This is a thread to see who people's favorite actors and/or actresses are. If you want, you can post what their best movie was.
To start it off, I'd say my favorite actor is Leonardo Dicaprio and my favorite actress would be natalie Portman. Leonardo's best movie would be inception and natalie's would probably be black swan (no strings attached wasn't bad either).
Also, I wanna keep this thread clean, don't insult someone for liking an actor or actress that you don't like.
If you forgot or don't know who natalie Portman is then see attached picture. I'm assuming you know who Leonardo Dicaprio is...

Oooh, extremely tough question. I can't choose one, so here are my favorites:
- Steve Martin
- Tom Hanks
- Bryan Cranston
- Ryan Gosling
- Morgan Freeman
- Leonardo DiCaprio
- Joseph Gordon-Levitt
- Christian Bale
- Jim Carrey
- Sam Rockwell
- Michael Fassbender
- Kevin Spacey
- Simon Pegg
- Nick Frost
- Emma Stone
- Paul Rudd
That's about everyone on the west coast!
There is only one answer: Kiefer Sutherland! I've sen like all of his movies and series he's played in, and I was never disappointed. But most of all, 24. Heel, it's the best series I've ever watched, I just can't imagine more perfect series. I love Kiefer, if I could, I'd be his boyfriend( I'm not even gay! Far from that! All respect though...).
There is more too, but I bet most of you haven't even heard of them... You know I pretty much hate American movies so...

Nobody but nobody, plays an offended middle aged angry man on the brink of emotional meltdown than Samuel L. Jackson. And for this attribute he's one of my favorite actors.

LOL.
The one who calls for no insults is the one who picked Leonardo Dicaprio! Hehehe.
Actor - there are so many - Robert de Niro, Al Pacino, Samuel L Jackson (as mentioned above), jay to many to list.
Actress - they're is one who springs to my mind instantly - Marilyn Monroe. Not because she had amazing acting skills, but because she was a natural, normal sized woman (not a skinny waif like so many are nowadays) and yet she was one of the sexiest women to ever grace this planet.
Robert Downey, Jr. is a comedian guys)) nice kidding all films
Jenny Agutter for my favorite actress (logans run,the eagle has landed) and Sean Connery for my favorite actor (bond, Highlander)

IMO I think it's gotta be Friday.
Plus this is way too funny:
"Weed is from the earth. God put this here for me and you. Take advantage man, take advantage. "
Cheech & Chong - Things Are Tough All Over.
"People say it was the drugs that killed Elvis man. But it wasn't the drugs, it's looking for them. Keeps you up all night!"

Another good one:
Half-Baked: Dave Chappelle

Half Baked is the quintessential stoner movie. Pineapple Express gets an honorable mention. Both are hilarious.

Indeed, How High is absolutely a must watch. Can't believe I forgot that one. Or, maybe I can believe it. Damn weed smoke.

I would have to agree with how high because it reminds of a very stupid story that did involve me being stoned.
I had just got my very first dvd player had never used or watched a dvd before this one. I borrowed How High from one of my buddys after a night of heavy smoking. I got home and put the film on, now some how without realising I had put on directors comentery, a feature I did not know existed. I proceded to watch the entire film feeling very dazed and confused about what was happening.

I've spent most of the day looking for something new to read, before realising i should have asked here first!
Fiction or non-fiction, the kind of writers i've enjoyed in the past include, but not limited to:
James Herbert
Michael Connelly
Mark Billingham
Ian Rankin
Bill Bryson
Joy Adamson
Michael Crichton
John Connolly
Terry Pratchett
Douglas Adams
Physics, Nature, Cosmology, History, WWI, WWII..
Should be enough to go on! Post up your recommendations or just list your favourites. Read something new recently? Rate it here.
Clive Barker is a great writer (in my opinion). He's normally thought of as a horror writer, mainly due to the success of Hellraiser (The Hellbound Heart) and Candyman (The Forbidden), but I prefer his fantasy stuff as I love the philosophical/cosmological edge he has.
I could not recommend these books any more as I truly believe they changed the way I look at the world...
Imajica
Weaveworld
The Great and Secret Show (1st in a trilogy - only 2 completed so far though)
Bad Science by Ben Goldacre is a really good read, if you haven' read it already.

'The Stand' Is my favourite book of all time! Would you be one of Mother Abigail's people's.. or a follower of Flagg? Better to reign in hell, or serve in Heaven?
I was always the Larry Holmes of the story. Deeply flawed but, essential to outcome. Stu Redmond was the obvious hero, but wasn't there to make the sacrifice at the end.

Zombie Fallout is like the Stand, but with zombies, a great family with plenty of sarcasm between them, and Henry; the bulldog with rectal eminations that Hans Blix should be investigating! Oh and pop tarts, somehow there's always pop tarts.
Best of all they're only a couple of quid each.

Almost everything on this website is electronic talk. Let's change is up.
Wild Animals. My favorite, the Alaskan/Timber/Canadian/North American/Mackenie Wolf. The largest of the living wolf species.
People rant and rave about never own a wild animal as a pet. Saying they will attack people and not be friendly etc. WRONG. If you raise any wild animal from a baby, it will have bonds and know how to interact with people. In my case, a timber wolf.
Countless times people have raised wild animals and they were called vicous wild creatures, yet, never attacked anyone, or was mean to anyone. Only social, friendly, and like a normal pet. It's happened with lions, bears, tigers, wolves, and various other dog species and breeds as well as felines.
What's everyone's take on this? Anyone want to go slaughter some idiot trolls?
Many people in my area (CT) and north of me breed wolf Hybrids.. and I hear more issues with huskies than hybrids. its all about the owner if you ask me. breeds should not be ostracized when a select few dogs are improperly trained.
It's almost like beliving racist steriotypes.. not all Muslims are terrorists, not all African Americans like fried chicken eventhough Idk who doesnt
Of course there's a lot of talk about phones/electronics...it's XDA!

After scouring the interweb in search of movie marathon suggestions i thought... why not start a thread at my favorite forum?
So heres my first list of great movie marathons. I will add to it later and suggest you do the same!
Marathons can come in all shapes and sizes (by genre, by actor, by director, by epoch, by subject matter, etc). These are in no particular order.
My suggestions:
- Bourne quadrilogy
- Aliens quadrilogy + Prometheus
- Indiana Jones quadrilogy
- Original Star Trek movies
- Mad Max trilogy
- Clint Eastwood American westerns (Hang 'em High, Joe Kidd, Two Mules For Sister Sara, Pale Rider, The Outlaw Josey Wales, High Plains Drifter, Unforgiven)
- Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns (A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)
More to come
Don't forget 007!
Never have gotten into the Bourne movies have to give 'em another go...
Hannibal movies.
Dirty Harry Series
Die Hard Series
Lethal Weapon Series
Beverly Hills Cop Series
Kill Bill Vol 1+2
LOTR Series
Evil Dead Series
Troma-thon
Austin Powers!
