I rooted my Incredible S today from Bell Mobility using revolutionary.io and su-3.0-efgh-signed.zip
It worked as I verified it was S-Off once everything was done. The phone booted fine and everything worked.
I then installed the stable cyanogen mod 7.1 for my model.
The phone then got stuck on the cyanogen boot logo so I rebooted and wiped the cache and formatted the sd card. I rebooted and it everything seemed to work until I tried to make a call. It went through but I'm not getting any sound, I can't hear the person I'm calling and they can't hear me.
I then wiped the cache again and installed virtuous_quattro_rc3_vivo.zip
It installed fine but gave me the same issue, no sound when making or receiving calls.
I've tried doing a factory reset several times but it just brings me back to Virtuous ROM and now won't even find a cellular signal.
I'm new to Android (as you can tell) and just want to get this thing back to stock.
Can anyone help??
Thanks!

Since your Bell IncS probably came Android Froyo, when you installed CM 7, which is an Android Gingerbread based ROM, you need to update your radio from a Froyo Version1 radio to a GB Version 2 radio.
Check out this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1129014&highlight=radio
I would try using this one:

I recently updated my phone from 4.1 CM to 4.1.9 CM, and it was extreamly laggy so i just went to back to the old 4.04 CM which was fastest for me.
Everything is working fine except i can't get calls, i can call other people but they can't call me i could also get texts too.
When i call my phone, i just get a voicemail
Help please!
Okay, i took some risk and tried to fix it myself because noone would reply or help me.
Flashed the Android 1.6 Recovery Image (http://developer.htc.com/adp.html#s3) thinking that it was the problem that i can't get calls...so i flashed it and rebooted, it wouldn't get pass the G1 logo so i wiped and it rebooted in to android 1.6 firmware, i have no root and wifi doesn't even work so the market doesn't work for me. I tried going to back to the recovery menu...and i find out that its the default recovery menu with the exclamation point, great...I tried updating to CM but everytime i do i get "update aborted"
adb shell still work for me though...so i installed Recovery Flasher in hopes that i will give Cyanogen Recovery 1.4, but it doesn't work...i press the backup recovery image button and i get "backup FAILED." and when i press flash cyanogen recovery 1.4 i get "flash FAILED."
Anyone on this forum that can help..please do.
Thank you.
well, one choice would be to put the rc2 or 7 depending on where in the world you are after extracting the dreaimg.nbh inside on the main folder of your sdcard and then enter the bootloader by holding camera and power and then root again on stock android

yup you can confirm you still have root by creating an adb shell session

My old G1 had issues like this at one point - I flashed RC29 and re-rooted the phone and everything worked fine afterwards, then you should be able to start over and install whatever recovery image and firmware you like.
I'm posting here because I don't know what else to do, my phone freezes using any froyo rom. It happens randomly and sometimes will not happen until I reboot the phone, but it makes my phone pretty much unusable. I've tried the leaked froyo rom, BB, CM 6 1&2 and countless others. I've tried wiping data / cache and formating the SD card (worked until i put my music back on), and I'm about to just try stock 2.2 and exchange it for a new one if it wont work.
Anyone else have this problem that could help me?
One thing I didn't see you do...
Have you at all root your phone to install the desired froyo rom for your phone?
Yes I am rooted, I'm currently on CM 5.0.8 and very happy but I would really like to get froyo working.
Alright. This is what I've done to get Froyo working on my Droid: I rooted my phone, downloaded BB v4 and changed the name of the file to update, installed Rom Manager on my phone(then found out I can download the roms from here as well), reboot into recovery through rom manager, wiped data & cache, selected install zip, then selected reboot phone. It took a bit to register but it converted over with BB v4.
I think I've found my problem
droidforums.net/forum/tech-issues-bug-reports-suggestions/67526-music-sd-card-causes-bb-4-freeze.html
this sounds like my exact problem, I'm going to look through my library and see if there is a corrupt file then try again
Hopefully that is the source of the issue and that'll be solved quickly. Good luck to ya
My Alltel heroc randomly soft resets itself. It's done this while unrooted and on the stock 2.1 ROM, and most recently again after I rooted and flashed CM7 on it.
The only change I can think of causing this behavior is that I installed the CWM Tether app on it, but I find it difficult to blame the app for this behavior.
I've perused other threads, but none of them seem to offer any help or solutions. What should I do? Thanks in advance.
Update!
The phone was originally S-on, this did not seem to affect flashing CM7 or anything though. I got the phone S-off, then changed recoveries to CWM from darthstar recovery. I had seen that CM 7.2 had been updated to RC3 for the heroc, so I downloaded it, wiped everything, and flashed it. I also formatted the SD card before and after the flash. I hope this will take care of it for good.
hopefully your issues are gone for good, but if they come back and you figure out what the deal was please let us know
I have been playing with AOSP and Sense based ROMs on my HTC One and now hit a snag. I tried to flash Instantcoin 7.0.3 and got caught in a boot loop. I had flashed it using TWRP 2.5.0.0 and since it didn't work, I went back and reflashed 2.6.6.3 and restored my Anrdroid Revolution 40.3 (which had been working flawlessly before the Instatntcoin flash). The restore went off without a hitch but I noticed that I couldn't connect to AT&T LTE and had no network service. Tried Viper ROM, nada. I finally restored the original AT&T stock ROM that I had saved, and no dice. The only ROM I can get to work now is CM 10.2 and AOKP.
So since the issues seem to be with sense based ROMs, is it an issue with the radio? I am running .13 when I checked the bootloader.
Anyone else have this sort of issue? I have tried to research it and have not uncovered any info, so any ideas?
Hello, I have flashed the stock rooted kit kat rom on my phone with sense 6.0. Everything was working perfectly until it suddenly rebooted. I thought it wasn't a big deal, but then it rebooted again after about 2 minutes. Now it keeps going on like this and I don't know what to do, I deleted my backup rom because everything seemed to work as it should. Is there any way to fix this??? I have tried rebooting it when it was still on but no luck!
What radio are you on? You may have to just RUU back to stock and then re-root. Make sure that your radio is up to date.

Try updating SuperSU, by flashing this zip in TWRP.
