Hi all,
I'm awaiting the arrival of my Droid 4 to replace my Droid 3.
Can someone who can compare, please tell me, if the Droid 4 loudspeaker is louder than the Droid 3's?
Thanks in advance
Having owned both, the Droid 4 is much improved, on par with the Droid 1.
Thanks for the reply, that's good news.
Could you see any difference with the screens? They should be identical I think, aren't they?
Thanks again.

I had this phone for over two years then I stupidly got the HTC Thunderbolt. The keyboard was the best and the battery life was 100x better then what I have now. Plus my Droid is rocking Gingerbread... Yup, just wanted to say how much I love this phone.
Do you still love your Droid?
Yep I do... my brother just got a HTC Desire HD and it's nice but... not much personality I guess you can say...
I think my most cherished phones were:
1- The Nokia Banana
2- Nokia 8250 (grey 8 series with blue screen)
3- MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE: Nokia N95 8GB > Still Strong to this day
4- Nokia N900: Absolutely brilliant, and would have kept it forever and not replaced it with the milestone had Nokia not abandoned it and if it had better phone software. It was always laggy in answering calls.
5- My Milestone!
Was gonna buy a Desire Z, but decided to wait for the Xperia Pro, or something dual core with a keyboard > GSM.
In the uk I don't think can't get the thunderbolt. So the only good qwerty android phones are the milestone 1&2 and desire z

The best phone for me ever is the motorola RAZR. Had fun hacking it too. My Milestone comes next.
My Milestone is crap (RAM-wise) to my DHD and Galaxy S, but I still can't let go of it.
I just gave up my Droid x for a milestone. I missed this thing, my first true droid love.
Before my droid was the htc vogue running winmo booting android 1.3 off the sd. Love it until my dog ate it.

Hey all,
Just wanted to get some opinions on this. My Bionic has been having a fair amount of issues as of late. It seems every CLNR replacement phone I have gotten has had one issue or another. Verizon offered to bump me up to the Razr for my trouble and time. The question is when I got my Bionic I got the extended battery with it. Would you make the trade? Or push for the Razr Maxx since it is a closer comparison to the Bionic w/ extended battery? (Which was purchased at Verizon as well) Just looking for some conversation on it, and maybe some ideas on what I should do...
Thanks in advance!
push for the galaxy nexus, best of both worlds.
You think the Nexus trumps Bionic and Razr Maxx?
maybe not on battery life, but the developer support and (half-ass) google support really makes a good choice. NFC is very nice also.
Wait for Razr HD?
Leaving my Thunderbolt and have access to either a Razr or Bionic. Which should I activate???

They're both practically the same phones except the Razr is thinner and has ICS. So I'd go with the Razr
Bionic has ICS too just not OTA. The leaked builds for the Bionic is a higher version number then the ICS version on the Razr. Not sure if that is of importance. Correct me if I'm wrong. The Razr's screen is a higher resolution then the Bionic though (1280x720). Both good either way. Let us know what you chose

The Droid Razr has the same basic screen as the Bionic (540x960 for both), and mostly the same hardware. With the impending ICS leak, I would suggest the Bionic, mainly because you can get an extended battery for it, which is much better than the stock battery or the non-removable of the Razr. If it's the Razr Maxx however, it's got the bigger battery, so I'd go for that.
Go Bionic:
Replaceable batteries!
I have both and still love my Bionic...swapping batteries just feels right, ya know....Amazon has stock Bionic batteries for between 3 and five bucks!
But to each their own...Bionic, that is!
Be strong and very Koragus, my ninja...
Get the Razr. Moto hates the bionic now

I would have lost my left arm... I could of sworn the Razr had higher resolution. Linuxgator is correct that the resolution is the same. The Razr does have a super AMOLED display while the Bionic's is a TFT so the Razer still has the edge.
I traded my Bionic for a RAZR. Bionic was a good phone, but once you hold them both in your hands you'll want to make the switch.
My two closest friends have a RAZR and a Maxx. I don't think you can go wrong between the RAZR and Bionic, but I definitely benefit from the extended battery I have in my Bionic.
But the difference between ICS and GB is night and day, so if you're not willing to put a leak on there, the RAZR may be better for you (though ICS is seemingly impending for the Bionic).
I've read many complaints from Razr owners not being able to watch online videos once they got their ICS update, and some of the people are pretty mad since one day they could and then the next they couldn't.

I think thats a Adobe Flash issue and all Android users will have issues with that on ICS. works for some, doesn't for others. Adobe will not support it past 4.0.x which means it will NOT be made available on JB. That puts Androids back in the same unfortunate feature lacking category as the iPhone.
Those same exact issues are on the Bionic with ICS. All you need to do is sideload Flash (there's a link in the RAZR forums) and it will work perfectly. All flash video works fine on my RAZR.
Considering not everyone can sideload flash on the ics leak for the bionic and have it work, I'd be willing to bet that not every razr will be able to sideload it and have it work also.

Try it like in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1855735 - uninstall clear data for Flash and clear your cache, uninstall whatever version you have, then add the version posted. It will work.
I am completely pleased with my Bionic and the high price I paid for it when it was released. HAHA however if you sought out this forum, I have a feeling you should go with the newer, slightly better supported phone. The razr will get JB first. The AMOLED screen is super nice, and the non-removable battery is considered not as nice. I would def rec the MAXX, but still my vote is RAZR.
Best of all, you will be pleased no matter what you pic. Both good phones
Has anyone even heard the hint of a rumor that the verizon droid 4 is going to have a successor?
one could argue the photon q 4g is the successor, since it has slightly better specs.......

Needs to come to Verizon though. Or how about a 4.5 in screen + S4 Pro Droid 5?
Four inches is great, Motorola would need to get rid of all the dead space and Bezel around the screen for me to even consider anything larger.
Would be nice to see a s4 pro(better yet an exynos), two gigs of ram, and edge to edge display on the droid 5, but I'm betting that it'll just be a razr m with a keyboard ):

Hello straight talk user, looking for a phone with a keyboard. Would you still recommend a droid 3?
Are the performance aspects of it still good?
Thanks for your opinions
Nope!

I dont recomend using a droid 3 the phone is a trap by itself it has only 512 ram and a locked bootloader. the stock rom gets laggy snf sluggish overtime. however its a very durable phone, but if you want want a Good phone with keyboard try getting a Droid 4
If you want jellybean or kitkat, get a droid 4.

Hopefully this is still a help to you, but yes the Droid 3 is an excellent Straight Talk phone. I have used one with their service for a couple of years. I recently switched back to Verizon (nothing against Straight Talk, just an employer reimbursement thing), and have another Droid 3 that I'm using because I liked it so much with Straight Talk. Personally, I believe Minimoto is the way to go with the Droid 3.
