I just recently grabbed FPSe for my Tab and I spent a good half hour fiddling around with various settings but I was wondering if anyone had a setup that worked well. I'm running CyanogenMod 10 Nightlies and using the CMOC10-Kernel.

Hello all,
I've done a lot of searching through the forums and elsewhere trying to get the Treve mod tethering mod to work on my newly rooted phone. Got the ICS/JB (wlan0), wifi encryption (13 letters long), wifi driver reload 1 enabled, 2 disabled, mss clamping enabled and routing fix enabled. Earlier it was running but really slowly (under 1mbps up/down on my laptop while getting upwards of 12 mbps up and 7 mbps down on the phone). I uninstalled and tried previous versions. I've since reinstalled the treve mod (after uninstalling the other versions) and now when I start the tether it doesn't change from 0 up/down. Not really sure what else to do.
Just got the phone a few days ago, have rooted and flashed the Viper Rom. Any other information that would be valuable to anyone who could help? Thoughts on who I might reach out to to get this resolved? Thanks all.

Maybe it has something to do with your PC and not necessarily with your ONE.
Well on my phone's wifi tether screen (where you can press the "Press to start tethering" and then it shows you the speed) both my download and upload sit at 0.0 kbps. Despite the fact that I just spent the past 4 hours watching a high quality Twitch stream with minor hiccups, my 4g indicator in the top bar is on w/ full reception and I was just able to surf reddit.
I mean, I'm expecting that I'm doing something wrong. Everyone else seems to be having no trouble with their tether. I just don't really know what else to change/where else to look.
Well for some reason it's starting to perform better. I reinstalled it and haven't touched any of the settings and it's working well. still about a quarter of the speed I get on my phone but certainly better than nothing. I will update here if anything else changes.

Years ago I used Windows Mobile and about the time 6 came out I remember an app that would change your volumes based on where you were. Then when I switched to Android I found Llama an app that will change your profile, turn on wifi, turn on bluetooth, etc based on location. I'm thinking of switching to WP8 so I was wondering is there an app along those lines for it? I can't remember if I found one when I was playing around with the Dell Venue Pro or not. And I know that even if I had found one it wouldn't work on 8, but maybe the dev updated it.
btw did the Dell Venue Pro remind anyone else of the old HTC Windows Mobile phones in that it got so many things so right and then just dropped the ball in reliability? I loved my Touch Pro 2, but the stock rom was garbage. The DVP rebooted half the time I shut the keyboard.
I haven't updated my SCH-I800 in a while and I notice that there is now a stable "cm-9.1.0-p1c.zip" on the cyanogenmod site but also CM10 builds (cm-10-20130714-NIGHTLY-p1c.zip) as recently as last week. The forums for the I800 aren't up right now so I thought I'd ask here if these CM10s are actually functioning well or if they have lots of missing features. And as much as I dig, I seem to only find half working ROMs or extremely experimental ones that have basic things like WiFi missing. Is there a solid stock Samsung ROM and a solid AOSP ROM that everyone uses at this mater point in this tablet's lifespan?
And is there a new method for flashing at all? Or is ODIN still the way?
Thanks!!!

I have spent the last week or so trying to get an SCH-i800 to run something OTHER than the stock gingerbread well and just haven't found it yet. The closest I got was a build of CM9 but still have sporadic reboots.
It's frustrating since the only thing I want this to do is run some OBD apps for my car. The problem is that apps detect Gingerbread and run in phone mode vs. tablet mode, wasting a bunch of screen space.
Cubed has been pretty much the only non-stock rom that didn't have FC's and random reboots. I don't even use the cellular feature of this tablet - I'd be happy just disabling the modem entirely and running on wifi if it meant it being more stable.
I'm considering just getting a Nexus 7, but the problem is that this thing would need to live in my car and I don't feel like doing that with a new tablet which is why I was trying to get the i800 to work
Hello,
Recently took the CM plunge with my Nook HD+
Love how the lag and general sluggishness is gone, however, I have noticed something regarding streaming video. I work with a sports stats company that requires live game statistics. I have been using my tablet mainly for streaming ESPN, Big Ten Network, Xfinity TV. Since I flashed and rooted, I have noticed a pretty substantial lag in the games (If I open the application from the iPad or computer, I am noticing anywhere from a minute to 3 minute delay). Normally, you would most likely tell me "who cares", but since a major portion of the job requires speed and timeliness, I have been struggling with this lag.
Would there be any settings out there to tweak? It's obviously not the router, since before I flashed CM, it was on par with the iPad and computer versions of the app.
Thanks to anyone out there with assistance. Love what you guys do for this place.

If you can really guarantee that its not something else then just go back to the official. Make a backup of cm first so you can go right back if you want or need to.
I'm making this thread since I can't post in the development forum. I've been having some slow WiFi troubles since installing Hashcode's CM12 build. I did a completely clean install of the latest build.
I've read of many connectivity problems, etc -- my WiFi connects and stays connected with no problems, however, my speeds are consistently very slow. For example, where I'm sitting right now my phone gets ~23 mbps on a speed test, but the Nook only gets about ~2-3 mbps. This has been consistent since installing about a week ago. My WiFi has not been this slow on my Nook in the past on other ROM builds. I tried deleting the folder noted previously in the thread and rebooting to no avail. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I would also like to say that most everything else has been running very well and I am very thankful to Hashcode for this build! Great work.
