Help!!! How to restore to factory setting for warranty - LG Optimus 2x

My optimus 2x need to restore to stock factory setting for warranty. But I have flashed cm7 and I also done a nandroid backup for my origenal stock rom.
Can anyone teach me how to restore my phone for warranty?

Since you have a backup of the stock ROM, it's as simple as going to recovery and restoring that backup. You can also optionally unroot it, I'm sure there are many tutorials for that out there.

csunny95 if u want the stock recovery then this link might help u
http://android.modaco.com/topic/336320-4-apr-r1-stock-recovery-image/
All u need to do is restore ur stock rom backup and flash the r1-stock-recovery-image through clockworkmod recovery. This will remove clockworkmod recovery and replace with stock recovery afterwards you can unroot ur optimus 2x.

Super warranty service proof restore
1. nvflash v10b

Help!! hanged at boot after restoring Nandroid backup!

My O2X had some problems recently and I decided to use "fix permissions" in the CWM recovery to try to solve it. Before this, I did a Nandroid backup using the latest ROM Manager (with CWM recovery 3.0.2.8).
After the backup, I did "fix permissions", then reboot. But most of the texts on the screens and menus are missing!! that's very strange. Luckily I had my backup.
So, I reboot into recovery and then did a complete restore. But the worse thing happened... the phone hanged at the boot screen with the LG logo (before the animation). It just stopped there... I tried to restore some earlier backup as well, it's the same!
I'm totally lost, because CWM recovery had been so reliable before... I had used Paul's version many times before and it worked without problem... is the newer version buggy?
Anyone know what's wrong? and how to recover??
Dunno whats wrong but if you want ur phone to work again use smartflash.

It happens when restoring CM from backup as well, the solution then is to reflash after restoring.

you mean reflashing the baseband?
No, the cm zip file. Obviously not what you want if you're on a stock ROM though.
But even if you're on a stock ROM, you can download and reflash a stock ROM over the top .

Thanks all for your kind advice. I have flashed the whole firmware and restored an older backup.
And i have reverted to use v10a rom as the v10d and the new baseband seems causing a lot of issues.

Changing the ROM doesn't touch the baseband. You need to flash that separately.

phone stuck on lg logo but can install the rom

hi i have a lg optimus 2x korea and i cant boot into custom rom.i installed cwm recovery and clear cache, data and successfully installed my custom rom but when i rebooted the phone i was stuck with the lg logo.can someone fix this.thanks also i forgot to backup.so how is their a method to return to stock
Try wiping everything and flashing ROM again. Give it a 2nd chance. Else you can download another ROM (in pc etc), put it in micro sdcard and flash it.
You can go to stock by using smartflash(search in Development section), but believe me its more pain n the ass to do that!! besides you lose you root and recovery too.

Use LG update tool to update to the latest country ROM and then you can get back root, custom ROM and so on....best always is the LG update tool which wipes all in a safe and best way
Try and try as I might, I can't get the LG software to recognize the phone no matter what I do.

[Q] How to get back to Stock rom ace HELP please

Hai guys
I've rooted my ace, and I've installed cyanogenmod 9 rc2 from maclaw studio's. But I want to go back to the stockrom. I've made a backup before (by clockwork mod), so my question is, can I restore it and use my original rom (android 2.3.5). I haven't tried it before. Should I do something else before. Need I Odin. Plz help.
Hi pal!
You could restore your previous nandroidbackup from the recovery without any problem.

You can restore, but if you have bootloop after restoring just wipe both caches

But my phone isn't rooted any more. (After the update, I don't know why). Must my phone be rooted before the restore, or isn't it necessary.
I think you need CWM recovery; and so, yes, you need root before.
Anyway, before doing anything you may do another nandroid backup of your new firmware..
Good luck

R: [Q] How to get back to Stock rom ace HELP please
Root is not needed in order to use the CWM correctly. If you restore your backup successfully and everything works you're ok I few time ago I installed CM 7.2 on my Ace with CWM without pre-rooted rom on.

Hi, have u tried to flash the official firmware by Odin?
It's Very Easy my friend
Simple Bro , Download the firmware files from sammobile.com then Google for Galaxy Ace Odin ..I guess the version is 4.38 or something like that ..and make sure you download the cooper file with it then flash the original firmware using Odin.So then your phone is back to how it was when you bought it..now flash CWM Recovery again and then restore your back up.
I hope this was helpful.
If you want the instructions on how to do this ..let me know ..I'll give you think link for the files also

Should I install the same root file by clockworkmod, or another file, because it's the second time. I have already superuser on my phone, but it don't give privileges at my apps. It's very strange. Thanks for your help.

Hi Tob1234!
The rooting method depends on phone's firmware (and android version), search for yours.
If one method doesn´t work for you, you could try another, eventually you'll get it.
You also could install from recovery -CWM- (acording to the OP's instructions) any stock ROM from the threads thus, as you know, they are already rooted.
BTW, I'm on a sotck one: NaTHaN's ROM with Space Kernel and, for me, all goes like a charm.
Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the link. But when I restore my backup, made with my old rom, I would be back to that rom, or not. That sounds easier. And, if I need Odin, is it possible that I can use it, because I've read on a site that you can't use Odin when you have used clockworkmod.

Hi Tob1234!, when you restore your backup, made with your old rom, you go back to that rom as it was when you did that backup (apps, settings and all).
You don't need Odin for doing that, just use CWM recovery if you want to restore your old backup made with CWM.
You can use Odin, but with other special files, NOT with nandroid backups.
To have CWM or not doesn't matter for using Odin.
BTW, all this stuff is in the links.
Good luck, Tob!

[Q] Can I create full nandroid + stock recovery from stock phone? ROGERS

Hi Guys,
I currently have two HTC ONE's on Rogers. One is totally stock, and the other is unlocked with ARHD. What I'm looking to do is return the unlocked phone to totally stock without an RUU since it doesn't exist for Rogers yet... I want to do this not only for myself, but a good handfull of other users on here who want a stock Rogers nandroid + recovery to return to stock.
My logic says that on the stock phone, i should
1. Unlock the boot loader
2. Soft boot to CWM recovery
3. Take a full nandroid
4. use ADB to backup the stock recovery
5. restore it all on the unlocked device
Problem is, I really don't know how to do steps 4-5 technically. I can unlock and softboot into cwm, but how do i backup the stock recovery from there? and then how do i flash it to my ARHD phone etc? I've searched and searched and searched and really can't find all of the answers and i don't want to piece too many things together and screw it up.
Need some help, Thanks!
In the stock phone, after flash of CWM, do a nandroid backup, this is saved on sd.
You can mount the sd with CWM copy the backup to pc and after restore it in the phone with ARHD

I've read Mike's guide, its good - but doesn't touch on backing up a stock recovery from a stock phone. Doing a nandroid backup doesn't backup factory recovery either, as far as I know.

I thought CWM didn't backup stock recovery partition? The whole goal of this is to have a copy of the original Rogers recovery that is unavailable to us at the moment.

Backup Stock V20A

Hi,
I want to play with CM 10.1 RC2 and Kernels, but I want to save existing information if I will dislike CM RC2. Any way to save all official ROM (CWM, etc.)? If not, where to find to download final, official European V20A? I will save settings and apps with Titanium Backup then.
Thanks.
If you have a unlocked bootloader and cwm already installed u can perform a full backup from ur stock rom. If u dont have a unlocked bootloader, you have to do it first... use the script methode to unlock it.. this method forced no full wipe of your system and data like the official LG method... If u have unlocked boot into fastboot and flash the cwm recovery.img when u get a error message like bootloader is locked u have to perform at fastboot this command: fastboot oem unlock it schould apear now ready... Now you can flush cwm recovery... After that reboot mobile into recovery and make your full backup and then u are ready to flash CM-RC2
Hope it helps...
