Now that the note II has been announced, is it worth it to get the note 1? I can buy the unlocked note for 250 dollars. Thanks.

I started of course with the original nokia flip phone... then had the original.motorola razr. Then had tmobile sidekick..then had 3 iPhones.
This is the best phone I ever have used. I don't touch my computer anymore. The screen size allows that. I will not be upgrading to the note 2...

If you're getting the note 1 because it's cheap, I would go for it.
It really is a great phone.
But if you just want the latest and greatest and money is not a problem, I would suggest the note 2.
$250 is cheap!!! I just bought another one for $375. Now I got blue and white to exchange
Yes, go for it, you wont regret it. I got mine a month ago for 300 eur used 2 weeks - guy found it to big for him and I love it! Upgrade to note 2 is not real option as it is not much better in real life use - leave benchmarks aside.

just make sure if u getting it cheap .. its not a phone that has been revived from a brick or something.. check the storage capacity thoroughly
This is a fantastic phone! You won't regret it. I on the other hand am going for the Note II. I have had this Note since December, and I'm ready for a change Hopefully by the end of this month or the beginning of next month I'll be able to get it! Amazon.de, and .es aren't ready to ship yet .
Splash out on the Note II. You will not regret it... its absolutely brilliant...

I was just checking out the Chromecast on the BestBuy website and noticed for the first time that the Netflix 3-Month Trial Offer is no longer listed on the right side of the page under the "Offers"/"Promos" sub-heading...or whatever that sub-heading was called lol Did that NetFlix Trial Offer end or something? What's the deal? This is the first I've seen this. It may have been this way for several days now...I just haven't been aware of it until now! I posted a screenshot from my pc and circled in green where it usually is located...
everyone has known that it would be gone by the end of the month. I guess they just pulled it a couple days early. It was never meant to be a long time offer. Google pulled the plug after a few days at most
Google pulled the offer the day after release. I was lucky Best Buy was still honoring the offer weeks after release.

I bought the Chromecast last weekend at a Best Buy in Brentwood, Mo and got the three months free Netflix.
Bought mine today at best buy and didn't get it. Sure would of been nice.

The deal is not valid anymore. If it was, the Netflix gift code would be on your receipt and emailed to you (the register will ask for your email when a Netflix code is given).
Got mine 2 weeks ago from best buy. Com and I was emailed the code still.

I have the Note 7 and i love this phone and really want to just replace it with the new Note 7 but i'm usually don't keep phones more than 1 year or maximum 2 year, and because the bad "reputation" with the recall (i don't care about that)
i'm afraid that i will not be able to sell it.
I bought the Note 7 from T-mobile with $69 + Tax and on 24 month contract.
Do you think i just need to return it and move on, or replace it ?
Also I thought to sign for "JUMP on demand" get the Note 7 and get different phone when i'm ready for it,
do you think it's worth it ?

Just return it. I have a feeling that this phone will lose it's value heavily by Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I guess is what i'm gonna do.
It's a great opportunity to get onto Jump On Demand. I was on an alternate version of Jump and was able to switch when I returned the Note 7 and freed me up to get JOD. Just note that most stores are reluctant to offer it to you. You have to say that you talked to customer service and they said you could.

If you go the 18 months of the lease, you can purchase the device at a cheap price. Example would be the Galaxy S7 Edge for $175 at the end of the lease.
I am thinking to keep both till Note 8, though not happy still being charged on EIP monthly for my Note 7.

I like to keep my Note 7 at least until the Galaxy 8 releases if possible but I hear T-Mobile is blocking Note 7s in New Zealand and I don't see the stopping there if their plan works out. I like to hold out for the Note 8. According to some business predictions Samsung will blow our pants off in order to make up for all the trouble and stress they caused us all.

Thanks. Are you being charged monthly for Note 7 EIP by Tmobile?

Unfortunately yes but I already paid half because of some problems I had with the preorder before release day. Even if I returned it I wouldn't get all my money back since I used a credit card and already made some payments from the jump.

I don't know about the note 7 v1 but they are allowing you to hold on the the loaner for only 2 months . In my case an s7 edge. They said if I don't turn it in within the 2 months I will be charged for it. I can return the phone to any store.

Who's they? I still have my V2 and not planning on turning it in until at least the S8 comes out. But I wouldn't mind waiting until the Note 8 lol. I honestly think half of those burning phones were bogus claims.
My phone never heats up and runs really smooth, so unless I have to fly somewhere then this puppy is staying with me lol.

Nobody told me that I had to return loaner in two months. It was a mess then so I was told initially no timeline for that, though that was before Note V2.
I am charged for both phones' EIP, though I had a monthly credit for loaner EIP. Does anyone with Note 7 only have monthly credit for EIP? Or were you charged for EIP monthly at all?
Thanks

Samsung received my note 5 on the 22nd of September. Do they send you an email saying all is Good? When do you find out that they give you full credit?
For those who don't know and are thinking about trading in their old phones to Verizon; you can do the trade in at a Verizon store. They will will process it immediately so that the bill credit will take effect on your next bill. The process takes less than five minutes to do.

Received Note 8 on 9-8
Sent S7E on 9-13,
Received "trade in received" email from Verizon on 9-20
Received email today (9-27) stating: Final Trade-In value: $20 per month for 24 months
Verizon page to check status shows the same info so I get the full 480.00. I'm pleased.
Ok, thanks for the info. So about 7 to 10 days I should get something from Samsung. Last loose end to tie up with this purchase. I am prepared, made a video of the mint condition note 5 as proof so Samsung can't say it was in bad shape.

I ordered my Note 8 from samsung and sent an iphone 5s. After a couple of days I just logged into my samsung account and all the info was there. Got $425 off the Note 8 as I used to have a Note 7. In fact, all of my Samsung phones are in my account going back to the S3. Even my old tablets.
