This might sound like a stupid question.... but did anyone figured out a way to clean the camera lens from the outside on the Xperia TL?
I mean it really annoys me, and when I try to clean it... the dust just gets collected around the the lens...
sooo yea....
Uh...have you tried wiping it with a soft cloth?

I had xperia Z for few weeks, one thing I hate to say is ,low ear phone out put and external speaker output ( I know Sony fans will hit me:angel
its probably the extra coatings to protect the water resistance. But in day to day life I find it annoying.I tried ZL -its louder.
One more thing is the level of heat xperia Z is making after some use, probably due to the tight enclosure.
So I am considering to swap it with ZL,but Z is better looking phone,am a bit confused here, please help me out, thanks in advance
In my place,I would never do that.
Xperia ZL have a plastic cheap samsungy look.
But if u find the flaps bad and the speaker low,do it.
I flashed zeroinfinity's sound mod and now it's great.

The speaker volume is related to the firmware!
Particularly, I found the volume of fw .350 higher than .434!
I will try out zeroinfinity's sound mod :good:
Will the Sony Xperia Z1 work in ocean water? I know it'll work in the shower, pool, etc. but I was wondering if anybody had taken it to the beach or gone snorkeling or swimming in the ocean with it yet. And if so, what was your experience with it? I am asking because I am planning on getting this phone and I currently have a waterproof Sony Cybershot DSC-TX20 and I've taken that thing everywhere and it hasn't failed me yet, so I'm curious if the Xperia Z1 will be more or less equal to the water proofing of the DSC-TX20. Thanks!
In the user's manual it us very clearly stated. No salt water immersion.
Sendt fra min XPERIA Z1 6903
Yeah...touch screen doesn't like salt
Maybe it'll work but you'll scratch your screen if you don't wash it right away...
But I wouldn't recommend that..

Wouldn't recommend it. The sea water is bad news for the rubber seals and will cause them to become brittle and fall apart. That's why u don't see many soft rubber things in the sea only hardened plastics.

Very risky, if you have a problem warranty won't works.

The salt water will corrode the exposed leads in the magnetic adaptor port.
How hard would it be to change a "pink" XPERIA ZR frame to a black one???
I can source a "pink" XPERIA ZR at a good price and I appear to be able to get a black Sony replacement case/frame for an XPERIA ZR from China.
Just wondering what I'd be getting myself into, if I attempt a "pink" for black frame swap.
If it means re-gluing a screen/digitiser, I'm not interested,
Also having to 'break' water proof seals may be an issue too.
I had a look around for an XPERIA ZR service manual but can't locate one.
Found a service manual in the XPERIA ZR general section so I'll start reading....
Any thoughts/insight into what a frame swap would mean, would be very helpful, thank you.
[Update]
Ah, crap. It looks like the screen is 'glued' to the frame and I'd need a "Disassembly Machine” to remove it.
No crazy people using hair dryers to pry the screen off on Youtube, so I'll put this in to hard basket.
Thanks though, sorry to just be talking to myself on a Q&A thread.
Wow. U're so brave.

Yeah this is right!
I also had a Xperia Z before, and i used to swim to it.
ITS NOT FULL WATERPROOF!
THE WATER MESSED UP MY CAMERA AND THE CAMERA WAS CAPTURING OR RECORDING EVERYTHING WITH BLACK DOTS OR PIXEL, WHICH WAS DIRT.
SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND USE ONLY FRESH N CLEAR WATER.
Hello,
so my ear speaker stopped working for some reason. I am going to change it, but i was thinking. I have Xperia Z C6603 at home, not working (water damaged, huh...), do you know, if it is the same component? So i can just switch the one from C6603 to C6903? If it is this simple, it would be just awesome. I don't feel like opening the Z1 again before i am sure i have the part (i put some really good glue there last time )...
Thanks for help
To anyone interested, it is a little bit different part, but it works like charm
