I don't think this thread was intended to be sexist IIRC, but I think inevitably in a male dominated field like this, guys think they have the upper hand. I work as a lawyer, another male dominated field, but the smartest lawyers I ever met were women. I know many very highly skilled ladeez who share our passion for rom hacking and tweaking etc.
So IMHO it's best not to joke too loudly about geek girls - I don't think many men would take a knife to your gonads, but we know that women are mentally equipped in uterus for a pre-emptive de-gonadification. And buying all those handbags and shoes is a stronger motivator.

Ok everyone. I tricked you. Obviously from my posts yall know I love Android. However when you saw this title I bet you wanted to argue with me about it. Well guess what. I have a website I just launched where you can do just that. Informal Debates is a debate community and I desperately need people who want to join the site. It's fun to debate but not about politics. Though I do love how people hate "liberals" which is what this country was founded on... smh.

I was reading through the site and someone made the case how the constitution is outdated because it allows criminals to have guns, I was like ugh, *facepalm* I know sooner or later im going to get sucked in to set the record strait.

How can you be desperate for users if you just launched the site? I would study SEO and get effective keywords running through a sitemaps xml file to get crawled if you want users. After that's setup submit it into the search engines. Many of them.

Not desperate but I just want people to use the site. I have seo measures in place, though I do need to set up meta tags for the dynamic pages. I just figure this is one way to get people interested. Besides even good seo takes a month to see any results.

A free tattoo is usually a bad idea. A tattoo is permanent and paying for quality work is a necessity. I have quite a few and I'm happy with all of my work. Once it heals, you may be able to have someone fix it.
What happened is they went too deep and/or overworked the area. Good luck with that one.

That sir is a horrible assumption to make. I was making fun of it because it is supposed to be spelled emote not emot. Hence the reason spell check says emot is wrong and emote is right.

Use xda app and you'll have back all the good ol' smileys(for now)

Ah, but 'emote' is a word in the English language meaning "to display exaggerated emotion as in acting behave theatrically" - it does not refer to emoticons.
That (and the fact that it was still too damn early in the morning here) is why I made the assumption

ee mot icon and not ee moat icon?
Also I realize that emote is a seperate word however emote is still the proper spelling of the shorthand for emoticon.

I pronounce the second part as 'i-con' (the 'i' as in tin, not as in my)
Until this thread I had never actually seen anybody try to abbreviate the word 'Emoticon' to anything and I can't actually find a precedent either way at the moment.
Doesn't take away from the OP - they are bloody awful :crying:

I've always seen it as "emots" in it's abbreviated form even though it is pronounced "emotes". I think the differentiation is because "emote" is a verb. LOL
But it could just be laziness. And at least it is in haxor speak as "3m075".
Anyways, I made a compromise and corrected the title. It shall be "emōts"

Why anyone would want one I do not know, I'm typing this on an iPad 3 work have forced on us (they wouldn't exchange it for a transformer prime) and it is such a heap of junk.
Anyway, American woman in the US goes into an Apple store with her Iranian uncle and speaks to him in Farsi, sales guy hears, asks what language they're speaking and when they tell him it's Iranian he tells them they can't buy any Apple products.
When they complain to Apple they're told to order online so it doesn't happen again! Great vote of confidence in their shop staff!

It should be locked. If you want to discuss Apple then go to the Apple forum. If you want to tell us what you hate then post it in the "I hate ..." thread. If you just want to be angry and swear then go away and stop polluting XDA - your views aren't needed and you should remember there are youngsters here as well as old gits like me.

Some one had to do it. This thread may go in so many directions that I be pulling the Minority Report trick on it.
