Dear Guru's...
I've flashed the SGS, with JS3 from samfirmware & odin...
Everything looks fine until reboot...
The phone keeps vibrating and do have the following error in recovery mode : 'Update media Can't mount dbdata..."
Conclusion it doesn't boot at all...
Any clues on how to solve that ?
ManyMany Thanks!

Recovery is working, But i do have the error here : " Your storage is not prepared yet etc etc etc.."
And download mode also working...
Is there any rom that I can put ?
if you can get download mode working you can flash another ROM thru Odin, start of on a stock ROM then work your way back to a custom ROM if thats what u want.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846913
I've got the same problem. Phone boots in both download and Recovery mode, but it cannot access internal SD since it was formatted in Ext4 by the lagfix (yes, I forgot to bring it back before using Odin).
Is there any way to solve this without sending the phone to Samsung?

The thing is " I use a stock rom from samfirmware...."...
flashing back to stock rom should remove the ext4 lagfix. did for me anyway.
link for stock firmware is in post above ^^^^

Did that !
I'll try to do it with csc and modem file...
what is reset EFS Phone ?
I probably solved. I'm going to make a FULL flash to JPU with three files and PIT, then I'll upgrade to JS3, then will swith to a custom ROM.
This should work
sorry my mistake i assumed you already had 3 files and pit ... yeah that should work
dont tick EFS just the re partition and auto reboot f. reset time

Hi! I was just wondering is this method going to work even I have custom rom (Darkys extreme edition 9.0.2) installed ?
Only asking because something went terribly wrong, and phone just keeps rebooting all the time. So with odin + I9000XXJPY (stock firmware) everything goes back to normal? and after that I can start all over to see what went wrong

Hello Adrianoxx,
Please read this nice guide how to debrick your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134975
Also I recommend JVR, but pay attention to have boot loader included.
You can take a rom from Ramad collection. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881.
Give a thx to them for the nice job.

I found another thread relating DBDATA issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953339
So steps looks like that:
-flash with I9000XXJPU to replace the DBDATA + pit512
-check if error still exist
- if it is ok (should be) flash a new rom which you like (+bootloader if is newer) BUT whitout repartition.
Please confirm us if is ok.
Good luck.

I tried flash dbdata.rfs but the problem persist
I tried flash after jpu, speemod 13 kernel, when use this kernel phone but and working good but can´t mount internal or external sd-card. This interesting, like the a stock kernel can´t mount system partitions. but speemod do.

you flashed a stock rom that was incomplete and used a pit file when you shouldnt.
you need to flash a full stock rom. dont use a pit. you dont need to. and it gave you this problem.

nope, just flash as is, using Odin as PDA
Solution:- For M110S, use repair kit from Pit Stop
For i9000, Use i9000 Rescue kit with heimdall or on linux , select files as follows...
primary boot > boot.bin
secondary boot > Sbl.bin
repartition > s1_odin_20100512.pit
factoryfs > factoryfs.rfs
cache > cache.rfs
dbdata > dbdata.rfs
param > param.lfs
modem > modem.bin
kernel > zImage
The reboot may request for "Confirm password", just enter any password about 5 times until prompted that, "this will wipe the card." Yes wipe, ..Should solve the problem
Reason for this is system unable to Format /data... hence on ICS ROM, moving /data to External SD Card will solve this problem
this solve my problem but the phone still not working good, after i did this the camera dont work and alot of others things in the phone \= .
is there any solution to fix the internal sd card?

You need to format it, by any means possible, IF, it is not functioning due to wrong format BUT if the internal SD card is corrupted, than it has to be replaced

Try with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning
Know that you will lose its data, but anyway you can't reach it now...
P.S. I misunderstood, you can't reach internal storage. Try to format it in settings->storage->partition. Or simply change ROM before anything.

Sorry, seems XDA does not allow *.pit extension to be uploaded. You need to unzip it first.
Yes, you needed to flash Stock 4.1.2 in first place.
,
P.S. I needed to put some random image in zip, it did not allow me to upload that small file on XDA... Just ignore it.
