Stock ROM with mOCkv1.6.12 kernel - Huawei Ideos X6

Has anyone tried any stock GB ROM with mOCkv1.6.12 kernel?
I've tried today wellcomm A99 Stock ROM with mOCkv kernel and I can confirm that OverClocking, UnderClocking and Call Recording works well without any problems
Link for the kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511521
was fedup with all the ROMS having InCallVolume bug.
The touch in ICS is not so smooth and also has ICV bug so went back today on WellCoMM Stock ROM which I was using before coming on Custom ROMs

Wow that's a good idea.. I thought that kernel was just for miui roms... Could you please send me the link for this... And can I use it with maclite ROM? What would be the process for installing this kernel. Also suggest the call recording app that can be used with this.
Sent from my FIH-FB0 using XDA

Didn't try with maclite and the process is that
1) Flash the stock rom through SUT
2) Change the recovery to CWM and flash superuser files
3) Reboot and do all the basic things, means let the phone run and boot up once fully
4) Go again to recovery and flash mOCkv kernel
I've seen that if you flash the kernel without the phone booting up atleast once then it doesn't boot
For call recording generally this is software http://goo.gl/BWWOH
Link added in the first post for the Kernel
Try and post the results here

Good find m8

Andro-ID V3.3-RC3

General discussion and reviews of users running on Andro-ID V3.3-RC3. I just tried it, but switched back to original MI 410 GB rom as the phone app on this rom sucks and GPU posts lower FPS. This also causes games such as GTA III to crash unexpectedly. TJ_Style must switch back to the original dialer and incase if he wishes to change, I suggest use a dailer/phone app which has a different all receiving screen. I really face a problem receiving calls with sweaty fingers. Guys please post your reviews here. Thanks.
Hi i tried to install the rc3 7z file via SUT 1.8.2 but it doesn't seem to recognise the 7z file that's available for download.. it keeps asking for an nb0 / xml file selection . do i need to change the extension or something before flashing ?
i just had a corrupted download the redownloaded 7z was extracting fine.
older backup did not work with this rom's recovery
guy's today i nearly braked by phone.
after trying this rom, when i try to flash backup made by napstar recovery then after installation when i try to reboot the phone, i m stucked at andro-id logo.
then i take battery out and boot into recovery again, then i try to update to napstar recovery. i flash the zip file and reboot the recovery. then i am also not able boot into recovery too.
then i flash stock 2.3 rom through SUT LR v1.8.2 and boot into download mode again replaced stock recovery.img with napstar's one in image folder. after that i booted into recovery and flashed my backup
thank's god my phone is safe now and running edowar great cm7.2
Hi Kallan_suz, you need to extract the .7z file using winrar. There is a file with an extension .nb0 in it. This is the file sut lr is asking for. If U need any more help post here. Its very easy yo flash though. Connect the fone and U are good to go.
Mithil
strange problem when i try to install this .nb0 it says some kind of error using sut
Dude use SUT LR 1.8.2, the other version 1.7 gives errors. Search on Google with this name and U shud find it.

But it works with my old BelkinG.
Anyone can help me?? Thanks!!
Althought I'm running on CM7 now
But I was use this ROM for 6weeks
This ROM has good performance n very stable
But 2 things which annoying me,,so annoying
1.Headset Volume too loud,,maybe kernel build problem,,I use headset volume control to minimize problem
2.If RAM usage too heavy,,it cause auto reboot(not sudden reboot)so you must using AKM/AMM or for best experience, use V6Supercharger script
Thats I feel of this ROM

I just installed this ROM last night. I don't find any significant difference between this and sharp ROM, with some added features. Everything works ok including FM radio. I did not test the hdmi feature.
Guys can someone tell me what is the difference between a stock ROM like Sharp and this Andro-ID V3.3-RC3, I find this very similar to rooted sharp ROM with some differences like, lock screen and bloatware removed. I am sure there must be some advantages and better features that I might be not aware of. Guys please enlighten me about the better features that I can use. I am on this ROM right now.
Thanks in advance...

Hi,
I have just installed this ROM. Everything seems to be working fine except GPS. The GPS is not locking. I tried rebooting several times. Whenever I tried to turn GPS on, it's just blinking but not locking. I tried for more than 15 minutes. Any fix for this?

First change rom to 2.3 then flash the appropriate kernel.
I don't think it really makes a difference, just that one is slightly less risky than the other.

Kernel then rom, if it's rom 1st then you MIGHT have to reflash the rom anyway

No need for reflash of rom in any circumstances... point is entering flash mode to flash correct kernel is much more doable and likelier to succeed than entering a kernel embedded recovery to flash a rom.
Hence rom first, then kernel.

Hmm... Who to trust?
I'm curently on nAa ICS kernel and his MiniCM9, and want to get back to Achotjan Semc Debrand Engine 2.3 with nAa 11 kernel
From my experience there is no difference at all because the kernel you wanna flash has a recovery and gives you the option to flash your rom. For example when I wanted to revert back to stock without using seus I flashed the rom first and then the kernel because if I did otherwise my device would be softbricked. I hope I made my self clear. The choice is up to you. But I like flashing the kernel first;-)
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
Ok, so I tried now with kernel first -> that doesn't work, now I'm going to check with rom first
you cant build a house without foundation! flashing the kernel first is only proper way to do this!
1.put 2.3 Rom in SD
2.flash a kernel
3.on 1st boot(at kernel logo)push back button rapidly to enter cwm
4.make a full wipe and install 2.3 rom
5.done

[ROM][Stock GB 2.3.7]Stock Apanda rom

Here's the stock Apanda rom Android GB 2.3.7. I couldn't know anything about this rom as it won't let me pass the lockscreen. Lockscreen was similar to the spice stock rom. Don't know if it is any different.
Mod : edit removed this link
I flashed it but seems like the touch screen is not compatible with Spice mi 410.
[Edit] Flash 0.35 kernel(sharp/tj) to make touchscreen work -> Thanks to Abenagiel.
This didn't seem to be any better than sharp rom.
Before flashing this rom be sure to backup your imei. Me and Demonskill had problems of unknown imei number when we flashed the rom and tried to revert back using cwm restore. My personal suggestion, before you do cwm restore make sure to flash tj's rc3. Find more info about imei backup using 5iromtoolbox take a look at post by http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28096182&postcount=3. Thanks to LibertyMonger
Steps to flash this rom:
(1) Go to download mode and Flash this rom via SUT.
(2) Go to download mode and place the recovery.img from tj_style for the new kernel 0.35
(3) Place this 0.35 sharp kernel on sd card https://www.dropbox.com/s/c2myh6s2kgb9wi6/sharp_Kernel.zip
(4) Flash the zip via recovery.
Mirrors for the rom, recovery and 0.35 kernel can be found in the post. Thanks to aloklike- MOD edit: removed link

very stable no fc no bugs for me with the kernel im using, camera & camcorder still zooms.. just use another launcher and get rid of all the bloatware/5keyboards
Guess I will have to try this, hope it is more stable than Sharp ROM. Sharp ROM has been rebooting and just had an awful freezeup while playing a basic game. Lost sensor functionality and had to pull battery. I have no luck with any ROM really wish we had one "go-to ROM" that is fully stable.
Actually this ROM is for K41 devices, not for FB0/1/3 devices. But since K41 devices is using similiar hardware with FB0, so this ROM is still compatible with our devices

If you mean notecore kernel.. It is safe to flash roms from there as it has MMC_CAP_ERASE disabled and you can perform all the necessary wipes in order to flash the new rom

i'm sorry cause in a cm10 based thread i asked if it is safe to flash cm10 with notecore kernel and someone said that it's a safe kernel..So what do they mean by that? just finding a way how properly flash cm9 or cm10 if i'm on kdv7.1 ics and my kernel is notecore v13.. sorry for the misunderstanding....
i meant notekernel by gavin..
Notekernel is safe means you can safely wipe, flash CWM, can take nadroid backup/Restore on ICS ROM only.
Here in your case this safety have no concern. Notecore is TW based ICS kernel. You can't flash CM based ROM on any ICS based kernel/ROM.
To flash CM based ROM, get GB ROM/Kernel + CWM and flash CM based ROM using that.
Yes. Flash using pc odin, then root and install cwm, before flashing cm9.

That is 100% wrong,
you CAN flash CM{9,10} from a safe kernel, be it SpeedMod, franco or NoteCore, exactly the same way you can flash a TW rom from a CM kernel, as long as it's a safe kernel you can do whatever you want.
Now, if you flash NoteCore *after* you flash CM, your device won't boot, however you can always use the recovery to install a CM kernel or just a TW rom.
You do NOT need to flash a whole GB ROM, you can just flash the kernel and boot into it's recovery.
Also, you do NOT need a GB kernel or Abyss to flash anything as long as you have a safe kernel, aka SpeedMod, NoteCore, CM9/10, Thor, etc.
Your statement about flashing a whole GB ROM just to flash CM is misleading and wrong.
I still appreciate all your useful posts.
@PierreTech, it is 100% safe to wipe and install CM from NoteCore.
Steps :
0. Do a nandroid backup or a titanium backup. (optional really)
1. Reboot into recovery.
2. Do a factory reset.
3. Install CM9/10/whatever.
4. If it doesn't include google apps, make sure you have the appropriate zip file and flash it too.

Hehe dr.ketan I gotta agree this guy... You can use notecore kernel to flash any ICS custom rom... Aosp or tw.. As when you flash the rom via cwm the rom will flash its own kernel... In the case of CM9/10 the proper kernel will be flashed along with the rom overwriting notecore/speedmod..
But I can not agree the tone he does make things clear.. He could just kindly say no dude this works this way or that...
I'm sure you know way more things than me or him but in this little thing they guy its right
Enviado desde mi GT-N7000 usando Tapatalk 2
I meant no disrespect to dr.ketan, without his great guide I wouldn't have been able to root my phone.
Oh, i really dont mind. It.is possible i may not knowing everything . My opinion was just based on Instruction on cm9 thread where it is mentioned that cm based rom shudn't flash on ics based rom, and that only thing i took into reference. I never have used any custom rom so may be not aware of fact, but this also be useful if such clearification to be made on installation instruction on op of cm rom thread, as really i m feeling awkward to go against developers instruction.
Just to edit :
@life.eq.null
You finds my statement to flash full rom misleading and wrong, but actually
I already used word 'GB ROM/Kernel' to flash.
That just means either rom or kernel. I never said you need to flash only ROM. I showing you one possibility, if someone on Non rootable GB ROM, then it will not be easy task to flash Full prerooted/rootable ROM to get CWM? in that case it is niether misleading nor 100% wrong.
Now here i am copying text written on CM9 thread installation instruction
Make sure to run CM9 or an AOSP-based ROM : FLASHING FROM STOCK ICS OR ROMS BASED ON STOCK ICS WILL RESULT IN A BRICK!
Click to collapse
Now if my statement is 100% wrong. totally misleading then you should head up to developers of CM9, to edit instruction in more clear way. b'coz here ROM itself said to avoid, no instruction about to use safe kernel mentioned.
I am agree your information may be recent and experience based, even i can say may be better and useful to users who are on safe kernel. But that doesn't make older instruction wrong and misleading, when till now everybody following this instruction which is instructed by developer only.
Regards.

I think they only talk about the Kernel, not about the whole rom. I flashed many times a cm9 rom on a stock ics rom, but always AFTER flashing through CWM a safe cm9 kernel, or abyssnote4.2.
from ics stock, usually I boot to recovery, apply the cleaning script Sybr, flash my safe kernel (do not reboot, it will work now), do the 3 wipes, then flash new rom cm9 based. then reboot.

Totally newbie

Hi, just found at my wife's huawei u9000 restarting sometimes.
Want to flash with newest stable rom, maybe after when i understand better this proces something modified/custom
Model: HUAWEI-U9000
Android 2.2.2
Radio PR232
Kernel: Apps_2.6.32.9-perf
When i try this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1274063 it gives me wrong PID ???!!!
My last flashing was with HTC diamond, and it wasn't so complicated like android. So just need help.
SUT is software updating tool that i found, can't just put nb0 file on sd card?
What is CWM ? Need root ? (what does it mean)
I know is different .32 and .35
Best if i get stable android 4.04 .35 Just give me ritght directions to doing it guys
CWM is an recovery used to install an custom rom
you want to get an custom rom right?
and also the .nbo file should be on the root of sd and installed from bootloader
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
So i should find CWM for my rom ?
Kernel: Apps_2.6.32.9-perf

Best if i cen get 4.0.4 with all working inside
find CM9 for your device and install via CWM for your phone

and starting with CM9 RC2...
Stop, but i think i should go from .32 to .35 first, so how can i make this now.
1. I have installed CWM recovery v5.0.2.7 for .32
For changing base kernel.. you need to flash andro-id rc3 via windows sultr file extention is .nb0.. and you also got CWM .35 base automaticaly included..
And than you can flash the other custom rom for .35 base kernel..
