I'm not sure if anyone has found this out yet.
factory cable detected.... bane of my existence every time I flash with LGNPST.... but playing around with it I discovered the easy way to fix this without reflashing down to v4 and back up to v9. Under the data dropdown, go to phone settings, click 'read' in the bottom left hand corner. Then go to the 'data' option on the left hand side menu, and then scroll down the right hand side menu to cable dun. click 'disable', a dropdown should appear with two options. select 'enable' and you're good to go.
Using google I got all kinds of other methods, but this is by far the easiest.
Sorry if this post is redundant if someone else discovered this first.

Hi
I don't know if anyone has experienced this or has a fix for it.
I picked up my Tytn II last week and I must say it's a cracking piece of kit. I seem to be experiencing a problem though.
If I say for example make a voice call and then hang up. I find that the word "phone" replaces the start menu in the top left hand corner of the screen. This wont default back to start and effectively makes the whole top row of icons inoperable. Ie battery status volume control etc. I have found this problem when using other apps, ie calendar, so it's not specific to just making voice calls.
The only way to get the top row of icons working again is to do a soft reset
All icons not on the top row seem to work ok (apart from keylock)
Any ideas ??

Dont soft reset... just hit the power button to go into standby, then hit it again and the device will work again.
Hey presto it worked. Thanks for that. It's a bit annoying having to do that though.

Its not a fix... its just a workaround.
When you end calls. Try first pressing the end call button, then the ok button.
I tried to go through the steps of clearing the preloaded AT&T software on my 6.1 Tilt, but upon soft-resetting after the message that you had 3 seconds before it installed, it just restarted with the same screen and installed again. Can someone help figure out how to clear the software like you could with 6.0.
thanks in advance, walter
Our wonderful chefs around here make bloat free ROMs. NotATreoFan made a very nice AT&T based ROM with the Junk cleaned out.
Thanks
Don't hit the red power button on the side of your tilt. Adjacent to your charging port (upper right hand corner) on the bottom of your tilt u should see a smal hole. Stick ur stylus in there (ewww that sounded gross) during the "3 secs" to remove all the bloat.
I didn't hit the power button. I used the soft-reset method (which is the small hole on the bottom). 6.1 just appears to have blocked out this feature. Is flashing a new rom the only option now?
I got it to clear the bloatware by "Soft reset RIGHT after ROM Flash or Hard Reset. Waiting for the Customization screen to start will not “Beat the Bloat!". thanks to tiltmobility.
Be sure to soft reset immediately after the today screen appears, and before the customization window starts.
Ahhh, thanks so much strikeone. Worked perfectly.
yep...no problem.
Hi everyone,
My HTC Touch Diamond phone appears to be stuck on the TouchFlo screen. I can use the hard-buttons to move around the screen and do the essentials, but I somehow cannot use the touch-screen at all.
Strange thing however is that while I am in certain screens (ie: Call History), whenever I touch the screen, I can see the OK button in the top-right corner show up and go away whenever I remove my finger from the screen.
I've attempted several soft resets and removed the battery for a few minutes, yet still at no avail. Anyone have a clue what could be wrong? I am desperate and don't want to do a hard-reset and lose all my data and settings.
Looking forward to your suggestions!
nobody any ideas?
My personal thought on it is that you probably just need to recalibrate your screen... but I can not figure out a way to get to that option without using the screen. If there was a start button it would be easy, but since we have a sleek phone it doesn't have one.

Click to collapse
It may or may not help but a shortcut to align screen is to hold Enter/Action and press Volume Up.
I only know this because my friend is looking for a way to disable this combo for gaming purposes.
The symptoms sounds like you have installed SensorLock.
When i have it activated i can press the hardbuttons and the upper right corner of the screen.
Try flip your phone and see if it unlocks?
All great suggestions guys! Especially the Enter + VolUp was the one I wouldve wanted to try! In the end, I decided to go to HTC Support and they checked the device. Turned out it was a hardware problem: the connector was loose! After pressing a bit around the lower edge of the screen, the connector worked properly again!
Thanks again for the help guys!
I got my TD2 yesterday and have been playing extensively with it (and like it), but don't see the point of the power button appearing to turn off the display when pressed and then back on again when pressed again...I kept turning off the display by accident and hope there may be a way to disable this "feature" ?
Also, by unticking some option somewhere, the little "Quick Launch" thingy in the top right next to the speaker icon has gone and I don't know how to get it back...!
This is my first touchscreen, so I'm finding it quick difficult to scroll menus without actually selecting something whilst moving my finger/stylus up and down.
The powerbutton is meant to do this. The screen goes into sleep mode after a period of time and you click it to turn it on again. You will get used to it
The quick launch thingy? To the right of the speaker? The only thing to the right is the task manager. Not sure you can turn that off.
You will get used to the touchscreen and things with the phone will improve once the guys on here get to grips and customise it.

Go to settings and click on the left softbutton to see more settings.
Then click the taskmanager settings and go to the third tab.
Click the option to enable the quickmenu there.
Ok, so im new to this, don't go hard on me, but my touchflo 3d thing is messed up.
I tried installing themes earlier and one was fine, then i installed another and after rebooting i noticed a small white square in the top left corner, under the start button. How do i fix that?
Other thing is a added a different clock, because the old one that slid up when placing the finger on the clock and sliding up, got removed when i added the theme.
Now i have this old style clock and I've deleted all themes and everything and soft/hard restarted it, but it continues to have the theme and that old clock.
Can anyone help? i'd VERY much appreciate it.
Is there a way to restore the touchflo 3d, like delete it and re-download it?
i have the sprint phone, btw.
The Htc touch pro (Raphael one)
I guess i piled too many themes on one, because i still see part of one theme and another.
HELP???
When you say you have soft/hard resetted it... what do you mean with hard reset?
If your way of hard resetting it, is turning off the phone and then restarting it... well that is also considered a soft reset.
Hard reset "should" get your device in a state when you first bought it.
Noone has replied so i will tell you how to hard reset if you don't know it. If you do.. well just skip this
first off! Backup your stuff and contacts. hard reset will wipe your phone. Storage cards are safe.
so use pim backup or sump or sync with outlook.
on your raphael: Hold down the volume down button on the side, also hold down the "ok" button. You know the round button in the lower center of your phone. While holding down these 2 buttons use your stylus to reset the device on the bottom near the micro usb. Keep holding down the 2 buttons untill you get a screen with further instructions.. you may let go now. it will ask do you want to go back to default settings. this will wipe your device. and press the button to apply it. volume up or down i believe.
good luck
