - just tap the touchpad
•Right click - tap and hold the touchpad
•Double click - double tap the touchpad
•Dragging - double tap and hold. Once the phone has vibrated, keep your finger down and move it around the touchpad to drag
More features coming soon!!
Please try out the app and website (which I also built from scratch) and comment below if there's anything I could add/change in the next version. The app and website can be accessed here:
www.unifyremote.com
Pretty good!
The auto search works fine. One suggestion, touch pad is too sensitive, I mean a very small move of on the touchpad moves the mouse on the desktop a lot. Keep up the good work!

Wow thanks! Your reviews site is great btw.
I agree about the mouse issue - I need to add some sort of acceleration algorithm to it too. I think the issue is compounded by different screen sizes as well. Which phone are you testing on and what is your PC's screen resolution? I might just add an option to scale the movement as an interim fix.
The pinned applications in the command list just simulates the shortcut keys to launch them: SHIFT + CONTROL + WINDOWS + <number> I think, doesn't get the names. Great idea though... I never thought of doing that. Not sure if it's possible to get the names - will look into it for future updates.
I'm also working on a multitouch scrolling system for the touchpad, works great sometimes, other times it just doesn't detect multiple fingers. If I can get this working reliably, I'll be sure to include this in the next update too.
We have the review up : http://www.wpxbox.com/unify-remote-control-wp-app-pc-control/ along with couple of suggestions.
I will try to get the video done also but shooting video to show both and app and screen is kind of difficult but will try. As of now I have used your video.

Fantastic! Thanks heaps.
Quick correction - you can right click by tapping and holding the touchpad. As long as you don't move your finger, your phone will vibrate and right click will be done on your PC. Same sort of thing with double click and dragging - double tap and hold then move (but keep your finger down) once its vibrated for dragging.
Also, would it be possible to link to the application website - www.unifyremote.com - on your review page, might make it easier for people wanting to download the server.
Thanks again!!!!
Done. Wasn't able to to figure it out. Any plans to support Windows 8 in future ?

Thanks. The server works with Windows 8, but there are a couple of shortcuts I'd like to add, such as the charms, settings, search etc. As for a Windows 8 client - I've been thinking about it... Need to buy some new hardware to test it though.
The current touchpad behaves sort of like a touch joystick, and it's very hard for me to control properly
Any chance you could implement a setting to toggle the touchpad mode to something like a traditional laptop trackpad?
Edit: Found a bug. The touchpad doesn't work at all on my media center PC. Every time I try to use it, the cursor just shoots into the top-left corner of the screen.
Edit2: Tried it on another PC, same problem. So far that it's only working right on one out of three PC's. What's the deal?

Thanks for trying it out. You can actually use it just like a normal trackpad by doing short flick movements with your finger and lifting your finger at the end of the flick.
Very strange about the corner issue though... Have you got any other software that might hook into the mouse running in the background? Does it do it in particular apps or even when your just on the desktop with no other programs running? Also which software are you using for your media center and which version of Windows are you running… might have something to do with that. Let me know and I will try to reproduce it so I can work out what is going on.

Unify Server Beta Update
Hey guys,
I have updated Unify Server with a couple of tweaks, the main one is now you can adjust the touchpad sensitivity. This can be done by first downloading and installing the update from www.unifyremote.com, run Unify Server, and then right click the tray icon and you will see a pop out menu for the touchpad sensitivity.
There are more changes on the way, so let me know how it goes!
Your app is beautiful, contrats.
The only complaint I have is the mouse behavior. Like someone above said, it looks like a joystick. I wish it worked more like a touchpad (meaning that if I keep my finger still the pointer should not move).
Keep up with the good work!
Update - version 1.3
I've just submitted an update to Microsoft. Hopefully it won't take too long to get certified this time!
New features + changes:
•Optimised touchpad - now works like a normal trackpad with an option to enable coasting. Also smoother and more accurate with per PC scaling options available via Unify Server.
•Basic authentication - very basic password based security, should be handy if you have multiple users on the same network.
•Added settings menu - this can be found on the control screen as well as connections menu. Enables authentication setup as well as other options, including Windows 8 shortcuts (the Windows 8 commands are in beta and requires reconnecting to your PC to take effect).
Once the new update is available I will make public a new version of Unify Server to compliment it, which will unlock the new features. Thanks again for all your support and I hope you all enjoy the app!
The application works great. I have left an actual review on the MarketPlace to Promote your app.
However, I think you can allow a free trial ad-ware version with full functionality and no time limit to promote the app in the beginning at least.
You can also add Zune controls such as showing the current track info and allowing its manipulation since most WP7 users rely on Zune as the default player.
If you need help figuring out how to show track info, I can help you as I have already created an app based on .Net that does this. You can easily use the code or link the app to your Unify Server software.
Thanks again

It might have something to do with Logitech Setpoint (Logitech's mouse software). Setpoint automatically changes my mouse cursor and acceleration settings when I pick my Logitech MX Air up and wave it around (it's a laser mouse AND a gyroscopic mouse).
Any chance you could fix it?

Man this app is a life saver for me...it is on another level from any other remote app available in the marketplace. If you could add charms and settings shortcuts for windows 8...it would be that much better.

FANTASTIC work. Very excited for future updates!

Your name goes in Start-->Settings-->Personal (Tab)-->Owner Information
Owner name is a standard way of generating registration keys.
Also, I don't think we need a keygen for a $4.99 app. Eat one less Big Mac this week and support the developer. That said, has anyone gotten the accelerometer based scrolling to work? I've tried tapping, double-tapping, tapping and holding, double tapping and holding, etc on both the center (enter) button as well as on the Nav circle around the perimeter (the wording in the usage guide was somewhat vague) and nothing seems to work. Anybody got this to work? The other functions seem to be working OK, if not 100% reliably.
this is the iphones fault
a simple program like this would never have been charged for
then the iphones damn app store comes along and every program wants money now :/

I got it to work no problems, just double tap the center button(don't depress it, just touch) and you'll feel a short vibration to let you know its enabled. Its pretty awesome to just put a slight angle on phone and be able to flip through photos, emails, music etc right from home screen without pushing buttons, just see them flipping through until you hold phone flat to stop. I really like the app launcher as well. A well spent 5 bucks.

I think ill purchase it. LIKE YOU SHOULD DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't really like the scroll feature as i use ftouchsl but I like having 4 extra buttons. so i might buy it also going to test it a little bit first
the 4 buttons does seem nice
one for start
one for file explorer and a surprise for the other 2 i guess
the app is well worth the 5 bucks.
been using it for a couple of days and already i love it

I don't think the tilt scrolling is good for using in apps either, but it is a neat feature for scrolling through media. And plus you can disable/enable it without opening options, so its easy to turn on/off. I find the touchpad easier for a lot of the scrolling than actually using touchscreen though.

I wonder if something I have installed is conflicting with GScroll, because the tilt scrolling absolutely, positively won't work for me. I'm not depressing the physical button, just touching the capacitive face, so unfortunately that's not the issue. The only thing I can think of that could be conflicting is the SmartTouch scroll wheel functionality, but that is built into everyone's ROM from the factory. I've added a few additional programs to use with SmartTouch (through Schaps Advanced Config), but since the base functionality is already built in I wouldn't think it would be an issue. Anybody else have trouble getting it to work?
Some of the programs features are a bit useless (like the swipe to send arrow keys...isn't it just easier to push the actual arrow key that your finger is right next to anyway?), but a lot of the features are great. The four extra mappable buttons are awesome to have for these phones. The swipe to scroll is also a bit easier than reaching up on the screen for a scroll bar. If only this stupid tilt scrolling would work. I probably wouldn't even use it that much, but now I have to get it working, lol. All in all, I'm glad I paid 5 bucks if for nothing else than the four extra mappable keys. Although I really thought someone at XDA would have already made a freeware release, 4.99 is such a reasonable price why not buy it.
[Edit: A reinstall of the program fixed my issues. Tilt scrolling is working, and I can now go on happily not using it ]

Not really.. even if you tilt more it doesn't accelerate (as you would keep pressing a navigation key).
Some suggestions for the developer:
- tilt acceleration, if we tilt more the device the scrolling/navigation speed should accelerate
- an option to chose one of the following (for d-pad navigation):
tap & drag to a direction (eg: tap top, drag down => will keep scrolling/send navigation keep till I get my finger off from touch area. very useful when we need to scroll something large. the same as tilt acceleration suggestion, if we keep the finger on the touch area it will actually accelerate the scrolling, and not sending navigation key with pauses)
simple tap for scrolling/navigation. the touch area should be divided in 4 or 5 zones (one for click/enter key). if we keep the finger on the touch area it will keep scrolling/send navigation key)
- Gscroll is not compatible with all games (for eg: Tomb Raider)
BTW, tilt navigation works for me. Have to tap twice on the sensitive d-pad area (center circle). It vibrates when the tilt navigation is enable. Taping the capacitive area will disable the tilt navigation.
One bug found, touch shot doesn't work in Camera application if GScroll is active
Wow, now that I have the tilt scrolling working I actually really like it. I can see what others are saying about it not being particularly useful in long lists (file explorer, etc), but using the smart select mode in TF3D is AWESOME. Anybody that loved the teaser videos for schaps' TouchXperience ROMs will find that GScroll gives you a lot of those cool abilities to flick (tilt) your way through the entire TF3D menu. Flicking through songs, contacts, pictures, text messages, etc is really cool!
My main complaint now is just that the double-tap recognition is not 100% accurate. I think just holding the center button would be a better means of activating tilt scrolling. Then just release it when you want to stop. I wonder how hard that would be to change.
Has anyone contacted the developer? Has he/she been responsive?

Gyrator is a great app... with a load of functions but I found that I didn't really use any of them except the screen tilt/Gsensor function.
That said one of the problems I had with Gyrator is that it always stayed in my open apps which is not THAT big a deal, but would just annoy the crap out of my OCD brain!
Anyway I decided to make a different version for myself and anyone else who JUST wants the Screen tilt function.
This appliaction will:
- allow you to stop and start the screen switch as you please
- start up with your device if desired
- allow exceptions (Opera is an exception by default because it already uses the Gsensor)
* I recommend if you use Tomtom to add that in a well (to avoid the screen switching when you hit a bump!)
- NOT show up in the running programs list! (Most important thing to me!)
- You also do NOT need to install .NETCF 3.5 to use this. It should run fine on 2.0!
Version 2.5

Version 2.1 is still available if 2.5 doesn't work for some reason
Download changeScreen version v2.1 (2) here!

how does it work with manilla...aka touchflo3d? one problem i had with gyrator was sometimes it'd rotate tf3d as well.

For the HomeScreen (manilla) it will only rotate if you turn your phone completely 180 degrees - it should not rotate to any landscape posistion.

I see... I guess its a matter of personal preference... Trying to duplicate your problem I saw a few minor issues in my code that I need to fix. I'll add in an option to not allow the exceptions to rotate to landscape OR 180 degrees. I'll post when all is fixed!
thx you.
excellent.
I have one problem as well, when you press the volume up or down button and rotate the screen 90 degrees, it will rotate the manila and will be distorted. how do I add an exception to the volume control? I typed volume and it did not work.
Sorry to burst your bubble, I like your app But it's the same as GSEN. and btw, you could always hide the gyrator process from the task manager (I always did that). Lol.

I bet you loved every second of it!
Anyway. GSEN is okay but I don't like the fact that it takes up 3 icons in the programs list! Also there have been a lot of complaints about it within these forums.
I developed changeScreen to suit my own needs, I just thought i'd put it out there for the other people who may want something different.
Bottom line if GSEN works for you use GSEN, if Gyrator works for you then use Gyrator. There is no use in switching if you don't have a problem with those two apps. changeScreen accomplishes the same thing, just in a slightly different (and I think more concise) way.
Kraize - thanks for the compliment none the less.

I wanted to guage interest and know who was interested in getting in on the beta. I am about a week out from releasing a beta of the driver and if you PM me your e-mail address I will give you updates and let you know when it becomes available.

P.S. If any one has any additional feature ideas, I am willing to listen to them.
I'm interested in it
First off- Thank you i am so glad you are doing this as i have been waiting for some time
for someone to pick up this project. (ie. my lack of programming skills.)
But i do have some pointers...
You did say you were using the left and right panels for controls right?
Why not use the center button (like the Epix) to control the mouse, click
the center button for left click, and click and hold the center button for a right
click (same as tapping and holding the screen in some programs.
And to enable and disable the mouse cursor, do like you said with the touch
panel gestures.
Just my two cents.
Like i said before, thank you and goodluck on this project.
This would be great, my wife has the epix and thought that it was the coolest.
Sounds great but I would hope navigation is made from the left of the panel, with left click of the mouse with the center button... Hopefully the scroll function of the wheel can be retained for scrolling down pages and then using the other pieces of the pad for mousing.
It will be ambidextrous and user configurable as I am a lefty living in a righty world. I am going to try to retain the scroll, but I am not sure it will be possible as it senses a pretty wide band around the center button for scroll. In addition to allowing the user to configure which side is used for touch I am considering several different setups for buttons, but want to get the basic driver completed before digging too deeply into user settings. I do intend to rely heavily on the diamond/raphael community for testing once I reach beta. Right now it is still very basic, but maturing quickly.
I haven't decided if I am going to make it open source or not, but I am leaning toward doing so as I have been influenced by some of butler's code and a serial mouse driver for CE that Microsoft released the source to.
I am also using a hybrid of c++ and c# for the application, so .Net CF 3.5 will be required. If I get a lot of requests for a pure c++ version I may eventually consider it, but it s unlikely. People should have .Net CF 3.5 installed anyhow if they are power users.
I am also hoping that the completed product will be good enough to tempt some of the chefs of the more popular ROMs to include it as OEM software. I do have a background in commercial software development so I know the level of pollish will eventually get there but it may take a few revs before it is at that level.
Chris
Definately interested in this!
Sounds very thought out... Thanks for developing this as I find it almost a waste of capacitive tech hiding in the bottom of our screens.. Gscroll has some nice features (launch pads, side to side, up/down scrolling), but a virtual mouse would put it over the top if it has decent speed and scrolling built in (point, center click, cap scroll). If you can try to make the program compatible with Opera/IE, I would find that a big edge over whats out there today.
I was thinking about this earlier! Very interested! I was also thinking that the other side could be used to scroll. Like swiping up and down would scroll the page up and down (not the cursor). This would be really cool for opera.
Sounds like a great idea!
WOW! I am really interested in this, it sounds like a great idea!
how is it different from the GRemote?
This sounds like an interesting and fun idea. Good luck with it! Until I read through the thread, I hadn't realized the center scroll would still work -- wow.
@killerscene: Gremote has the PDA at as a mouse, while he means having a mouse on the PDA controlled by the capacitive sensor.
def very interested in this. Would be EXTREMELY useful.

That's great to hear that you are working on this idea. Actually, I have been working on it for more than a month but could not get it done quite right.
The major problem that I have encountered is that the sensitivity of movement on the left and right touch panel is low. It will make the mouse movement sluggish, and is extremely difficult to control small mouse movement.
I have discovered that, when mode 4 (that is the wheel mode) is enabled, then right after you give a rotate gesture on the wheel until the LED lit up, the left and right panel will become very responsive to the finger movement. This, however, holds only for some version of the htcnavi.dll. That means there must be some way to activiate the touch panels to higher sensitivity mode. I hacked it for a long time, but could not succeed. I tried polling the nav sensors, in a similar way like butler's method (essentially, butler call DeviceIOControl to read data, while I was calling HTCNavGetData instead), but polling at a higher frequency did not result in higher precision in sensing finger locations.
I hope that you will succeed eventually, and share with us how to increase the sensitivity in reading finger location.
Good luck.
That unfortunately is something i am running into too. I am trying to get around it through modifying acceleration values as you get closer to the edge so that it moves faster in the middle and slower aroundthe edges. I still don't have it working quite right, but I'm giving it a go.

I wrote this already in Butler thread...
I can imagine the left/right part(configurable for left-handed people) for mouse movement and act.button touch for emulation of tap/hold. Mouse mode can be enabled with starting a exefile or sliding finger down-up(bringup a mouse cursor) and disabled by sliding finger opposite of movement side up-down(shutdown mouse cursor). In landscape it should be fixed on left-side,90dgrs rotated,so you can have access for mouse cursor in ls mode.
What are you thinking about this guys?
There was a thread about this just the other day in one of the forums (Diamond, Raphael, or Developers section, idk).
Coming from a Samsung Epix, which has an optical sensor, it really makes navigating the OS a lot faster. You soon learn to use both the mouse with your thumb on one hand, and your index finger on the other hand to scroll flick, taps, etc. Basically you begin using both inputs simultaneously.
It really speeds things up.
It might mess with playing games using the default dpad, unless it was disabled prior. Perhaps include another mode which switches around the hotspots to form a virtual dpad. I think a winning solution would be to toggle the options between Mouse Mode, Virtual Dpad Mode, Normal Mode.

GRemote uses the GSensor for navigation. We are talking about having an actual mouse cursor that is controlled by the touchpad.
If need be, I would be more than happy to test and help you in any way possible.
A marvelous idea, mate. If I may, I must ask you to consider employing the navi-button to simulate left click & double left click by applying light touches rather than full press; not only will it make using the mouse single-handedly possible, but will also leave one of the pad's sides entirely available for extra functions which you might be contemplating.
Otherwise, I'm excited that you're taking this up... best of luck
Regards...
Hey XDAyers, was wondering if somebody would be kind enough to develop this useful tool.
Purpose:
Making the left and right navigation buttons easier, actually usable, since now they are currently useless due to impractical key pressing.
How:
The tool would actually disable all kinds of hardware response, and whatever physical button is pressed the action is defined by the program. Using both the physical button press in addition to your finger location on the capacitive area to define the action to be taken.
In other words, all the buttons that get pressed are useless/actionless without the capacitive area actually saying the coordinates of your finger. With that, if i press the capacitive area anywhere, even the home button while my finger was anywhere except the absolute top absolute left corner, the action would be left! Check the photos below to have a better picture of what i mean.

No replies? only poll clicking? Come on people, this could be the best thing to ever happen for the touch pro, we finally use left and right buttons. Start talking, give me your ideas, and please inform the Devs. you know about this, maybe one of them would actually implement it.
There's already something like this, it's called gscroll. However, it costs $9.

I own gscroll mate, but no its nothing like what am describing above
Gscroll does not use the physical buttons at all, its all about the capacitive area and so on. What am suggesting is using the hardware buttons for TAKE ACTION and the Action is defined on where your finger was on the capacitive area
BTW, about gscroll, do you know how can i disable the programs launcher so as to use the directions only?
The programs launcher is annoying and pops up a lot when all i want is to scroll/up down left right
Cheers
I agree with you in that this would be a very good tweak, since learning the supposed "sweet spot" for left/right keys is quite impractical while using the corners is much more intuitive...
I can only hope this gets developed!
Best regards and thanks!
yup
I love the idea. Both Gscroll and Sensor scroll have attmpted to make this work using only the capacitive area. Your method relies on the hardware buttons as well. I really hope someone can make this work.
For most uses of the phone I can make-do with it, but gaming is awful! Also, neither of the programs work with all games. Morphgear and some other older games I have dont read any input from the capacitive area. However, they do read the hard keys, making this a "possible" solution.
Unfortunately, my optimism for being able to ever do some serious gaming on this phone has faded. I wish I still had my Tilt

Why do you say so bro, i have the exact same feeling like you towards both programs, but am still optimistic about gaming on ma touch pro, if the tool above gets programmed, somehow, i believe it WILL solve all our problems
But who's the dev who can do this? Cannot find him yet! if only a dev can give me the commends or classes that talk to the capacitive are and hardware button, i would develop the tool myself, but i need a looot of work in the beginning
Well, well, well, you have renewed my wishy-washy hope again my friend!
But consider this - I guess I say this because of my current setup to make morphgear as usable as possible. I am running dred sensor, and set the home/call keys to left. This means that if i press any of the left/home/call it should press left. But it just does not respond as well as it needs to.
Don't worry though, I will keep the faith. And if you get it to work, you better have a donate button ready!
Thanks, and best of luck!

Thanks bro Wish you can tel me how to do the donate button, or it is simply a link to a paypal account somehow. Anyways, once i get it done, one way or another, as for the above way (dred) sensor, never tried it, but from what i understand, it disables the home and back keys, both keys are actually useful, so nope.
Hope the tool above gets developed by me or sm1 else, coz i believe it should work. Cheers mate
actually, with dredsensor it not only disables the buttons, but allows them to be set to any action, i.e. right or left. So I am having a hard time seeing that your method will make much difference. I think the root of the problem is where the hard keys are located. Referring to the "sweet spot" you will notice that the left and right buttons are quite wider than up/down. This makes it difficult to get diagonal button presses, because of the circle in the center of the pad is what you feel, and the buttons are inequally spaced.
Anyways, I hope you can make it work. Thanks again bro!

Well, the difference between dred and this imaginary tool hehe, is that dred actually changes the action key of the home button completely, in my proposed idea, you can still have a home back left and right dial and hangup buttons, depending on where your finger is located on the capacitive area, and all physical buttons are set to the action "Click"
Wish it works
i think it would be awesome to take this a step further and have it run in Opera like a trackpad. Maybe use the capacitive are as a mouse and have a click on the center hardware key make a selection. Kind of like the web browser in the Blackberry Storm

Sure. I've done nothing but use your browser since my last post. My thoughts, after using it on a Focus, running the trial version, YMMV:
I love swiping tabs. I love even more that yours seems to be fast and very little stutter flicking tab through tab.
I like the big back arrow and that it's the same design as the other on WP. Feels like it belongs.
Pinch to zoom and scrolling seems fast and responsive.
Swiping down to get tabs is different. Where it falls apart? We are all trained to flick the shade back up after we are done with it. Obviously, this is only an issue when you try to close a tab but that's counter intuitive as well. I want to press and see an X not hit the button, let alone go all the way down to the back button to get out of the shade. This needs work. It works well when switching tabs, bringing you quickly to your page and rolling up but the other stuff is counter intuitive to me.
Really digging the address bar at the bottom.
Originally I thought the arrow box was an old style zoom to page but, obviously, once press reveal it hides the address bar. A bit of a funky solution but I love full screens. However this ties into something else I have difficulty with: accessing the setting button. It's so difficult hitting those three buttons, man. All the options are cool once you get into the menu but getting there is a PITA. Why not make a menu box, three dots, on the right side of the page and switch the hide the address bar to the left?
You get special props for a Live Tile. I'd even give you a sloppy kiss if you could eliminate the Next Browser front and just make it flip with all my tabs.
Overall? Very nice!
Thanks for all that feedback! I'm always looking for ways to improve Next Browser. To help with the settings issue, you should know that you can actually access it as well by swiping from the bottom of the screen (or from the address bar if you're accidentally hitting buttons).

Thanks for asking. The answer is yes for the most part.
Anything IE supports it should handle just fine. It's not really in my control, but rather handled by the OS. I have noticed a few sites not working though, even in Internet Explorer.
I should be able to submit the next update by Friday. This will be a pretty big update. For more info, Facebook is the best place to follow Next Browser. (There's also an RSS feed if that's better.)

possible improvements I'd like to see
Thanks very much for a great browser. I've bought the full version and have some requests. I'm not sure if you can do much about them, as it's based on IE9, but here goes.
* I would like to see the back button removed (or make it an option) and replaced with the three dots for settings. I like the look of the button, but it's just not necessary as it then gives me two back buttons on top of each other - we've all already got a back button directly beneath it on the phone. So I see it as redundant. As a previous poster mentioned, hitting those 3 dots, even with a swipe is too difficult, so I think they should go there.
* I'd like to see the extra options pop up beneath the address bar, like with Vable browser, when you hit the extras menu button.
* I'd love a refresh button next to the +tab button as i use that quite frequently.
* I'd like to see a way to add the current page to your faves/bookmarks quicker. A star on the toolbar, perhaps?
These thoughts aren't necessarily very well thought-through. I like how you do some things, and equally, how vable browser does some things. I guess i'd kind of like a mashup of the two. I keep pinning one, then the other to my home screen.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely try to do something with the settings to change the toolbar.
Very good: Design and idea. Also a big + for the google search - bing brings not nearly the same results.
But it´s slower than IE, no chance for easy access to the bookmarks, also no easy way to create them. No way to choose between mobile sites and websites in the settings, the dock shows the wrong symbols (lock, when it´s unlocked, open, when it´s locked). An easy access to the settings, also to the saved passwords would be also helpful. Switch down doesn´t work always. In the test version it worked better.
I think, there is much to do.
I wish you good luck for your work.
