Not rooted but unlocked. (Using tmobile).
Today, i rebooted my phone and suddenly my phone does not display anything but a black screen and the scroll down notification bar.
It went through the normal process of Android upgrading and I am using Apex Launcher.
Would the problem be apex launcher or my phone actually dying?
The 4 homescreen buttons also do not work
Something became corrupted or messed up on the Rom. Just reflash the Rom without wiping data it should save your stuff if it doesn't work wipe everything or restore a nandroid backup

I'm running Slim 3.2 completely stock. Whenever i receive a call the touch screen is completely unresponsive. I have to power off/on the screen to get it to work. I didn't see anything in the development thread and i googled it. Any help would be appreciated.

Apart from a full wipe format /system and reflash I don't know what else it could be.
That's what i was thinking, i was just hoping to avoid that. These things always seem to happen when you get your phone set up perfectly.

tibu backup, and nandroid backup
factory reset,
reflash rom
test.
restore apps in tibu
test.
still broken? try other rom.
I ended up wiping cache and reflashed the modem. It's been working fine ever since. Sometimes it just the simple things.

I assume I have broken something when tinkering as this is my first smartphone (a few months old) and my first custom rom.
I downloaded and flashed Razodroid 2.5 yesterday.
I installed link2sd and got all my apps on.
The phone is lightning fast compared to the stock rom with link2sd.
I messed with the boot animation - wanted apple vs android. The one put in was far too big and when I got to the lock screen the screen was frozen. I used root explorer to put the bootanimation.zip where the current one was.
I rang the phone and everything started again. I swapped the animation back out and I still have the same problem.
I had deleted the modded touch wiz and experia launcher as I preferred holo launcher.
I'm not sure if something I have done can be undone or do I have to flash and start all over again.
Like a fool I didn't take a nandroid backup before making a mess of things.
Any help much appreciated.
Download odin, download a firmware from samfirmware, save your data and go back to stock rom. If you need a guide look around in the general section.

thanks
Thanks,
I was afraid of that.
I did use rafaels script to backup the phone in odin format before flashing razodroid so at least I have something - I just hadn't backed up before messing with razodroid

Some luck
The backup I took after messing up the bootanimation allowed me to restore my apps etc after reflashing razodroid (after going through stock rom as advised above.
Thanks for the help
Worked out that I should have made Holo launcher system before I deleted the other launchers. The phone seems to refuse to load up the apps on the sd card without an active launcher present. Holo launcher on sd card no use. Phoning the phone seemed to wake it up and it would load Holo launcher. Learned the importance of a wee backup anyway.
Update; backed up again and deleted the other launchers and phone working with holo launcher as a system app.

My haptic feedback randomly stops working and only works again when I restart it. I've check the power saving option and also the turned haptic feedback off and on and also check the vibration level of it but none of those gets it working. Another issue is the screen resolution randomly distorts and I have to restart to get that working again as well. Anyone know what's wrong or have similar issues?
factory reset, flash a stock rom
I already have a stock ROM plus would I be able to keep every single bit of data on my phone with an app like titanium backup?

Yes, with Titanium Backup you can save alle system and user app settings if you stay with the same Android version
Titanium Backup
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
Make sure your using the latest Recovery and remember to Backup in the Recovery just in case.
I use TWRP:

Make sure you choose the right model just in case. Either i9305 or i9305T.

Hello,
I've gotten into customizing my phone and it seemed this place was the best. However I've run into a problem. My phone boots fine and the screen comes on but after I lock it the screen doesn't come back on, only the LED's. I have recently removed tweakbox because I liked the CRT screen off/on effect. The reason I uninstalled it was because I thought it might be contributing to the problem.
I also had Widget locker and enabled the 'disable stock locker'. I soon uninstalled this when the problem occured. I then did a system restore from Titanium backup but this only restored apps and the home screen so I no longer have my customized stuff (sad face).
Is there any way I can force an android update to restore the faulty files?
I'm running Android 4.0.3
Kernel version: 2.6.39.4
Build number:IML74K
Software version: LG-P880-V10h-NOV-19-2012
Try to factory reset but backup your all data on it

I had the same error as you are now because I replaced lg framework or something. Tried anything but to no avail and had to factory reset the phone using the stock recovery.

Did factory reset, all is good! Thanks chaps
Hey guys,
a few days ago i noticed that some google services drained my battery quite a bit. after some fixing attempts which did not work i decided to perform a factory reset via the stock tool from HTC which you can find in the menu(it was completely stock except the unlocked bootloader and S-OFF). After that factory reset my notification bar lagged every time i pulled it down. I could not find any solution for that so i installed the InsertCoin M7 2.3.1 rom and performed a full wipe. I also installed the ElementalX-m7-14.1 kernel. Both did not fix the problem. The rest of the ui and all my apps run completely flawless.
My Bootloader is unlocked and i have security turned off (S-OFF).
Did you ever hear about something similar?
There is something else about my phone too. A few months ago i "turned" my ONE into a Play Edition. Since that point on every Boot it shows the Google icon before the boot animation no matter which ROM is installed... is that common?
thanks in advance.
That second part is because you are s-off you can change your boot Image. You could find a thread somewhere around here to change it back to HTC. For the first problem, never use stock update or tools on custom rom, how to resolve I do not know.
