Battery Mod Tool working on Gtab 2 10.1 - Galaxy Tab 2 Themes and Apps

Hey!
I found this thread in the Eee Pad Transformer forums and decided to give it try on my GTab 2 10.1 (GT-P5100) and it works flawlessly!

works perfect this mod in my GT2, thanks for the info!

it does no work on my tab 2. It say "installation abort" when i flash that.

Hey!
If flashing doesn't work, just copy the SystemUI.apk file located in the output folder of your PC into your Tab's system/app folder... That should do the trick!

i am assuming you can, and they are in you download directory in the files you just need something to handle it.. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.agilesoftresource&feature=search_resul this is market link to AndroZip File Manager no preference my self, just one of the first that came up on search!!!

Nope the normal one... Ok that's strange that you can't handle zipped or rar'd files. What version are you on as in baseband?

Search the market for a app called "download all files"
It will allow you to download any file type from your browser. Just instal it, then download like you regularly would inside your browser.

what concerns me is that you should not have this issue in the first place???? But then there could be something not right with the flash of your rom that causes this... would suggest going back into the dev thread where you got the rom and search if there is any other work around as well, if not record this as a bug in there

No need to spam this thread anymore. I know what option there are to view it. But for the creator it should also be freakin' easy to create a .gif or whatever.
I don't grab it cuz I don't know what Im grabbing. And maybe other think like me, and RobYyY has less people using this (which might be an awesome bootanimation....)

Simply download the file and extract it, open the folder and open first file (using Windows and Fax Viewer). From there, you can just press and hold the right button to see the animation.

this is not a flashable zip archieve.. you must copy bootanimation.zip in system/media

[Bootanimation] Google Gears

One of my favorite boot animations. Resized for our tablets.
Copy to /system/media and reboot. You need root access to copy this. Most people use root explorer for this. This is only for aosp roms such as AOKP / CM10 and the like. Not for stock roms!!

You can backup the old boot animation on the sd card, or rename it to something that dont mess up with the new one.
@OT Could you provide more bootanimations? And maybe for the 7 inch and the 10 inch one?

Yes just rename it to bootanimation.old or copy it to a safe place (like the external SD card)

Yes I could resize it and make it bigger, smaller etc I will work on it tonight and update the post. I had a buddy here who wanted it so I thought I'd share it with everyone.

I have been working on this a bit and have failed at it miserably.
I'm trying to get this animation onto my tab:

Ideally I'd like to get it running in "portrait" mode, which I think means all the images need to be rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
I haven't managed to succeed, only make my tab not display anything on screen anymore in landscape mode, and display only like 1/3rd of the screen in portrait mode.
That was fun to fix LOL.
Anyways, any suggestions? It seems like this should be easy!

I was wanting to do the same with the Street Fighter boot animations http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1570007 I might give it a shot and see what happens.

There are 2 files in the ZIP. Must I copy all the files over?
could it work in 10 inch tab2 p-5100 or it is only for 7 inch tab2?

Just copy the zip. Don't unzip it.

Did not work with my p5100...
Using Root Explorer cannot transfer the file to the appropriate folder. Error msg something like - it's Read Only. Even trying to change it to RW, also failed.
Any help?

Are you rooted? I'm not sure how it works on stock. You on cm?
Just klick on the where it says ''mount R/W'' then paste. I'm not sure, but i think it must be on r/o isn't it?

Yes, I'm rooted and using CWM as well.
not working on stock rom i cant even find my bootanimation.zip
Try root browser lite and download the required download when it first time launches
and try to update binaries of superuser
Also you could try to install supersu and update binaries of it

Will not work in stock rom for Aosp roms as cm9 and cm10
In stock the extension of animation is as i think dmg not zip will not work

I downloaded the attachment and I copied in system/media. It didn't work. So I copied in another folder (local/media) and it didn't work too.

I think it does not work in stock roms, i think stock roms use boot animation with different extension, i think it is dmg, i think you need to have cm9 or cm10 to be able to run this boot animation

You don´t need to port sony walkman you can just copy the apk to system/app and set permision to rw-r-r then reboot device.

A request regarding this weather widget port
If it would be possible, please provide a port for this weather widget that will not require a rooted phone. I'm unfortunately very hesitant to root my phone with the red glaring bold letters mentioning the risk/s of doing so. I admit that I'm an absolute noob when it comes to rooting. I have a p5100 with 4.0.4 (which was installed through Odin). Thank you.

I've rooted my phone (I realized it was fairly easy and I'm relieved that nothing wrong happened), and I've pushed the apks to system/apps.
Guys, i can't seem to install this..
Im runnig a rooted p5110 with cm9 and i downloaded the apks, moved them to system/app but cannot install.
Any ideas what i am doing wrong? Cheers
