Home Button Seems Weird - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay Ive had my Note since March and lately my Home button sometimes I have to hit it twice for it to go out of an app and so on happens a lot now every day. This started when around the time I changed my launcher to a 3rd party one but I dont see it causing the issue, But the reason why I think about it cause my Home button feels kinda loose and creaks when pressed.
I`ve never dropped it and its been protected. What could cause this?

Quite probably some sand or dust got inside.

Just wondering, which launcher are you using?

May be worth trying an alternative such as apex, just to verify if it's hardware or lag on launcher. Does sound hardware related though

Widgets not refreshing on ics

I've tried almost all of the ics roms and different launchers. For some reason my widgets will intermittently stop refreshing.
Does anyone have this problem.
I've tried apex, nova, go etc..

It happens sometimes. But I use nova launcher so I can just restart the launcher if the widgets stop.

I found a fix. In ROM control/ performance settings I increased the free memory to 75.

Post back here in a week and tell me how it goes. Its not a big enough issue for me to mod any settings right now but if it is that simple of a fix I might as well.

For some reason I really like this launcher but it has issues on the Kindle. Anyone know a fix?

Just downloaded and ran it, I really like it so far too it's awesome that recent apps works and when you disable softkeys it's a nice look although the screen seems a little small

Capacitive buttons

They are annoying the hell out of me. Is it just mine or it's a bug. But pretty frequently I won't be able to use one of the two buttons when in an app. I do have a screen protector but Idk if that plays a major role in it or not.

Keyboard keeps switching back to stock

This is the first time I've ever had a problem like this. No matter which keyboard I try (I've tried with SwiftKey, Swype and Minuum Beta), the default keyboard keeps switching back to the stock one. It happens anytime the phone has been asleep long enough, so it's not just when I reboot. It happens many, many times throughout the day. Anyone have any clue as to what's going on?

Loose/Stiff/Unresponsive buttons?

Is anyone else having problems with any of their buttons. Like for example, my back button is a bit stuck inside and makes a large snap everytime I press it. It's really bad and sometimes it is unresponsive. Is anybody have any similar issues?

Go to AT&T store and see if they can replace it. Fatter than sending your phone to Samsung.
