Try to charge it fo about 4 hours first. See if you can see the battery icon during charging.
Meanwhile, could you tell us the chronological detail of what happened?
1. What type of G-Tab do you have? P1000? GSM/CDMA?
2. What firmware/kernel did you have before flashing? and what were you trying to flash using ODIN?
Which step were you in when you accidentally close ODIN?
can you explain in more detail?

If you had JPJPC, then your G-Tab is GSM P1000.
well, with this limited amount of information can't help you much, but, try these steps first:
1. Charge your G-tab by charger for about 4 hours. (Please let us know if you get battery icon while charging.. But continue charge your G-tab for 4 hours even if you do not see any battery icon).
2. If after charging you can go to download mode (Power+Volume down), than great. Continue just flash as you were but be more careful.
if after charging you still can't go to download mode, then try do this:
a. On your computer, start ODIN.
b. Connect your Gtab to PC using USB Connection.
c. While connected, press the POWER + VOLUME DOWN button for about 5
seconds then release. See if ODIN can detect your device.
If after you did these steps ODIN can detect your device, go ahead flash your G-tab with the ROM you were flashing, even if you can't see anything on your screen.
If that doesn't work, post again, we'll try something else.
See this guide for references that you think may help you too:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133590
Note (if works after step 2):
you can download any official firmware at http://fus.nanzen.se/
1. Download Check Fus Downloader 2.1
Open Check Fus Downloader, and select the correct model of your G-Tab, choose a Firmware for your region. It will automatically decode the .enc2 file to.zip file
2. Extract the .zip file generated from decoding file to a folder and you will get
tar.md 5 file.
3. Start Odin - put the .md5 to PDA and leave everything else as is.
4. Go to download mode on the G-tab (Power + Volume down) - connect to your computer.
and click start. It takes about 6 to 7 minutes to do the flashing.
Can't guarentee if it would work, but good luck.

It is possible u flashedd the wrong ROM or kernel that sgould not be used for your device. Although you have a blank screen, see if odin can recognize your tab.
Plug your gtab to the computer, start odin, press volume down+power button for 5 seconds. If odin still can see you than flash a rom following the check fus instruction above.

either of them can detect my device. the screen only turn like that when i charge it, when i unplug it, it turn off and cannot turn on even i press home+vol down button
I know what it does. If you plug your device via usb, eventually, the screen will turn on, and you'll be able to flash your device via Odin or Heimdall. The difference between the usb port and the charger, is that the usb port only gives the tab 500mA of power, the charger gives the tab 2000mA.

I decided to upgrade to Cog2.2beta5 from Cog2.1.4 today using ROM Manager. Everything seemed to go well but after install and reboot all I got was a black screen and subsequent reboots landed me at the same result.
So I thought restoring back to stock with Odin One Click from this forum, the one with all the ROM files built right in, was the best next step. I downloaded Odin and followed the instruction to the T and it got stuck at the PIT step. After a few attempts at it now my phone won't even power on. I've let it sit without a battery in for several minutes and even charged it on a wall charger for 30 minutes just to make sure it wasn't a dead battery. Still won't power on or respond at all.
I'm fairly new to all of this... Any ideas on what would cause a total melt down of the phone to the point of not even powering on? It has been flawless for me since launch.
Didi you download the drivers? also did you unplug the phone while doing the flash>/
pull battery sim and sd if you have one
Wait a minutes or so
plug in USB
hold vol up and down
put in battery
If the phone does not immediately go to download mode, you have a fancy paper weight that doesn't even weigh that much.

I did download the drivers and from everything I could see, my system and Odin recognized the phone without issue.
I had to unplug it during the process because the process froze in the same spot for well over an hour. I didn't see any other choice.

Guess it's a paper weight then because the phone won't power up at all let alone go into download mode.
Thanks for your time guys.
sounds like you might have done exactly what i did with my first captivate and yes it IS bricked! i know you will read "its impossible" to do that but i "thought" i followed the correct steps and flashed only a pit file. what it does is repartition your file system but apparently nothing is added after that...
not sure what steps you took on odin but it sounds like you got the same error i did and then the same issue so im going to assume the same thing has happened here...sorry matey

I had mine hosed for a while and this is what I did to get it back.
When it is unplugged and everything is out of the phone (sd, sim, batt) , hold the power button down for 10 sec, then release.
Put in battery, hold vol up + vol dwn, Plug into different usb port, Plug into phone.
That should get you into download mode
Mine did this too and the steps mentioned fixed it for me

What did you try to flash with Odin? (with version, variant #, with/without bootloaders)
What was the Odin log?
nothing, no roms yet. i was in the first part of the instruction. this is what i follow
1. Download and install the correct drivers below (mac and linux don't need drivers)
2. Plug in your usb cable to your phone and computer
3. Open Odin
4. Enter Download Mode (see below)
5. Click Start
6. Be Patient, the first boot will take a while
where can i find the odin logs?
Hi there I got a Samsung captivate SGH-I897 and I got a custom rom installer from Rom Kitchen. I wanted to go back to stock rom but once i get into download mode the phone not loading the rom ODIN stays in DO NOT TURN OFF THE TARGET!please help get out of that and use my phone again!the Base Rom i Used on custom rom is XWJS5 v9.6 with Firebird Kernel
Thank you for your time
close odin 1 click, unplug phone leave it in d/l mode, open odin plug phone back into usb, you should see a com port then like 7 or 3 or something. then hit start. Sometimes I have to repeat process 3 or 4 times before odin works right. if it isnt doing anything unplug it, remove battery put battery back in hold volume buttons down when u plug it back into usb and should go back to d/l mode. make sure odin is opened first.
I ve tried all these the problem is that I am at Phone - ! - PC and its hard to get to Download Mode but after many tries I all of a sudden I get in that mode then nothing more I can do!
Does Odin recognize the phone when you connect the USB cable when your phone is in download mode? Also which OS is your PC running? I was having an issue with Odin not pushing the stock rom and I had to start it as administrator in Win 7 to get it to work.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA App
Yes DOES recognize the phone but not pushing the ROM on it!I am on Windows 7 and i always run ODIN as Admin!
Any ideas?
I've heard Odin can be flaky and may take several attempts before it will work. I would keep trying. Also possibly change which USB port you are using on your computer and see if that helps. I was in this exact same scenario last week. I would turn on the phone and get the computer/phone/exclamation point of death screen. I couldn't get the phone to boot or into download mode without using a JIG. Finally on about the third try Odin worked for me. I started Odin as admin and almost as soon as I plugged in the phone to USB I hit flash and it worked. Best of luck...
Odin is not flaky. It works if you follow instructions. It's the user's fault, not the software.
Anyway, this is probably the ten millionth time I've posted this in the last hour, but here's how to get into download mode if nothing else works. If this doesn't work, you hard bricked your phone and would need a JTAG flash.
Loggik said:
Unplug the phone from the computer and remove the battery, SIM, and external SD if there is one.
1. Open Odin one click.
2. Plug the phone in (without the battery in the phone). Do not press any buttons, especially the power button.
3. Press and hold the volume rocker (holding down both volume up and down).
4. Insert the battery while holding the volume rocker.
5. The phone should boot into download mode. You can then let go of the volume rocker.
Now wait 30 seconds (if you press "Start" too soon, it will not work). Then press "Start" and your flash should finish.

my phone is in download mode but odin hung once i unplugge and plugged back in ever since phone isnt see by odin or pc?
Yes, as I stated in my post above; you must reboot your phone every single time you go into Download mode. What I mean by that is that if you go into Download mode and plug your phone in, then unplug it, you cannot plug your phone back in unless you reboot your phone.

Didn't realize that you weren't the OP. Regardless, I was referring to you.
Anyway, this is a more serious case than I thought. Have you used the AIO Captivate Tool? If so, did you install the LibUSB drivers? Those will disable Odin from working (I'm probably going to PM Bay_wolf sometime soon about that...).
Do get everything working again:
Plug the phone in while it's in Download mode. Open the start menu, right click on "Computer", and click "Manage". In the left sidebar, select "Device Manager".
There will be a dropdown labeled "LibUSB Devices" or something with the word libusb in it. Find that dropdown, right click the Samsung USB Device or whatever it's called and select "Update Driver Software...". Then select "Search automatically for updated driver software."
An alternative is to just use the "Flash to Stock" option in the AIO tool. This and the above is assuming that you had used the AIO Tool and installed the LibUSB drivers previously. If you have not, then you may have to try and re-install the Samsung drivers. If that doesn't work, ask to borrow a friend's computer for now to flash back to stock, because this happened to me before and I didn't know how to fix it, but I was about to re-install Windows anyway so I never figured it out.

2.Get in download mode (it took me many tries but finally I made it)
3.Disconnect phone
4.Reconnect phone
5.Choose the PIT file
6.Uncheck Auto Reboot
7.Hit Start
After that I took out the battery put it back again and power up.the phone will boot but not show the main screen it will only vibrate!then i used the AIO pack to put it back in recovery mode and i reinstalled the Custom Firmware I was using. Now is on and working again!I really dont know now if I can flash back to stock!

Hi All, i have a several problem with my phone.
I tried to install cyanogenmod, with no results. The problem becomes when i tried to go back to the previous android (the original).
I tried a lot of times change it, but now i can't do anything because the phone restart automatically just turn on, and because that, i can't connect the phone to my computer via usb (the time between a restart and another is about 5 five seconds).
Other thing that i like to refer is that the phone can't start in download mode (i can do that before, via odin, but now that solution doesnt works since the last android change version that i do).
I hope that one of you can help me please, i don't know what i can do.

Maybe i dont understand good, do you say that i have to remove all (including the battery) and then press power button literally for a minute (without the battery) and then try to put the phone in download mode?
I have to say that my phone is unable to enter in download mode from factory (i can access to download mode with a modification with odin, but now i can't do that).
Neither can connect my phone to the pc, because restarts in less than 5 seconds and the pc is unable to detect it in so little time.

So I just got a Galaxy Ace (S5830i) and was all excited to root etc.. with no problems. Researched that a bit and flashed (again not sure if it's the right term) back to retribution. However since then I haven't been able to use my phone.
I just get Samsung boot screen. I couldn't enter recovery mode however could enter download mode. I followed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989&page=4
however got stuck in Odin on a zimage. After 10 mins or so my phone turned it's self off and now will not turn on. I'm mortified and have no idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wish I'd never played with it now :crying:
PS. Know I'm an idiot..

I think it is just a softbrick.Download odin3 v3.07 from the dev section.Connect your phone in download mode(power key+volume up+volume down while turning on) and put the stock rom file from sammobile.com into pda section and click start.Hope it helps. This will get you back on stock rom.If you dont understand me,refer the unbrick tutorial in the dev section.Cheers!

Remove battery and then try it......it should work. Connect via cable and try entering download mode.....insert battery if you see download mode and then flash a stock rom.

what abt battery charge?? if its fine probably ur on hard brick...check this steps If your phone doesn’t boot into download mode..
Step 1 – Prepare odin with the firmware u want to flash (go and find firmware in samobile.com and use odin 3.75 ==>its in my skydrive:laugh: )
Step 2 – Remove battery and connect your galaxy acei to the computer;
Step 3 -- Insert battery holding Volume down + Power + Home
Step 4 – At this point Odin should have detected your SG Acei ( Yellow rectangle should appear);
Step 5 – Click Start button in Odin and wait about 5 min.
If all goes well it should come back to life.

Hi Thank you
Think maybe it's hard bricked? Will not go into download at all. Followed all the above steps. When I put the cable in with no battery and hold volume and power buttons the computer registers something is plugged in with tudung sound however almost instantly disconnects it with dutung sound. Odin doesn't get a chance to detect my ace.
Any further suggestions?

I suggest unistalling, cleaning traces of your current Samsung Mobile phone Driver, then re-installing a clean driver from the below link. The fact that Windows detects your phone for a second or so confirms that it is detectable.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11633550
Once this is please confirm back to us if Windows detects your phone.

Friend,
I had similar experience, my phone doesn't show GT -S5830i boot menu, no recovery mode, no screen activity on download mode (Odin). But odin in my PC detects com port correctly when connected via USB and pressing [volume+ volume- power button ]
But I finally managed to flash via Odin and my phone worked properly.
I'll give you that Odin package and PDA, modem, csc files after uploading to share site.
Don't worry, this is an Android community, we are all ready to help you.

are u already install samsung kies/samsung usb driver?
On my rooted T810 I mistakenly hit restart through Knox and ended up in Odin mode. If I do Power + Volume Down it'll show the Samsung logo for a second, then immediately go to "Downloading...do not turn off target." Other key combos like recovery mode don't seem to work for me (unless I'm doing them wrong). What should be my plan from here? I'd like to unroot at this point, so try to flash a stock rom through Odin?
Thanks for the help.
What do you mean restart through knox?
POWER + VOL DOWN should simply restart the device unless you are holding home as well.

I hit restart from within system security. I think that's what started the problem.
Power + Vol Down would start to restart it, but as soon as the Samsung logo came up it would switch to the "Downloading...do not touch target" screen.
I kept it plugged in overnight, but I don't think it charged due to the state it was in because now it won't turn on at all. Wondering if I truly bricked it now.
Just hold POWER + VOL DOWN again. It should reboot.
If it reboots to download mode again you're gonna have to flash something to reset it.
You could just flash twrp or the stock firmware.

Just tried. Nothing. Tried it with both the charger disconnected and with it plugged into the USB on my PC. I left it connected to the wall charger all night, but it doesn't look it got any charge.
Thoughts? Take off the back and try disconnecting the battery?

Get the latest firmware for the T810 from sammobIle and get Odin from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/1mujevgk0brle3f/Odin-v3-09.zip
Only get Odin from there as there are a LOT of fake Odin downloads on the web.
Thanks Lightn1ng and ashyx. Just waiting on the firmware to finish downloading.
FYI- When I got home I plugged the tablet into my PC USB and it flashed the logo screen for a second, then flashed the "D/L, do not...." message for a split second, then the screen went black again and I haven't been able to get it into the download mode or restart or anything.
Oh, and when I plugged it in I didn't get a beep or a pop-up in the notification bar that the tablet had connected with the PC.
Ok, guys, I have Odin and the firmware now.
I fiddled with the tablet a little more and now I'm starting to think I have a bad charger connector. I plugged it in and the screen turned on to the D/L, do not.... screen and then turned off, but if I wiggled the cord a little bit I could get it to come back on or come back on with some flickering of the screen. Still doesn't fix my "downloading, do not turn off target...." issue though. Should I go get a new usb charger cord and see if that changes anything? If that's an issue then maybe I could get back to the point where I could flash the software to it. I dunno.

The issue is you have no charge in the tablet.
That's why it's only displaying momentarily.
Get some charge into it with a different charger and cable.
Once you've done that just flash the stock firmware and all will be good.

Ok, I'll give that a try.
To flash in Odin:
1) Get Samsung USB drivers from http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117 (download the zip file)
2) Install the Samsung USB drivers
3) Open Odin
4) Plug device, in D/L mode, into PC using USB cable
5) In "AP" slot, select the .tar.md5 file you downloaded for the firmware (you might have to extract the firmware zip to find this file)
6) Make nachos
7) LEAVE EVERYTHING ELSE IN ODIN ALONE!
8) Click "Start"
9) LEAVE USB CABLE PLUGGED UNTIL DEVICE AUTOMATICALLY RESTARTS
10) Eat those nachos you made earlier
Hey guys, just wanted to pop back on to let you know I successfully flashed my tablet back to stock, so I'm back up and running. I really appreciate the help!

You need to post the solution.
It's very frustrating for others that have a similar issue to find it was solved without the solution posted.

The solution is posted. My specific problem in the end was that my charger/USB cable was bad so my PC wasn't recognizing the tablet.
I followed Lightn1ing's directions (except for making nachos, haha), but here it is again:
To flash in Odin:
1) Get Samsung USB drivers from http://developer.samsung.com/technic...o?v=T000000117 (download the zip file)
2) Install the Samsung USB drivers
3) Open Odin
4) Plug device, in D/L mode, into PC using USB cable
5) In "AP" slot, select the .tar.md5 file you downloaded for the firmware (you might have to extract the firmware zip to find this file)
6) LEAVE EVERYTHING ELSE IN ODIN ALONE!
7) Click "Start"
8) LEAVE USB CABLE PLUGGED UNTIL DEVICE AUTOMATICALLY RESTARTS
