Okay, so last day I was trying to get the CM9 on my galaxy note. Got the CWM and the CM9 Flashable Zip. Installed the cm9 through CWM, but after boot, phone gets hanged when I do anything. I don't want to lose my phone! Tell me the solution please!

Did you wiped cache/dalvik/data after flashing it in recovery ?
Of course, I did. the phone boots alright, but hangs up right away in few seconds, after notification area says "Preparing SDCARD".

boot is okay, I reach the home screen ( lock screen sometimes ) but Doing anything just hangs it itself. I'm now trying to roll back to stock via odin. Reflashed the cm9 multiple times with absolutely no use. Complimentarily, I wiped data / cache / dalvik /batt. stats everytime.
I hope u have flashed gapps also during the installation.and if it is not working and it is a pain now so go back to pre-rooted gb rom from the signature of sahil sir.then re-flash cm9.

Did Samsung take the phone, and replace the mobo no questions asked? Or did they charge you for the mobo?
Did you try to flash from stock ICS?

I am looking at a phone for a friend of mine. It's a original Droid. It will not boot to the OS, it just sits at the M logo for hours and hours. I have got it into recovery mode by powering on and holding up on the D pad. I then used RSD Lite to reflash VZW_A855_FRG01B_QSC6085BP_C_01.43.01P_SW_UPDATE_01 to it. It says it finished and passed, but still sits at the M logo. Any ideas?
::tap tap tap:: Is this thing on?
Guess not. Thanks for all the help. Sure am glad I own an iPhone.
can you try with another custom rom?
So i hope someone responds to this.
My og Droid is stuck at the M logo. i can get into bootloader and Clockworkmod revoery mode, but i cant actually boot into the OS.
So when i first got it a few days ago, i did a factory reset. I then rooted it, which worked, and then installed rom manager. i made a back up twice to be sure, then tried to flash to Kfazz's Jellybean ROM. It said success, but after that i was in a boot loop. I read on how to fix this, but adb wont find the device until it is in the OS, so i popped out the battery and restored from my backup, but now it just stays at the M logo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
The M logo is the bootloader's logo. Since the droid has unlocked bootloader it is possible that something messed it up.
Can you restore the stock bootloader?

I actuLly used CM9, but i cant get the touch screen or touch buttons to work. I may just have to use a different build, or roll back to an ealier cm build.
I may have waded in over my head and need help back. Curious to checkout the jellybean AOKP build. I flashed my Tab 8.9 LTE (SGH-i957) via odin. Now I'm stranded with it. Stupidly I didn't have Clockwork Mod recovery BEFORE doing this so I have no backup of my Honeycomb.
My i957 appears to be in a boot loop replaying the Android animation. I can boot from into Jelly Bean via CWM 5.5.0.4 recovery which I installed AFTER my initial JB flash.
I've tried reflashing the [ROM][3.2]Contingency ROM 3.2 numerous times as per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658243
Odin goes through the motions as expected, but it never boots past the Android animation. When shut off the green battery animation appears when plugged in as normal. I can boot into recovery and download modes of course.
I'm stuck on how to proceed. Is ClockworkMod Recovery complicating this? Can I switch to a stock recovery mode?
I've been picking through the forums. Trying this and that, but no success.
I'm using Windows XP. Kies will recognize a device but won't connect. Odin seems to be fine. I've used it before to root it and my previous Tab.

Thanks for the advice. Yes in the PDA slot without a doubt. I drained the battery - even pressing the power button until it stopped vibrating.
After a brief partial charge. I rebooted. Still no luck.

I flashed TWRP. Still the loop in normal boot. In recovery boot TWRP was successful flashed over CWM recovery. I tried flashing the stock ROM again. No change. I guess I asked for it. I'd be the first to say I'm in over my head, but I've never had issues before- all the way to my fun times with Maemo and my Nokia N800 & N810.
Is there another step for me? I suppose I could try on another PC, but Odin appears to working normally. I was able to successfully flash TWRP so I'm thinking that not going to help.

What should I do else should I do from here to proceed? Reset? Wipe partition?

It has SGH-i957 on the rear, on the download mode screen and that how its always recognized by Google and by Kies (when it works). Its a U.S. AT&T LTE device. I've tried flashing again the ROM from Sammobile, but it still loops. Sigh.
It's BACK! A testament to never giving up and help from orlandoxpolice! In 3e I reset it and it rebooted.Honeycomb never looked so good.
Glad you fixed it. I was confused because odin to stock usually fixes everything.
Cheers

Hi all,
I just upgraded to a JB rom (RocketROM) from a rooted official ICS rom.
As instructed, when I wiped the phone using stock recovery, the device was rebooted.
I first thought, the software commanded the reboot.
Then, I loaded CWM.zip and tried to installed the rom.
The installation exited without any error.
Again, I thought, everything was OK and rebooted the device.
But, the phone stopped at "Samsung Galaxy Note" screen.
As I tried again, the stock recovery was overwritten with touch-CWM.
Now, I can't use the phone and can't go back to Samsung rom using odin.
Please help. T.T
I will upload a video of the problem shot with another phone.
Video:
cant u put the phone in download mode?
where did u get CWM.zip?
If you are able to get in download mode, then try to flash pre rooted gb rom from dr.ketan thread.
Or if you have a nandroid backup of your ex rom,and if you Can get in recovery mode, then restore it.
I would prefer first method.

Are you already flashed Stock Rom with Odin? If you can't, seems you have an eMMC brick (aka SuperBrick). The only way to fix it is by the way of Repartition or leave your phone to your Warranty. Sorry man, first of all before flash a Rom you NEED TO READ everything about it. You CANT flash a rom with temporal CWM (CWM.zip) because you will have a brick, and when you do a WIPE/FACTORY RESET you need a Safe Kernel (SpeedMod, Hydracore etc) and not the stock kernel because they are infected with eMMC erase script.... Sorry my bad english. Greetings from Argentina!
If you did a wipe from stock ics kernel, then you might have bricked your phone
Try flashing a gb rom,if the process gets failed, then its a brick
Thank you all for your feedbacks and advices.
I found out PIT file tricks and finally get my phone loaded with a stock rom with custom kernel.
So, I got one step further now.
But, the phone stopped at "Samsung" logo.
Appreciate any advice..

Noted, Raj... :crying:
If I rooted and upgraded to a custom kernel, the kernel assigned me a fake IMEI and I could make phone calls.
With stock kernel, I couldn't connect to mobile network at all.
So, I think, the official repair is the only option now.
Luckily, it still have the warranty.
I will remove all modifications and restore original rom and recovery.
Then, will try to repair it at service center.
I've done a number of custom ROM updates on HTC HD2 and SIII.
These devices never gave me any problem.
Good thing is I've learnt a lot... ha ha...

Last week, I went to Samsung service center.
I just told them after software update, the phone lost the network connection.
As my phone was still under warranty, they didn't charge me any.
Yesterday, they sent back the phone and it's full functional now.
I think, they changed the motherboard as the storage is back to 11 GB.

If your flashing the partial firmware using odin.. then you need to boot directly into recovery and flash the Rom.

Please post a screen shot of "about device" so i can see your baseband..

I'm not really sure what you mean, I'm still relatively new at this.
It wouldn't boot at all, but I managed to install twrp through the recovery. Afterwards I put the rooted stock ROM on the SD card and did a wipe/install from recovery and now it's stuck doing the loop and vibrating twice each time.
I can't figure out how to find that information when I only have access to recovery, it's the Bell version in Canada, SM-N910W8. I had it up to date and just rooted it last night.
Thanks for your quick reply!
Edit: I did change a couple of things with build.prop.editor before it happened, that's what I'm thinking screwed this.

So you have twrp installed..
Ok. Do you have a nandroid back on your ext sd by chance?? If so reboot recovery under advanced wipe sys/data/dal/cache.. then navigate to your ext were your restore is and flash it..
If not follow these steps.[emoji16]
Step #1 download either a stock rom of your choice or something like This
And a copy of the bioshock kernal. If you decide to use the rom i provided the link for. Check the md5 sums from the download source after you download the files to make sure they match. Download them onto your ext sd card.
Step#2 reboot recovery go to wipe advanced and check/ system/data/dalvik/cache/and internal.. ×3
Then factory data reset x3
Then nav to ext sd and flash the rom.
Note: if you flash the link i provided you have to flash the kernel in the same session... READ THE OP..
Note: #2 when you wipe internal your internal sd card will be wiped so if you need to save pics or whatever do so prior..
You can try skipping the internal once but if it loops then you prob should wipe it like i said and flash kernal such as bioshock.
Ok thats it for now please follow and read what i wrote carefully..
And for now stay away from COD6 for now.. unless you understand the procedure... its all about the kernal flashing in the same session before you boot up..[emoji41]
One last thing.. its dangerous to be
"NEW AT THIS" and just start flashing stuff you need to be carefull and read read read.. in your case W8 you need to flash a kernel 90% of the time same setting..

Hes on W8 so unless im mistakin COD6 bootloader and modem will not work.
He can flash the builds but needs a kern to complete the boot... like bio..
And doesnt need the COD6 firmware..
He prob can flash the rom he wanted he just needs to follow it with the kern before he booted...
Easypeasy..[emoji3]
