Hi ppl, I bricked and received my new Mini, so I'm happy.
Now, I'm asking for multi ROM support, it is possible on our Mini?
Example:
I want CM7 to play games and CM9 for normal use.
It's called "Multiboot" (like Windows + Linux on PC) and I don't know any Developer who had done this for Mini.

How did you brick your phone ?
And I have wondered about this question myself but I don't think it is possible to have Multiboot.

Hi, I have a rooted galaxy tab. I recently just installed a custom rom and after, it doesn't boot anymore? It only stucks at the boot screen. May I know what's the issue here? Is it a brick or something? Any helps appreciated. Tks!
it sounds like a soft brick, which isn't too bad at all Just switch your tab over to Download Mode and then flash another ROM that is confirmed working on your device.
A hard brick would be if your tab didn't power on in any way at all no matter what, and that would be pretty bad :/
Hi, tks for ur reply! Do u mind telling me where to download those roms? Tks once again!

Hi! I managed to get my rom on samfirmware.com and even flashed it via odin. But one thing, it managed to go the boot screen but then it doesn't move at the "samsung" glowing screen after that. Did I do anything wrong?
Your best bet will be to restock according to Overcome method.

You need dbdata.rfs

You may have a corrupted /dbdata. If that's true, no matter how many new ROMs or firmwares you install, it won't help you.
This should take care of your problem:

Hi! Tks for your advice. I just read through the restocking steps on the teamovercome.net. But I've got a question. Is it compulsory to actually install the overcome kernel and rom?

I installed overcome kernel with many other rom before moving to redpill (because of bluetooth keyboard compatibility). It works great with most of rom 2.3.3 and 2.3.6 base. Don't hesitate to try the kernel with other rom.
Btw, did you try pushing new pit file through odin?

Hey i have a windows 8 computer and im wondering how i can root my dads captivate, i have a nexus 7 which is rooted but he wants his phone rooted andd im wondering is there away other than command codes, from what i know superoneclick wont work on windows 8 but idkk please help thanks
It works fine on win7, which isn't too different from win8 or vista. Have you seen any reports where it failed? It generally fails gracefully and doesn't do any harm.
Idkk apparently it needs framework 2.5 but windows 8 has 4.5

What ROM/version is he running? Superoneclick won't work on higher version (ICS/JB) if I remember correctly.
That being said, if you want to root a 2.1-2.2 version, you can simply flash Speedmod kernel through recovery. 2.3 (GB) would need Corn kernel with Odin 1.85

Superoneclick will work on older OS with GB.
But like I mentioned earlier, you can flash Corn kernel with Odin 1.85 to gain root on GB. Once it's flashed, boot into recovery, under advanced, you'll be able to root.
Ya but super one click doesn't work on windows 8

Hence when I said on ''older OS''. OS = Operating System = Windows in this case.
Flash Corn kernel and you'll get the root. Don't need superoneclick.

I guess you should start fresh... uninstall all the drivers. Redownload them from yagyagaire.blogspot.com, install in compatibility mode and then restart PC. Use Odin 4.38 for galaxy mini only and not any other version. Hope it helps...

Dude never try to use other Odin on mini. It will possibly brick your device. Are you putting the tass.ops file in Odin before connecting. There are many tutorials which guide you how to flash. Try yagyagaire.blogspot.com

Hi I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 GT-P7300 3G version which originally came with Honeycomb OS. About six months ago I rooted the phone using tutorials from the internet and the tab was working fine. Then about a month ago I flashed the ICS ROM using Odin (again using a tutorial from the net) The tab still works perfectly but I noticed that I no longer have root access.
Do I need to root the phone again and how do I do it?
Thanks in advance for the help

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
those are the instructions I used to root the tab originally. However as I stated earlier I lost root when I flashed the ICS ROM to the tab. Will this method work again on the ICS? Or is it only for the Honeycomb tabs?
Thanks
