X8 ....After unlocking bootloader it went out of SIM signal....imanage to solve this problem.
But i have a mayor problem: I`ve tried to install GingerDx, PrimeHD, MiniCM9, on Sock and Custom Kernels and it always stuks at booting.
Before unlocking bootloader stock kernel ROMs were runnig all right, even PrimeHD 7.0 with nAa 11 worked but not anymore.
Anyone knows what is happening, should i relock and unlock it again?

Yes...full wipe= Done...but doesn`t work after full wipping.
well are you sure you have unlocked your bootloader?
re-check with s1tool...if it's unlocked then with flashtool go back to stock rom, kernel(android 2.1) and then root it again install recovery and then first try to install some other rom for stock kernel and then install custom kernel and then custom ROM
Pay attention on your ftf kernel files...i accidently downlaoded U20 nAa kernel instead of x8 nAa kernel...and guest what-->that kernel didn't work so whatch out for which phone is ftf kernel file
i hope i helped

Hey people,
i was reading a lot of posts and topics and i'm really really really very confuse now.
Some people say that we put the kernel file in the Flashtool folder, blablabla, and then we flash, blabla, some people say we have to change another file and make a bundle or whatever and blablabla, blablabla, blablabla! a lot of ways are told in the different topics
I just want to know exactly all the steps from downloading the kernel to turn on the phone with the new kernel (i already unlocked the bootloader sucessfully)
If theres differents steps from kernel to kernel, i just want the steps for the FXP Kernel and (if diferent) to the CM Kernel.
Thanks in advance
I did like that :
1.download kernel linuxdx
2.put ftf to firmwares folder in flashtool
3. Run flashtool
4.press flash
5. Select linuxdx kernel
6. Flashed linuxdx in less than 2minutes
7.take out the cable
8. Boot phone, install gingerdx
9.reboot
10.Enjoy new kernel and ROM
Sent from my X8 using XDA Premium App
So... what about the loader? We don't need to do nothing to that? And is that the same process to FXP Kernel?

If I try the linuxdx kernel and want to switch back to original kernel that I am using how would I do this? Do I have to back up the kernel to use it again? If so, how would I do that?
Thank you for your help!
Just download stock kernel too, it is posted in few places on forum.
If you will not want LDX ot FXP kernel then you just flash stock one.
Remember about full wipe if any problems after changing rom or kernel.
Also stock kernel will NOT have recovery... do backups! ;]
Thank you for your help!
That "bla bla bla bla bla" way is the correct way!

If you are useing per made kernel like linuxdx.04
loader is all ready in the ftf file
If you get a file call kernel.sin then you will need. The loader.sin
And make a ftf file in flash tool

yes you need to unlock bootloader
I flashed the latest official firmware...
Than after all my attempts i can't install any ROM, except official 2.1.
Please, write me instructions how to install CM7 - i need help...
I have rooted 2.1 with xRecovery - what's next?
Go to xrecrovery choose instal custom zip from sd card hoose zip from sd card find your mini cm 7 install rom and factory reset/full wipe.
It depends on ROM. Some of CM7 works only on custom kernels, so You should first check if You will be able to unlock bootloader. Look behind Your battery - on the stick there should be something like xxWyy which will tell You the year and the week of Your board. If it's older than 11W26 (26th week of 2011) - U may unlock bootloader and install custom kernel (on Your own risk ;P). If not - You shouldn't do this and search for ROMs working on SE stock kernel

Also, some ROM required CWM instead of Xrecovery, so read carefully before attempting anything.
Hmmmm
I unlocked bootloader long time ago(10WW48 on the sticker).
to przemek4113: Just installing from xrecovery gives me a unbooting phone.
I tried Froyo, but it doesn't boot too.
Then i'm flashing(Xrecovery doesn't give me a booting phone even if i recover all system) official 2.1.
This phone was bought with GinderDX on it. But latest versions need new kernels(flashing kernel bricks phone).
May be try Previous versions of GingerDX?
Really, i tried about seven customs...
P.S. I'm installing xrecovery ROM's from Xrecovery and CWM ROM's from CWM...

Mind to elaborate where you read that "latest versions need new kernels"?
GingerDX runs on STOCK KERNEL, LinuxDX as well as Alfs. I fail to find the part in doixanh's post where it says something about forcing a certain kernel to be used.
Make sure you have an older x8 than 11w29, its under the battery. When the number is 11w29 or newer, you'll not get CM. Unlock your bootloader.
Download and flash FXP kernel. Install official CM with the kernel built-in CWM. I recommend to flash nAa kernel after install the CM, it's much better.

If you want CM7 you should go to this thread...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362585
That's my fault - i was speaking about another ROM. Not GingerDX - but it doesn't boot too.
I followed advise about miniCM7.
Flashed kernel ->then wiped all(i disliked the message about ext4 - there's no this partition - probably that's the problem???) ->installed ROM. Nothing.
"nAa kernel" logo appears and then it reboots.
UPD:
I've installed GingerXperia(v19) via CWM.
Then -
I've flashed all kernel, fota and smth else(not all files from 2.1.1).
Then it booted...strange)
But i'll try to work with other kernels...

Flash Tool - I've seen links on it thousand times on 4pda.ru, but not here - i suppose it to be in the branch about X10.
http://www.mediafire.com/?z7fmpiragbbdxdu - here is flasher.
http://depositfiles.com/files/c2gllgt6t - or here, with official firmware
It would be great if somebody could provide the step by step procedure of flashing my w8 to get past the se logo....
1)Download all archives above
2)Run flasher
3)Press "Flash" and choose necessary firmware
4)follow advices of software
5)reboot -> You have official 2.1
then
1)check your bootloader(http://4pda.ru/forum/dl/post/1227710/S1tool.7z) with this tool
2)unlock it if it is able for you
3)take root(superoneclick with debugging)
4)make xrecovery
5)install any xrecovery zip
or
alt 5)make CWM
alt 6)install any CWM zip
or
install kernel
then install zip
Firstly try it from xrecovery. If you have some problems - write PM to me)
I have done it and successfully flashed as per flashtool...but now even i cant boot stuck at "sony ericsson" now the animated logo works and reboots automatically...pls help

Should be no problem.
you have no problem with bootloader, your bootloader is being successfuly unlocked.
as long as you can access cwm, full wipe and reinstall the rom, everything should be fine!

i think i should flash gingerdx first and then flash stock kernel.... is this ok ??? because if i flash stock kernel first, i will not enter in CWM and my x8 will stuck on sony erricsson screen.... pls suggest
I recommended to you use gingerdx with nAa-gb kernel it has simple procedure and quit good from stock.
Just flash nAa-gb kernal and flash gingerdx rom
Officially corp via W8 using ixperia

I suggest you to reinstall stock firmware (Kernel+Stock 2.1) using SEUS and first get a running 2.1.
then install xRecovery or CWM and flash GingerDX,(using x8toolbox) as i know you can't flash a rom first and then kernel(correct me if i'm wrong)

Hey guys, I've been browsing xda for a couple months and now I decided to create an account since I've met a problem I can't overcome and I think I could use some help of the members in here.
So what I am trying to do is install the ICS kernel to my X8 and then install the CMD Rom, but everytime I stuck in bootloop after I install the nAa kernel.
The steps I followed are
Root The Phone
Install x8 Drivers
Unlock the bootloader
Flash nAa Kernel
But after flashing the nAa kernel it just stucks in the Sony Ericsson logo and I have to remove the battery to reboot the phone, I managed to recover it by flashing a stock rom and I tried again installing a different nAa version but still no luck. I also tried wiping data & cache & delvik cache as I read in some threads that may helped but still nothing.
I am kinda new to flashing new roms on devices so I don't know I followed the steps correctly. I also used the search function and found some threads that helped me unbrick the phone back to stock rom, but I can't install the nAa kernel.
Any help would be really appreciated since the x8 device is a friend of mine and I would like to return fully fuctionable.
Thanks for taking your time to read the post and help me out with my problem!.

Read the first post carefully before trying to unlock bl: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17378137 (that's one of your links, i think)
Also make sure the manufacturing date it below 11w29. You should not see the se logo once you've successfully unlocked your bootloader.

Sony Ericsson logo should not appear after flashing naa kernel , this means you could not flash the kernel correctly .
try to flash kernel for two or three times , sometimes it doesnt work and you should try again.
notes: if you see naa logo then sony logo this means youve successfully installed kernel and all you have to do is to flash a rom from recovery menu.(when you turn x8 on and naa logo appears, you should start pressing back button to enter revovery)
- use compatible rom and kernels

That's the guide I used to unlock my BL.
Manufacturing date is 11w12 so I guess that's fine. Also I am sure the bootloader is unlocked because I am getting a small "r" when I am using the s1tool. Maybe I should flash stock rom wipe cache & data and try flashing the nAa kernel?
