Hi, I have Xperia X1, and the touchscreen is not working. I use virtuamouse, and that helps me to use the ''phone'' (using that as an palmtop). How can I fix the screen without paying?

Hi VaderSKN,
I also had a problem with the not working touchscreen last week. I also used the virtuamouse appication but it was hard to download this app without computer on the x1 with broken touchscreen
Try to disassemble the phone and remove the dirt between the display frame and the touchscreen.
Another way I read is to remove the battery over night. Maybe this will work for you.
Hope you bring your X1 back to work.

I have just installed L26_Kaiser_Diamond_V8_lght and now the screen will not accept input.
It goes to the initial windows screen where it asks to tap the screen to setup but it will not accept any tap input.
Other people have flashed the rom succesfully.
I have flashed many roms and have had no problems so I am thinking it has nothing to do with the rom but maybe something else.
I took out both the sim and the memory card. Reinstalled the battery and reflashed to a different rom and still same problems.
I bought the tilt unlocked and using it in Canada right now so I cannot send it back for warranty.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Anyhow, I know in the ROM thread Leo states something in the First Post and Changing the SPL to fix Screen Freezes.

I concur with Jimmy. See video below.
It's weird everytime I slide the keyboard the screen is like blackout for secs...
About my phone:
I bought a second hand X1 online. And I sent the phone for being refurbished by a ' refurbisher' shop online too. The keyboard, casing and digitizer is fixed with new box and new accessories.
i read after google about bad cable in X1 but my problem is temporary. can it be an initial sign of cable failure???
ADD:
Sometimes the screen become irresponsive at all. I have to reset the phone manually. Is it another intial sign of something?
i have the similar problem, but mine is worse
when i slide my keyboatd out my screen completely blacks out,and i need to slide back in,then wake up the phone.i still havent found a fix for that.
Oh the dreaded flex ribbon issue. There is a fix for that, you have to buy a new one and replace it. Unfortunately you will have to open up your device to replace it, which is easier than it sounds. Here is a link that details the issue and the possible fix for it.

I eventually upgraded because the flex ribbon goes out all the time. I've replaced mine 3 times already. Sucks because I really liked the keyboard on the X1. I still contemplate re-fixing it for the hell of it.

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 phone.
The touch screen has a problem whereby it seems to be like you are pressing the screen (but not actually touching the screen at all) and the "Applications" touch area of the screen activates randomly.
Like "phantom" finger touches.
It seems to be a problem around the lower right hand side of the touch screen.
Does anyone know what might be causing it and how to fix it?
I have the same problem.
but i have to say it begun when i installed ICS on my phone (i9000)
and after i took back the 2.3.6 and the problem is still here.....
i cant go to the service 'cause im abroad until june....

anyway i have the problem on the lower left side of the screen....
Hi,
My problem is not related to a software upgrade because i have not upgraded the thing in many months. This problem is only a few weeks old. I guess it might be due to an app update, but i don't see how.
i have some bad news pal....
i brought my phone to the service and they said that i have to replace the touchscreen...
I went to the samsung support web site, got the address of a local Samsung service center, and went in. They said the phone has a 2 year guarantee, so they replaced the touch screen for free. It was a Samsung Galaxy S I9000.
Dropped it into the shop in the morning, had a working phone back that same afternoon. I did not have any purchase receipt, so they just used the serial number of the unit to check if it was still in guarantee or not.
Had the same problem when my phone got a bit wet, turned if off and removed battery, waited some hours to let it dry in a warm place, then I just set everything back together and problem was gone.
Hope this helps.
Hi everyone! I am new around here , as a user, but i visit this forum every day.
Just compliments for you guys!
Your tutorials helped me many times, your ROMs got my phone alive and lot of other things.
But now, it happened to appear a problem that seems to be impossible to fix.
As the title sais, the problem is that the soft keys aren't working anymore.
I flashed Gingerbread and ICS official firmwares with Smart FlashTool but they didn't solved the problem.
I ran a keytest in CWM and they work fine.
in the log appears that each key command equals to 0 while the touchscreen touches equals to some strange numbers like 63738291.
the commands also work on gingerbread when the phone is plugged in,and even then the whole touchscreen goes crazy.
So, i don't think is a hardware problem.
I found sort of a solution of editing a database in an internal folder /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db , but i don't know how to edit it.
Can someone help me?
Does anywone have the fix of this?
Right know i am using SlimBean with Navigation bar, but is frustrating that i can't use the main keys.
Is about Menu, Home, Back and Search keys.
Excuse me for my bad english, i from RO.
Also, if i am posting this in the wrong section.
Thank you!
having the same problem sometimes ... usually outdoors when the temp is under 20C ... indoors are working fine BUT outdoors (example: in a car ) when I plug in the charger are the soft key working fine, til I remove the charger.
I think my problem is about remapping. They work in CWM key test and show 0! Can someone help meee?!?!

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has faced this problem before.
I was charging my phone and listening to some music simultaneously using an aux cable in my car. As soon as I removed the aux cable and the charger, the call display changed into some weird language or symbols(I could not understand any of it). The dialer page, call log page, favorites page and contacts page were not readable. It was some sort of symbolic language which was very hard to understand. I am using the matrix live wallpaper. The symbols were something like those that fall in the wallpaper. Everything else on the phone was fine including messaging, internet, playstore etc. I already posted another problem which I was facing because of the charger. I'm not sure whether I should change the car charger or not use one at all. It's a 1 A capdase charger. If it's not a charger problem, would it have anything to do with the aux cable? Or would be a problem of using both the aux cable and the charger together?

Sorry mate, I don't want to be rude with you, but be patient, i'm sure when someone will read your post and have a clue about whats going on with your phone, he will help you. 120 views doesn't mean 120 persons ignoring you! I'm sure you prefer to have 1 good answer then 120 that are wrong.
