Hi guys, anyone know how to over clock cm9 stable..?
It should be in settings of your kernel. What kernel do you use?
Or you can try change some settings in settings -> performance -> processor. But i don't know if it depends on kernel.
Download nstools

If you sre on a stock kernal you wont be able to oc.
I have darkcore
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Which Rom ? Dark core may not be a kernal that can be over clocked, was it the kernal that came with the Rom ? If so its still a stock kernal and you may need to flash another one.
Hay dude just download GalaxianGt or Semaphore 1.5.0 these are OC Kernel....i dnt think so darkcore is overclocked.

has anyone tested ''ANDROID overclock''? under 10% batery crasht :/ anyway, very good app
Try Tegrak OverClock app, for OverClock

I don't think hardcore can be overcloked, try semaphore or another.kernel.

Right, darkcore is not for OC. Take Semaphore, Talon or Galaxian
U can OverClock a DC, but u need a TegrakOverClock App , bcz i install a OC module, like Voodoo Control Plus App
can i ask how i oc semaphore 1.7.0. until 1.5.0 i was able oc with setcpu, now in 1.6.0 and 1.7.0 i can't,what i need som script if i unerstand write.
i now my english its everything but fine.

no ,i figure out,i haven't now how to use script, but, now i do.no app could hellp, you just need to copy something from res-scripts to etc-init.d,enable oc must copy.thanks anyway
Hi!
How do I update SlimICS with Semaphore kernel installed (the current versions when new SlimICS version is out)?
Just clean /cache and Dalivic?
Clean something else?
Then install the SlimICS components in CWM?
Do i have a "clean" SlimICS after that without semaphore components left?
And then optionally reinstall semaphore kernel?
Another question: When i want to test Semaphore kernel.... how can i completly uninstall the kernel after testing?
THX!
Mart
Before updating I always revert all semaphore settings to stock, in recovery wipe cache and dalvik, clear init.d and ns tools then follow update changelog instructions.
If you want to revert back to stock kernel after a play with semaphore, the kernel is provided over at the slim website, check the version though.

Thank You for the fast reply!
Do you mean the "Base_Samsung_4.0.zip" as SlimICS kernel?

No, the actual kernel I think is posted in unsupported mods section

Heads up.....the one posted is 3.9, I don't know if this is the same as the 4.0

If you are on slim use the ota app!

Is there a significant performance gain using semaphore kernel compared to stock slim kernel for you? Is it worth trying?

I find the bigmem mode of the semaphore kernel to be better as more ram means better multitasking
Hey, I just wanted to ask is it possible to lower the vibrations? Since I moved to ICS/JB i just can' t get used to it. In 2.3 roms they were much lower or i even could set them in settings.
So, is it possible to lower vibrations on JB?

I' m using unofficial port of CM10 by ivendor, and looking in settings --> system i don' t see vibrations option.
If your kernel have a kernel manager, like:
Devil kernel - devil kernel manager
Semaphore - semaphore manager
You can look at your's if your kernel have one, google it

Under "about phone" you can see your kernel info, the stock CM10 kernel allows vibration control, and the setting is located in system settings somewhere, so you'll have to check your kernel, and then if the one you have isn't the stock, if it has a management app.

hi,
i've a galaxy s with Cyanogen Mod 10.1 Nightly intalled and currently up to date.
but i have a problem, my phone sometime reboot and i can't discover the cause of this.
i try to uninstall my apps one by one but with no positive results.
i thought the problem was the CM10.1 because is a nightly rom, so i've installed the stable version of CM10 but the problem appears again.
so now i have installed again the CM10.1 .
can someone help me with this problem ?
thanks a lot and sorry for my bad english

Which kernel you are using?
you may try this,
1) reflash the rom with full wipe.
2) if you are overclock the OC clear int.d and NStool setting or using kernel cleaning script
note: only use one kernel setting apps ( e.g NStool , semaphore manager and +++)
If you are using semaphore kernel try not to use NStool setting and semaphore manager.
Hope this will help. :fingers-crossed:

i think the problem is the app of the sim card, because sometime it disappear from the drawer. This app is named "kit strumenti sim" (in italian) and is a default app...
I kinda have a similar problem with the OP. Except, my SGS (running CM10.1) only random reboots if I'm using another kernel, other than stock (mostly, I tried with Semaphore, diff builds). Any ideas anyone?
I would really like to use Semaphore, due to its deep idle and other options.
Sorry if I off-topic'ed here!

if you flash semaphore kernel(2.9.++ is for 4.2.++ ROM) and reflash the cm10.1 rom yor kernel will change to cm10.1 stock kernel.
so the step should be flash the rom and reboot to recovery and flash the kernel you like. for me flash a new kernel i will clear the NStools settings and init.d directory from advanced clear before i flash any new kernel.
Hello guys.
I am about to use cm10.1. I would like to make my phone faster but overclock is rebooting my phone too often, also it gets hot really easily. Is there anything 'speed kernel compatible with cm10 / up ?

Semaphore kernel is compatible and fast
however, you have to play with the governors and scheduler to change speed without overclocking (also in stock kernel)
look your best configuration
Overclock

Could u give me a link about a thread that includes the kernel and the way how to set it up? I haven't done kernel change for ages..
And amm.. I don't mind overclocking but if I have to, I need one that does not reboot every 3rd minute...
