hello there...
i have a problem after flashing ROM...
i cant flash any roms other than miui...
tried with minicm, primeHD, mika v3 n xperience 5.0
i'm stuck at kernel..never reach bootanimation...
but if i flash miui rom...then only it boots..
fyi, i'm using alfs-08acm7
Don't forget to do a full wipe! And check the ROMs are they capable of the kernel that you have chosen.
maybe you have to go through a long process...repair through SEUS and the unlock your bootloader again...i hate that process doing again and again....
i think your bootloader is stucked or cracked

Reflashing with Seus will not relock the bl, but reflash with seus, maybe something with the kernel

X8 ....After unlocking bootloader it went out of SIM signal....imanage to solve this problem.
But i have a mayor problem: I`ve tried to install GingerDx, PrimeHD, MiniCM9, on Sock and Custom Kernels and it always stuks at booting.
Before unlocking bootloader stock kernel ROMs were runnig all right, even PrimeHD 7.0 with nAa 11 worked but not anymore.
Anyone knows what is happening, should i relock and unlock it again?
did you fill wipe? you need to flash kernel, install rom and full wipe

Yes...full wipe= Done...but doesn`t work after full wipping.
well are you sure you have unlocked your bootloader?
re-check with s1tool...if it's unlocked then with flashtool go back to stock rom, kernel(android 2.1) and then root it again install recovery and then first try to install some other rom for stock kernel and then install custom kernel and then custom ROM
Pay attention on your ftf kernel files...i accidently downlaoded U20 nAa kernel instead of x8 nAa kernel...and guest what-->that kernel didn't work so whatch out for which phone is ftf kernel file
i hope i helped

Hi all...
My friend sent his X8 to a phone shop to get it updated to android 2.3.7 and ended up with a bricked phone cause by that phone shop.
Now, which according to him stuck at the white "Sony Ericsson" logo...Which i know is a soft brick and most probably can be saved by flashing it with PCC or SEUS or FlashTool.
I have ask him to flash it with SEUS or FlashTool, but not successful, still stuck on the SE logo, i doesn't know weather he do it wrongly or does not has any patient...
I gonna buy this phone from my friend, and repair the phone myself.
I want to ask u guys is there any other reason for the phone to stuck at the SE logo other than bricked phone? Could it be a hardware prob?
8/6/2012 UPDATE:
Just now my fren turn on the X8, it stuck at the white "Sony Ericsson" text, and after a moment, the phone reboot itself and stuck at there again and reboot itself again and again...
guys, based on the latest update from my friend, can this phone be saved?
And do share some experience if u do encounter such prob...

Help guys...
I dont really know bout the condition. Usually works with seus or flashtool. Maybe something has been changed, like kernel or/and baseband. Maybe u would need to flash stock kernel and baseband too. Try flashing them and hope it ll work.

try this X8_E15_2.1.1.C.0.0_generic.ftf.7z
Make sure your flashtool is at it's lastest version
Flashtool-0.6.9.1-windows.exe
Tips: Just double click the firmware during flashing operation and ignore second second windows that shows information about the .tft package & press ok

Did you follow the tutorial step?
Should be no problem.
you have no problem with bootloader, your bootloader is being successfuly unlocked.
as long as you can access cwm, full wipe and reinstall the rom, everything should be fine!

What kernel did you flash, CM have their own set of kernels and using the stock kernel with CM will cause boot-loops and this may be your problem! Flash the kernel from the CM package first then reflash the ROM, or if the kernel was the problem then flashing it via flashtool will solve the problem altogether without reflashing the ROM!!
Hit THANKS if I helped!!

Is it a drivers problem?!! Have you installed the fastboot drivers first?
No, no, no!!
You flash the CM10 kernel via fastboot. Boot loop is because you're missing the correct kernel (you still have stock kernel)

Hey guys, I've been browsing xda for a couple months and now I decided to create an account since I've met a problem I can't overcome and I think I could use some help of the members in here.
So what I am trying to do is install the ICS kernel to my X8 and then install the CMD Rom, but everytime I stuck in bootloop after I install the nAa kernel.
The steps I followed are
Root The Phone
Install x8 Drivers
Unlock the bootloader
Flash nAa Kernel
But after flashing the nAa kernel it just stucks in the Sony Ericsson logo and I have to remove the battery to reboot the phone, I managed to recover it by flashing a stock rom and I tried again installing a different nAa version but still no luck. I also tried wiping data & cache & delvik cache as I read in some threads that may helped but still nothing.
I am kinda new to flashing new roms on devices so I don't know I followed the steps correctly. I also used the search function and found some threads that helped me unbrick the phone back to stock rom, but I can't install the nAa kernel.
Any help would be really appreciated since the x8 device is a friend of mine and I would like to return fully fuctionable.
Thanks for taking your time to read the post and help me out with my problem!.

Read the first post carefully before trying to unlock bl: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17378137 (that's one of your links, i think)
Also make sure the manufacturing date it below 11w29. You should not see the se logo once you've successfully unlocked your bootloader.

Sony Ericsson logo should not appear after flashing naa kernel , this means you could not flash the kernel correctly .
try to flash kernel for two or three times , sometimes it doesnt work and you should try again.
notes: if you see naa logo then sony logo this means youve successfully installed kernel and all you have to do is to flash a rom from recovery menu.(when you turn x8 on and naa logo appears, you should start pressing back button to enter revovery)
- use compatible rom and kernels

That's the guide I used to unlock my BL.
Manufacturing date is 11w12 so I guess that's fine. Also I am sure the bootloader is unlocked because I am getting a small "r" when I am using the s1tool. Maybe I should flash stock rom wipe cache & data and try flashing the nAa kernel?
