Hello guys, this is on my mind.. i have a home network, modem, router, computer, xbox360, and mediaplayer. From my computer i can access and transfer files of my media player. Now i want to access and transfer files with my OB from my computer or media player.
Is it possible? So yes, how?

Is there a way to connect to phone via bluetooth?

And by that not meaning tethering or active syncing. I don't want to sync my phone. I just want to transfer a file (58mb) from my laptop to my HTC Tilt's storage card via bluetooth. Normally I use the USB cable and the phone will be detected and I can see it in Windows Explorer. Then I click on it like a drive and paste the file.
you don't have to actually "sync" it. You can disable all syncing and just use the file explorer. Or you can enable the ftp folder on your phone(under bluetooth settings). After which you can go to your bluetooth explorer on your PC then go file sharing or ftp etc. Your particular computer may be differnt than mine.

Accessing shared bluetooth folder on PC

I am trying to access the folder that I shared in the bluetooth options on my laptop via bluetooth. I have vista, on the Tilt, i checked the FTP option and on the PC, I pointed to the directory that I want to be visible with bluetooth devices.
I cannot seem to connect to it or find any info regarding the matter...
Is this even possible?
I simply want to share my "My Music" folder so that I can see it on the tilt while connected via bluetooth and transfer music to my tilt via blutooth without having to use my PC via the drag and drop method.
Thanks

File transfer using BT

What's the easiest way to file transfer from PC to NC cm7 using bt?
using Bluetooth File Transfer and is so slow
Why not just use the USB cable or a wifi transfer app? Bluetooth on the Nook was never meant to be used

We use switch at the office and no wifi router or ap, got bt though. I use wifi router at home.
Anybody could direct to to easy wifi adhoc connection?
You can use myphone explorer to transfer files via wlan(and tons of more stuff) to your pc.
On another note, have anybody had problems receiving files but not sending?
For some reason I can send files to a phone, but I can't receive files from that phone over BT.
If there was no wifi in your working area, then BT is the only choice besides USB.
I had a mess trying to get BT file transfer working, ended up using adbWireless to push/pull the files I wanted.
Try File Expert from the Market. It's free and supports HTTP, FTP, SMB(Windows Network Share), and BT file transfer methods. Alternatively if booting from Internal Mem on Nook, copy files to MicroSD and the put MicroSD into Nook, if Booting from MicroSD, then insert MicroSD into Computer running Linux and copy files to Forth Partition(Should be the Biggest).

Drop box is also worth looking into, though like other suggestions it requires wifi.

Transfer Files From Mac to ATT Tab

Hey guys, sorry again if this has been asked before,
How do I transfer a file from my Mac to the ATT Tab?
There seems to be no USB option on the Tab and the Tab wont mount on my desktop.
Kies don't support Mac file transfer.
Thanks
I use WiFi File Explorer PRO. Seems to be much faster than USB and it should work on your mac.
or use airdroid.
i forgot how to use usb when i used airdroid.
Honeycomb, on this tablet, doesn't use USB mass storage because there is no SD card. It uses MTP storage. It is functional but has some issues. Just use the USB charging cable from your charger and connect the tablet to the computer. make sure usb debugging is turn off unless you want to attempt to use abd to push the files.
You can get wifi file explorer, a free app that will attempt to connect the tablet to the computer via wifi.
Another option is a file sharing service like dropbox or sugarsync
http://db.tt/1v0BC1VS
these let you upload files to a cloud server. Then install them to any device with internet access. The starting point is 2GB but you can't expand that. If you want to go the route of dropbox, that link will give us both a little extra space
Thanks, I found that WiFi Pro app and it works fine.
I also just bought the G-Tab 7.7 so will be returning the 8.9 anyway.

WiFi Explorer

I have a NAS connected to my router by ethernet which I store all my media on, is there any way I can connect to this from my phone when connected to the same router via WiFi?
I've seen plenty of apps to access your phone from your PC but nothing that fits the above.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Click to collapse
If you would like to access all files on your PC you can use LAN option in app called ES Explorer, it's really good. If you only need access to media such as movies, mp3 you may be satisfied with BSPlayer (it's got LAN mode).
If you just want to access media on the NAS then you can use the AllShare app that is preinstalled. It will automatically detect media servers on your network.

+1 for BS player - it's awesome! For the few occasions I need More power I also use es file explorer.

My NAS isn't DLNA, it's just a standard 250gb drive that's connected to my router via ethernet. Am trying bsplayer, not had any success as yet but maybe I'm doing something wrong.
