Camera jpg quality [Solved] - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Can anyone post some images @ 13mp best quality running down to 9mp best quality. Are there custom apps that provide raw image access? Custom Image output/ compression? I've found some shots on google but the jpg compression kind of kills the quality. Want to see the best quality image that can be taken with the phone.

Check out the pics thread in General:

Quality
The jpg quality is ok in some and really bad in others. Is there an app that can save an uncompressed jpg or better image format?

I had the feeling that the jpgs are better with this one but had no time to test it really :

Free test version : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flavionet.android.camera.lite

Testing.
OK Cheers I'll give it a go this weekend when I goto the phone shop and see if I can compare. If that is all I need to get quality shots thats great!

Cybershot mod
Looks like someone has answered my prayers. This is a little like a similar mod that was done for the Nokia n8.

[Q] Camera MOD or Alternate APK?

So...the STOCK camera image quality is a great disappointment.
usually the end result is a grainy not so sharp and little detail captured. Pictures turn up with a lot of NOISE in them.
QUESTION: Does any one know of a alternative to getting better quality out of the sensor in the HTC One?
Maybe another APK, or a MOD or just anything else in general to get better quality?
When I take a picture outside in daylight the image size varies from 800Kb to 1.8 MB. Just by looking at the size of the file I can tell its crappy quality. My Nexus 4 was taking pictures of 2.3 - 3.4MB and it captured a great amount of detail.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

So what your saying is that im pretty much SOL? lol
Your first sentence alone is enough to discredit your argument. Read some reviews from experts- I doubt you'll find any that describe the camera as "crappy".
Plus, you're comparing the file sizes of a 4mp camera and an 8mp camera, what do you expect?

Even though it's "only" 4 megapixels, the camera in my One is better in every way than the 8 megapixel shooters in my Galaxy S 3 and Optimus G.
I don't use my camera phone to create photographic masterpieces, but it does the job I need it to do.

Picture quality

How about new Moto X picture quality? As we know, it delivers a 13 MP camera, however, the more MP does not mean great picture quality.
Has any picture taken with Moto X been released?
A lot of photo samples are there!

I think that camera quality hasn't been improved and the image processing seems more aggressive than in moto x 2013. Photos are very grainy!!!! The quality of these photos remember me to the razr xt910 that take grainy photos also. I'm very disappointed. Night captures are terrible!!!!
I somewhat agree! I mean if it's really the same sensor which was used in S4 and kinds, then the photos should look better than how they look! Just like the original X the results are inconsistent, one shot looks nice and another really average! Maybe software enhancements are not there, or something...
For me though, the photos are okay, however I don't give much a damn about camera, but still if camera solely is the reason for someone to purchase a phone then I think it's better to look elsewhere. I will however wait for a proper review, these shots might come from a pre release unit running on unstable software.
I think you cats are being over dramatic

camera Mod confusion

hi,
there are some camera mods for xperia z1.
I use camerazadas and I think its awesome,(on mxrom v 8)
there are some other mods but I don't think they are really working, just scum... if you are skilled I want to know which one isn't.
we have cyberian mod, but It's effect is not good enough. I'm even not sure that this one isn't an stolen work
there is a persian website with some camera mods.
the web site is xperian
first mod name is pexocam :
download link
the developer claimed that he fully deleted xperia color engine and he uses livecolor engine! and he added wide focus to z1!
second one is sonyplus mod!!! they say it has an special engine named sonyplus for image processing. developers are the same with cyberian.
and here is the result in iso:3200 and 8 mega pixel resolution
the comparison link
and he make money out of this mod!!
thank you for your time
Cyberian camera is a mix of other modders mods but no credit is given and they use false labeling for some functions in menu. Looking at files and comparing them the Pexocam one looks much like original 4k/Timeshift mod, original Z5 Camera Lib Mod and a modified Camera 2.0. Whatever the changes it is tied to the Camera 2.0. The comparision picture looks like auto WB vs incandescent WB setting. Smells like bad rice as Cyberian camera with wild claims of what it can do. Though some brave soul might try installing it.
Remember though that all these system files have wide system access. For example camera apk has access to sms system and much more.

Its in the MAIL! :D Questions About Pro Photography!?

Hello! Ive been using a Huawei Honor 5x for about a year now >.< after breaking my m8 and z3... BUT! I had a couple questions, looking around i found a lot of people talking about how good the "Auto" mode was on the phone >.> and had some questions.
Has anyone here tried playing with the Raw files on the OP3? Or tried doing any POST work to any of their photos to clean them up//make them look any better? I was going through comparisons between this, the Pixel, and the s7 (which id never buy in america because there are no ROMS and the phone is slow as nonsense) AND looking at those photos from the perspective of someone who owned an Honor 5x for so long...
The three are really not significantly different in any way that i could tell. Sure the other two expose better in low light...but then, how much room do we have to play with in post with that? lol cause if we can force ISO a couple stops lower and still pull that detail from POST work im pretty sure POST photos will look much, much better than the auto photos on any of the other phones.
Not to mention, because they are very only lightly different here... we have the fastest phone, and if the photos are correctable, that means that we could have at least some awesome POST work pictures, and the fastest phone o.o there really wouldnt need to be an upgrade.
So i was curious, has anyone played with the raw files to see what they could really get out of the OP3's camera or have most of you here only played with auto modes or manual modes saving to jpeg without editing. And if so, whats your experience like!

o.o so i been looking at it >.> and i think its pretty coo, but working on various settings and what can be done, ALSO, wanna be able to take more pictures in better lighting. BUT
IMG 1 and 4 were raw files, and actually, its raw output is pretty exciting
I switched from the S7 (930F), because I use only the photo part of the camera and after trying out the OP3 (not the T), i realized, that the higher MP count lets me crop more and details were better. Sure the S7 was a better all-rounder, but I had it for a year and also got tired of it
I am having the 3T for 2 weeks now and the results are in line with what I was expecting.
I did not have time yet to make a full test drive (planning it this weekend), but here are some RAWs I edited in-phone or in PS(+ Nik Plugins from Google).
The noise is obvious in some shots after heavy editing id's say more than on the S7 results, so I am currently trying some DFINE2 profiles to reduce it (and planning to try out Topaz Denoise as well).

Awesome! o.o use photoshop more often eh? Im a big fan of lightroom for editing as its noise removal is kinda nuts in a lot of ways, i think i use topaz detail?...
ah no, i use fustion express. Pretty good tho if i ever need to dive out of lightroom for a minute. Yeah you know if i can run a couple tests in lightroom i think ill be able to remove that noise o.o A little fine tuning and im sure it will get down.
Do you like photoshop for raw edits? When i plugged in my T5 RAW files to photoshop >.> it was giving kinda limited options for editing those files.
those are some awesome shots though

o.o for example here is the noise removed from that shot, though the initial jpg compression was a little heavy haha, still took the noise out of the clouds.

I use PS, because I need an all-in-one tools for my photos. Also I use a DSLR and for some sceneraios I need stacking. Well, it is the most complex app I'd say, but it does everything.
Camera RAW 9.4 is preety good for RAW edits for me

Just a quick question to current 3T owners, how has the camera fared at capturing moving subjects? Is it as horrendous as some people make it out to be?

Is it worth getting a portrait picture taken in .TIFF?

I'm applying for an acting/modelling job online and they request that you give good quality pictures. Their site offers the ability to upload in .JPG, .PNG, or .TIFF. They said good photos are usually a minimum of 10MB and more and uncompressed tiffs are the best.
Basically, the bigger the resolution of the image, the better chance you have of getting the job.
I've talked to my friend who is a photographer and he says that getting an image taken for .TIFF is over the top even though it would be very clear.
I'm confused. Who is right?
