Wallet case for i or M? - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone seen one of these? I've been looking for about 2 weeks now. the universal kind with the pouch isn't much good, need the type you can clip your phone into with the flip case with card slots. Let me know if you see anything please.
Thanks,
Addam.

Big difference: With and without backcover!

Hey people, look at these 2 pictures, that I just have taken:
With the backcover on:
http://www.4shared.com/file/53179104/2a29789d/Med_cover.html
And without:
http://www.4shared.com/file/53179169/2c2a3a6/Uden_cover.html
As you can see, there is a big difference. Hmm, why haven't HTC done something to this problem?
Are you sure you were at the same distance?
And what about the focus point? It seems a bit different between the 2 pics.....

Yes I'm very sure about that. I have tried with more pictures.
did you stick a 'lense protector' on the cover's lense screen? like if you stuck on a full body protector like invisibleSHIELD there'll be a piece for the lense cover too.
Or, did you forget to peel off the original one?

Haha, no i'm not that stupid Nothing "protection" is on.
the "lens" that is part of the back cover is obviously not optically neutral. Pretty lame if you ask me.

Without the back cover, the Diamond takes decent pictures, still slow on focusing and shutter release(you should see the Samsung F480, this little fellow shoots pictures almost like a normal digital cam) but pretty good for a 3.2 MP cam.
WITH back cover however, the pictures look like crap to me. Sometimes it looks like if the pictures have been taken through light fog and I can clean the lens cover as much as I want(not easy, tiny little bastard), after some time, the lens gets dirty/whatever again. Horrible, HTC definetely needs to find a better solution.

It will "destroy" the backcover? hmm. And when the mirror is gone, dust can easier come into the camera lens?

Yes, of course the quality will increase, when a cheap plastic cover is removed But hmm, my Diamond is 2 days old, and I don't want to already destroy a part of the cover

the problem is man that
when we want to clean the mirror we cant clean it good from the outside
we need to clean it to get better quality

well ideally you should or you should remember not to put you fingers on the lens (not an easy task given the camera position i know) but lets be fair here, i mean its not as if you would take your stand alone digital camera, smear you greasy hands over the lens all day (+ let dust collect on it) and then expect it to take perfect pics...
be practical, if you remove the case screen for long you are gonna end up with scratches on the actual camera lens! and that's not easily replaceable now is it (not like the back cover...) lol

What we need is a back cover with a piece of glass in place of the piece of plastic which covers the lense.
This seems like the only solution to me.
Its because the plastic isnt very durable, it does mist up the photos. If you look on coolsmartphone.com ive also took some pictures and they looked alot better without the back plastic cover on.
I just hope someone somewhere is reading this as i would pay for a back cover with glass instead of plastic lense cover.
The pictures are alot sharper and arent misty without the cover on.

Your right!
white balance
Granted the backcover lens protector doesn't do justice to this phone. Adjusting the white balance does for improvement (say the lighhtbulb mode) I find. Again the camera does let this phone down, compared to others of similar spec. Can a software tweak solve the lag in motion when shooting in video mode at all? Is it as a 'simple' case as that I wonder!?
I just did some test shots with my xda diamond from germany and I honestly cant see a difference. can you tell which one is taken with the cover off?

Macro Lense Attachment

Hey guys, i was wondeiring if you any of you would know if this
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14953 would fit on the HD2? it looks really nice and i would like a macro lense for it, please get back to me thanks
All I can really say is "Wow". That's kinda crazy. I mean if it was detachable then that would be one thing but it looks like it takes the place of the standard bezel and uses the sticky tape to attach. No more putting the phone in your pocket or hip case at this point.

uhhm it is detachable! lol its connected using MAGNET or its magnetic i just want to knwo if it would fit for the HD2.
Macro lens provides better pictures for close up shots right?
Does this count? Lawl. It's a weird thing that I've obtained either from a broken microscope or something or from some camera. I found it laying around the house so I can't really remember where I got it from. All I know, this baby + any camera = excellent shots. The second picture is a close up of the cloth it was originally sitting on.

yeah that is correct, but im just curious about if that thing would fit on the back of a HD2 lol i know it fits on the evo4g just not sure about the HD2.
I remember seeing an article (possibly on Engadget) about one of these for the HTC Evo and I wondered if there was one for the HD2 at the time... I can't answer your question but I will be following your thread.

2 poisonwolf:
I bought a cheap kids 99p telescope and did get some magnification with it but not as much as yours, well done
I put mine on the back of my n95 but had to zoom in to the maximum to prevent the 'black tunnel' as seen in poisonwolf's second picture.
If you were to buy one, i'd make sure it fits properly so no extra zoom in is required.
Can't you just buy a something like a case mate and stick the lens on the cover?

yeah you could, but an extra layer could mean the magnet isnt as strong for it to stick. so i want to check if it were possible to fit on HD2 with out.
I've looked aound quite a bit for this but so far no go. The HD2 lens protection is moulded like a square blob. I doubt we can find anything that is manufatured with a square base.

but if you think about it. the camera is all round. just the outside is square, but therefore it is connected via magnet so i think regardless of square of cirle?
Anybody seen this?

However it says it does not fit US version ...
Whats the diffrence for the US version?
that's the questioni had too, since my understanding was there's no difference except memory. but who knows, I'm not the expert. maybe someone shed light on this matter for us.

has anybody seen a case like this??

I have a case for the nook color which I love. I'm putting some pictures in. Its made to stand alone in portrait orientation. Since I use my nexus for reading more than anything else I would like a case that is made for that. It's fine if you can put it in landscape mode as well but not required.
Not a rotating case. With most of, if not all, of the rotating cases they only work in portrait in one of the positions and that position it too angled for me. It's not comfortable so it's no good.
I have not seen a rotating one that can be used in MORE than ONE postion while in portrait mode so if you know of one that does so also let me know about it
thank you :fingers-crossed:

Hmm, that's a decent maybe. Though when the front is down it seems soft instead of hard which means it wouldn't be much protection in my backpack but thanks.

Doctor who/tardis Case

This is my review for a doctor who case that I bought from eBay. It fits nice on the phone even with the orzly screen protector. The camera bump is eliminated even if slightly, it's just right. The case is transparent but the back is matt. The only problem that I found is that the case in the volume rocker e alert slider zone is a little "loose", not too tight.
Sorry for the bad English and review.(this is my first
one)

Link is in the comments in the you tube video. Thanks! And here is a how to install video.
Link doesn't work for me... Maybe because I'm from the Philippines...
For those of you who purchased the screen protector. Please send me a message if you need a replacement. I'll work on getting it to you as cheap as possible. Thanks.
Hello everybody in an effort to continually improve. I have come up with some design improvements. Some of the items addressed were preventing snagging in pockets, and reducing the webbing thickness by 0.1 mm

Just ordered mine today! Thanks.
Hey everyone. 3.1 revision is out.
Cheers!
I think I have it set up now on ebay to accept international orders. heads up.
Cheers.

Hard to quantify... I've had reports of it saving the phone from an 8 foot fall onto concrete... The case needed replacing, but the phone was not damaged.
I got this case, i must say tho this really does protect the front screen. I didn't expect that a case is possible for the front screen.
Now, the problem with this case is the material. It's made from hard plastic, if left too long on the phone it unfortunately left a dent mark on the front screen frame.
If another version is made, it should use different, softer material.

Hey there. Would you be able to send me a picture of what you are talking about? I've been using this screen protector since December 2020 and have not experienced that problem.
The plastic case should not dent body or front screen of the phone. I would think only an impact would do something like that.
In other news... I am working on the Prototype with a different material.
