You are super bricked if it is hanging on factoryfs.img. Why did you wipe in stock ICS? You NEED to read! I'm sorry. Go to Samsung service center or send your phone off to get the motherboard replaced.

Yours looks like a typical case of superbrick where some blocks in a certain partition in the internal memory were damaged by wiping under buggy ICS kernel.
If you have warranty covered then go to get help from SS service. If you are out of warranty the repartition solution described in the thread below can give you a way out.

Whooow really...? **** i thought it was just a soft bricked..
Anyway can i fixed this myself..?
I wipe because i wanna flash a fresh new rom.. It's a normal thing on SGS,SGS2 or even SGS3 right?
Oh.. Please... This is not my phone.. I just wanna help my friend to get a custom rom..

If you flash paranoid you must be in gb first not on ics.
All you can do is claim the waranty. Erase all the evidence, the yellow tringle and binary counter. Im sorry i know your situation your in.

Man u have bricked your SGN, Actually you have corrupted emmc area on your SGN,
You can easily Recover your Note by flashing it with different pit files, but you will loose some space on emmc, it depends on which pit file works for you, higher the pit file number less space you loose,
I have attached the pit files, use it carefully, as there are pits for both 16gb and 32gb so use it accordingly depending on your note ver.
One more thing....Your Warranty will be void
So if you have warrany left...its better to replace the mother board
USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK

guys thanks for your answers..im done!!
i found this solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886
man..after 2 days..i just thinkin to go to samsung service center tomorrow
im sooo happy..!!
hope this will help others too...!ALWAYS READ 1ST! i flashed the +pits-patched-standard.zip
Here are some cleaner instructions for unexperienced users:
If you do this for the first time, then you should use
Q1_*_16GB-patched.pit or Q1_*_32GB-patched.pit from the pits*patched-standard.zip.
according to your memory size (you bought a 16GB or a 32GB model, the number can be found on the back of the sales packaging, top left corner).
After flashing the PIT you have three empty partitions: system, data and internal SD.
So you have to put something senseful on it .
Otherwise it does in nearly no user noticeable way differ from a stock phone.
You just have a smaller internal SD.
Note, there are multiple ways to reinstall the phone.
The first is probably the most simplest (but note, this is from my memory, I use CyanogenMod-like ROMs all the time):
* Flash a known good ROM via Odin (especially not one of the faulty ICS ROMs)
* reboot into recovery (just hold Vol-Up + Home + Power until you arrive there)
* wipe cache
* wipe data
* format internal SD (first remove the external SD, to be sure you are handling the internal SD)

Doesn't switch on after flashing HELP NEEDED

Hi,
my girlfriend just came back from China with a P1000 from her friend. As the whole device was running on chinese language and for some strange reason it was not possible to enter System Setting to change the language, I decided to flash her the latest firmware and just make a fresh start. (i'm a flash veteran on my SGS since 2 years, so I know how to use Odin)
I downloaded the P1000XWJQ8 from Sammobile, fired up Odin and flashed the new ROM with repartition enabled.
The procedure went through without errors:

<ID:0/003> Added!!
At the end of it the device didn't auto-boot as expected, it just stayed there with a black screen!!!!!!
Disconnecting and reconnecting it triggers in Odin the REMOVED and the ADDED lines but nothing happens.
I cannot switch on, cannot go into download nor recovery, the device just seems to stay dead :-(
My next idea was trying to pull the battery but apparently the battery is glued to the casing, so before I do more damage, I better start asking here.
Hope someone can help, my girlfriend will kill me if I can't repair this damn thing...
EDIT: after having closed Odin on the PC I tried to connect the device again and it started to play the startup song and Win7 started to install the new drivers from the new firmware. 7 out of 9 found drivers installed correctly, 2 instead failed.
But nothing changed to the vegetarian state of the P1000
EDIT 2: now, after 12 hours wait, the device doesn't do anything anymore when I connect it to the PC, no USB connect, no sign of adding it in Odin. It seems like the charging mechanism doesn't work anymore either. The deivce appears totally dead.
Did you see my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769144? This problem is totally the same as mine.
Is yours rooted? Coz it says here http://www.teamovercome.net/p1000/?page_id=17 that :
[REQUIRED FOR FROYO-BASED TABS ONLY:] Your Tab must be rooted. (Please look for SuperOneClick root method as it’s usually the safe bet! But for more information on rooting, please refer here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=812367)

soft bricked?

Hi all,
so i read the PSA and all the other info about bricking/ what not to load etc and took the plunge to update my kernel
Using odin, i flash the safe kernel DAFUQ_N7000_05272012.tar and everything went well and rebooted. Well this is where i'm stuck now
Reboots, i get the samsung screen with the yellow triangle now but that's it. nothing after that.
Read abit more and grab this kernel cm9_safe_kernel.tar and flash this. same thing.
I cannot get into recovery but i can get into download mode.
I read a few things about looking at repartitioning but as i didn't do a full wipe nor did a flash any roms, i don't think that is my issue.
Any suggestions?
flash a full GB firmware with ODIN and you should be fine
Once done, Root and use Triangle Away app to reset counter and remove the triangle

Do this....
thanks for the replies but wee confused...
isnt' DAFUQ_N7000_05272012.tar a GB firmware?
also isn't the CM9_safe_kernel.tar a GM firmware to use?
might you be able to suggest a firmware?
without going into much detail, what's the differences between the DAFUQ, CM9_safe firmware vs the GB firmware?
take care

Stuck at Samsung logo is normal if you flash GB rom over ICS, just go to recovery (vol up+ home + power) and perform wipe and reboot.
As you are on Gingerbread now, it is safe to perform full wipe in stock recovery.

i did this! Nandroid Backup and Restore:
You are able to do Full Nandroid Backups on CF-Root Kernel. But you have to restore them using Abyss Kernel 4.2!!!
If you try to Restore with CF-Root, your Restore will hang up and you will at least lose Root

Note Hung On Samsung Logo Screen - Stock ROM

I have a Galaxy Note which has never been rooted and has the factory Gingerbread ROM running.
This morning it worked fine, then a couple of hours later the screen was black and I couldn't turn it on. So I removed and replaced the battery and turned the phone on. Ever since then, and no matter how many times I turn it off/on, it just freezes on the Samsung logo screen with the logo fading in/out.
What's the solution and what has gone wrong with it?

I would suggest booting into recovery and doing a factory reset. If that doesn't work use Odin to reflash the stock firmware, and see if that fixes things.

My phone is still in warranty. Am I right in thinking that using ODIN will void the warranty?
How do you boot into recovery on a factory ROM?
instal a stok rom with odin

Get a stock rom from dr. Ketan's thread in the original development. Press volume down+power+home buttons to boot into download mode then you can flash the rom you got using pc odin. It won't affect the warranty as it will not raise the counter and because you are flashing a stock rom

What could have caused this crash? My only concern is that it could be a hardware memory fault, hence it would be worth sending it out to Samsung just in case.
Just flashed a stock UK ROM via PC Odin.
It showed Pass with the following Messages:

Now that you have flashed the stock image, boot into recovery and try a factory reset again.
A factory reset fixed it! Why did I have to do a factory reset AFTER installing the new ROM? Why didn't the new ROM installation work on its own? Looking for a technical answer here .
May be the battery went dead because of which the some data got corrupted.
If I am not wrong it was stuck at the Samsung glowing logo?
data corruption causes boot loops and a factory reset will solve it
the rom you installed was a non wipe rom which does not do a wipe and just upgrades the os to stock so the corrupted data still remained. thus required a reset
Thank you for the explanation .

[Q] What happened to my Note? Revival ideas?

Hi guys, I am desperate and in need of help ...apparently my Note decided to die on me and I think I just made it worse. Please whoever has any suggestions please help me.
For a good while now I had been running Paranoid Android without any problems whatsoever until last friday my phone woke up stuck on the start screen (the one that says GT-N7000). Please note that NO changes were made to the system nor were any new apps installed. Rebooting the phone resulted in the same situation.
After noticing that it was stuck, I figured I would go into recovery and try clearing cache as that sometimes will help, to my surprise the phone was unable to go into recovery, it would just present a blank screen.
I could still go into download mode, so I thought I would go back to stock through ODIN eand re-root and re-flash, when i tried this ODIN hanged at this point:

<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> N7000XXLA4_N7000OXALA4_N7000XXLA4_HOME.tar.md5 is valid.

I tried several GB and two JB stock ROMs, both ended up with the same results. I also tried flashing this through ODIN 1.83, 1.85 and 3.07 with no luck.
Then I got worried that my phone had somehow gotten bricked (overnight with no change which I know does not make sense), and I found forest1971 thread on how to revive a bricked Note. Following this thread I tried all PIT files from 2.0 up to 2.5 and ODIN hanged at this point:
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/003> Initialzation..
<ID:0/003> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/003> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
After this I got really desperate, so I went ahead and tried the manual method, and tried flashing Speedmod kernel in order to be able to access recovery again as is instructed in the thread. ODIN hangs during this process as well, thus not installing the Kernel but it did give me the yellow triangle and increased my binary flash count. I had managed to avoid this throughout my whole 10 months of owning the phone by doing things correctly, and now I cannot send it to Samsung even though I would still have 2 months worth of warranty eliminating the possibility of sending it back to them.
So in summary I can't access recovery, I can't flash a stock ROM, I can't flash kernels and now I have the yellow triangle. Please also note that I have tried with several USB cables, updated drivers and several PCs.
What can I do about this? Is there still some sort of hope for my phone? Can the triangle be somehow removed without access to recovery or the ROM? and finally how on earth could my phone do this from one night to the other without me installing or doing anything to it?
Thank you very much, any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
