[Q] Make an image of my UNROOTED nexus one ?

Hello,
I plane on root my nexus one, I had it since its release and now I see some limits with my unrooted phone. But before that I would like to backup everything and when I think backup of a computer, I think image (acronis, ghost, wim, etc.) but is it possible to do the same with my phone ? Even if it is still not rooted ? If not, how should I backup it ?
Best regards,

You have to root before you can take an image (called a NAND backup)
Ok thanks, so how do you think I should backup ? Copy/past of my SDCARD ?

Install ROM Manager from the market and use it's backup feature.

No way to do it unless you are rooted, or have an unlocked bootloader.

[Q] Expand Internal Memory of Google nexus one

Hi, Anyone can help me to figure out how can i move all date(applications fails) to SD card? , because I installed some Apps on my sd but phone says that internal memory is low , I guess that some fails of Apps still leaving in internal memory.
can u pls elaborate the condition of ur phone?like whether u r rooted or not , wat rom u r running?
yes eventhough u move apps2sd , some data remains in internal memory...
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
Yes, it is rooted, android gingerbread 2.3.6
so u r wid rooted stock rom. so in order to increase internal storage so as to install more apps. you got two options.
1. flash a custom rom that supports sd ext ...
2. stay wid stock rom, install blackrose and resize partition.
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
Research Apps2sd or using something like darktremor script and a 1gb ext4 partition on your SD card

Which rom will you suggest?
How can I install rom?
Is it safe or can I recovery current rom after changing?

Yes I mean FM radio, but it officially turn off, I need some mod for turning it on.
About a month ago I was in the same position as you are. Was really new to all of this and I was constantly running out of space on my N1. All this stuff takes time to figure out, but its really not that difficult if you can follow direction and aren't afraid of typing commands. IMO the easiest way to expand your internal memory is to install CM7 and use S2E. Note that you are not really expanding your internal memory.. it's just a really cool work around. You'll want to make sure you have a fast sdcard, I'm using a class 10 32Gb card and life is good again.
I tried CM7, but with it GPS does not work.
If you've made it this far, getting CM7 on there, then getting the GPS working again shouldn't be too much trouble. At this point you might want to consider flashing a new kernel. I switched to 2.6.38.8 Tiamat_N1-v4.1.0, mostly because the stock kernel in CM7 had low in-call audio volume for me. It's working great so far and I've noticed better battery life.
Just make sure you do a nandroid backup first!!
OK, thanks, but from where I can download kernel and how can I change it?

You can find many kernels in the development section. if you are looking for Tiamat kernel look here http://tiamat-dev.com/mahimahi/

Restore .sbu backup files after flashing GT-N7000 into JellyBam

Hai everyone,
I am amazed with iGio90's custom ROM and the features included make my jaw dropped to the floor.
After flashing my GNote to JellyBam my PC Kies unable to establish connection with my phone and I know this could be due to the custom kernel and ROM in my GNote. I need to restore my .sbu backup file into my phone as there are a lot of important infos for my work. TQ guys.
**I do searched this topic everywhere in this forum and I didn't found any. Sorry if I missed one.

kies wont connect to a custom rom. so..
dint you make a backup using TB or CWM? if not the long way out is to get back to a stock rom, restore those files, and then use TB to backup and restore on new rom.
or check this thread

Thanks for your suggestion nokiaguy.
It could be tedious if i revert back to stock ROM and backup using TB and then flash it again to JBam. The JDK cardextractor app only able to extract contact but it still great. However i need other files too.
Does TB recognize .sbu file type?

I don't think so
One more thing about JBam I can't download attachment from email.

[Q] I9305T wont detect sim or connect to the PC

Stupidly, I have been trying to install ROMs that aren't compatible with the I9305T which caused mine to stop functioning properly.
I have flashed it back to the stock Telstra ROM and 2 problems have come up. The first being that it doesn't detect a sim card in it at all and the second being that it won't connect to my PC at all (although I can still use Odin to flash it).
Does anyone know what might have gone wrong to make it suddenly act like this?
The reason it's acting like this is because you flashed ROMS not intended for i9305. What did you flash?
You will most probably have no efs partition now as a result and that's why your sim isn't recognised.
If you didn't make a backup, I think the only thing you can do is take it for repair.

I made a backup before I flashed with TWRP would I be able to restore that?
Hi,
You have to restore your IMEI (backup folder "efs")
Else there's a way for GT-I9305,
but not sure the Param_Bin_I9305.zip - 612.14 KB file is good for I9305T
Anyway, you can ask in the thread for your problem

[Q] why isn't titanium backup not working after i install ARHD 10

I installed the ARHD 10 Rom on my phone and all of a sudden titanium backup isn't working. I need help to fix it ..could anyone help
If you came from a 4.1 Rom then the file structure is different. Click problems then preferences and have TB detect the correct location.
