Infinite isn't a value bro. You can't say that you have INFINITE storage space. That's impossible in every way and breaks the rules of the universe and insanity. It would be better off having 99999999999 rater than infinite.
And it's - Raʾs al-Ġūl or Ra's al Ghul not Rhas Al Ghul

Okay.... I Suppose Its Cool As I Didn't Mention To Be Realistic
Thing Is... Your Phone Will Burn The F*** Down With 4x 2.5GHz Cores
You Could Make It An 8 Core @ 1.2GHz/1.4GHz To Preserve The Battery
And The PPI Looks A Bit Dodgy. But They Are Great Specs Nonetheless

Hello ! First,im sorry if im not in right section.I coming from Galaxy S Advance subforum.Soon i will sell my Galaxy S Advance for like 100-120 euro, then i must collect more 100-150 euro to buy a sexy Sony Xperia M2 which will be released in April in shops with price like 200-289 euro.Im still wonder which to choose:
1)Xperia M2 :
-sexy and premium design
-4.8" screen
-snapdragon 400 quad core 1.2 Cortex A7
-adreno 305
-8 MP camera
-but not water and dust resistant (i wanted just water resistant)
2) Xperia V :
-sexy design too,but i like more design of M2
-4.3" screen ( its little small for me because that navigation bar in touch)
-13 MP camera
-MSM8960 Snapdragon Dual Core 1.5 GHz Krait
-Adreno 225
-water and dust resistant
-cool video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sabceviTlEE (0:11 look awesome)
I saw on internet that a Adreno 305 + a good processor its same with a dual processor + Adreno 225.I dont know if its right, but what i know its that both can run all games
Xperia that i want :
-screen size like M2
-design like M2
-gpu and processor like M2 or Xperia
- 8MP / 13MP camera
-i dont really want water and dust ressistant, but if it provide more health of phone i want it.
Its hard to choose between these two phones.I want suggestions.
I would go for the newer one.
maybe take a look on the hardware size also. not only screensize. so if you are fine with a 140mm height^^... then guess nothing speaks against the m2?
xperia m2: 139,6 x 71,1 x 8,6 mm / 4,8"
xperia V: 129 x 65 x 10.7 mm / 4,3"
xperia T: 129,4 x 67,3 x 9,35 mm / 4,55"
by the way, the XT has 4,55" screen with under 130mm height. no idea why the M2 is so big. i wouldnt buy a 4,8" phone with such dimensions
but that just my personal taste^^
T,V probably end with 4.3jb. who knows. not sure about the M2.
Also you should compare the camera reports in the net.
besides that, i guess the XM2 is a good phone, if you prefer the omnibalance design over arc design.
you should feel them in a shop.
Screen resolution on M2 is mediocre comparing to V or T or TX.

Price depends on every country, and in Romania right now its 400-520 euros if im not wrong...And what worrie me at xperia Z its unremovable battery.
Now im wonder other things too: .
1.Whats difference between much and less ppi?
2.I searched on google but not so many results. A screen with 4.3",high resolution and high ppi its better than a screen 4.8" with low resolution and low ppi?
3.I saw somewhere on xda that xperia v (and others too or all if im not wrong) its sold with 3 variants of display: Sony,Sharp (something like this) and Toshiba (which is more bad than Sharp). How can i know if display its made by Sony when i go in a shop?
4.Noob question: Lets take M2 as e.g.If i change dpi resolution after i root it,will not be ok?Resolution from specs its not same with this one?
Xperia Z its perfect for me,but battery its unremovable and it worrie me. Also, its expansive in my country. Its still hard what to choose between M2 and V.
ppi - pixels per inch, aiming at ~300 is great, less becomes more grainy, more is overkill in sharpness. A 720p resolution screen at 4.3 inches (Xperia V) is 342ppi and a bit of an overkill in sharpness. Same resolution at 4.8 inches is 306ppi (Galaxy S3) and it's still sharp enough not to be grainy. Basically you're stretching pixels (making them bigger) with each added inch unless you increase resolution (and you cannot increase above max screen resolution).
1080p resolution at 5" inches is pretty pointless (consumes more power probably also, more pixels to display etc). At 7 inches it's pretty great, sitting at 323ppi (nexus 7 2013).
dpi is something else entirely.
edit:
Personally, I'd probably pick Xperia V from those 2, mainly for the ppi. Xperia ZR would be ideal. Xperia Z would be the next choice.
If you can get a ZR for the same price as M2 then i would go for that instead. ZR is like the V. It's waterproof, slightly bigger screen, way better battery life and quad core snapdragon S4 with Adreno 300.

Navbar takes about 1cm of vertical screen size. Don't know the inch tho.
However, there are several apps and mods around that allow a smaller navbar. So don't worry too much about that

1.
TFT:
+ much higher max brightness
+ more efficient on low brightness than led displays (with exceptions)
LED:
+ more contrast and color intensity (might even look unrealistic)
+ black themes save lots of energy, as the screen is practically off when showing black pixels.
3.
This waterproof thing is quite risky with all phones. The reason is that the charger cover looses its waterproofness with time. And how might you prove to Sony that the charger cover was actually closed when you put your phone into the water, while the indicator within the cover had turned red of water?
4. You can check by dialing *#*#SERVICE#*#* at the XV you want to buy. Then a menu will pop up and you just need to check the touch firmware version. If it's type b, you have the Sony display.
5. XV does have an ambient light sensor, however this one is only capable of registring values up to ~ 180 lux.
You will however not notice this issue when using the phone
Also, OTG should be possible, as I noticed the system app related to this.

1. Xperia V has a curved back, being 0.7cm high at the slimmest point. Also, there is some kind of dark silver colored frame on the side of the phone. I think the design is quite similar to Xperia L, however the pet button is a little different (small and in the same color as the silver frame, as opposed to the bigger on/off button of the 2013 Xperia devices)
If this doesn't answer your question, just check images on Google.
2. Don't know anything about M2 screen, but as XV screen is said to be extremely good, it's not so likely that M2 screen is better. But I don't know. ^^
3. This one is partially true.. When I started tweaking my phone some months ago, I managed to beat the S4 in 3D benchmark. So, compared to the device's resolution, the gpu is pretty good.
However, nothing really can replace a quad core. It's just faster.. The cpu is actually the only thing of my phone that I'm not happy with. ^^
The ui is still extremely smooth, however (thanks to the wonderful 4.3 update ^^)
4. Just write the numbers that are on the dialer keys, like you were typing on a t9 keyboard.
You'll have to check the M2 forums for this display stuff.
I only know the XV displays.
5. Well, I am sure I read the character b in a thread some time ago, but I can't confirm if the information given the is correct. (However, it is likely )
My advice: Get the Z1 compact, or a similar device.. M2 screen resolution is too small (imo), and XV cpu not too awesome
Also, consider that the battery and ram size of the devices are important when buying.
768mb as the XV has sound much, but 4.3 ram management is quite bad, and even with 4 apps in background, I have only 150mb left.. So check of M2 has more ram, it is pretty useful, also for playing games
And the XV's battery is quite small, it only lasts one day of normal usage for me. Or 2 hours of 3d gaming.

@WhiteNeo : Z1 compact have unremovable battery.Phones with this typw of battery worrie me... Still prety hard what to choose between V and M2...Im waiting for a review of display and then i will choose...
Thank you for answers guys !
I've been using Xperia V for more than a year now. I would recommend you to pick the V than M2. I compared my V with my friend's M2, V seems to have better sceen, a lil bit faster processor. But I have to warn you those water resistant cover are very easy to fail, mine failed after 10 months of using and I'm a very careful user though.
Hope this can help

My previous phone was Motorola Razr I..it had an intel CPU..since It was running stock-pure android it didn't lag..but not all apps are compartible with intel SoCs because it's architecture is x86... 98% percent of apps would work with intel and others will have bugs
Now, I read that MediaTek CPUs aren't good but I have never tested a phone with that cpu
If I were you and I was about to choose one of those 2 phones, I would pick the Asus just because it will get android 4.4
Hey everyone! Hope everyone here is having a good day. So what would you guys/girls like to see on a 2015 smartphone?
I personally would like to see these specifications/features:
- Dimensions/size similar to a Nexus 5
- Unique design that stands out from other smartphones
- 5" Quad HD display
- Front-facing stereo speakers
- 8MP front-facing camera
- 21MP rear camera with OIS + 4K recording
- Stock Android
- Physical home button with pulse notification LED on it
- Aluminium bezel with a soft touch plastic back
- A multimedia panel like the Galaxy Edge but something less pronounced
- Snapdragon 810
- 4GB of RAM
- Adreno 430
- 4000mAh battery
- 16gb - 128gb storage capacity
- Variety of colour options
Yes... A long list of configuration. Boring, I know. So I decided to make a video on this 'Dream Smartphone' of mine, which I called the '2015 Concept Smartphone'.
I am new user to XDADEVELOPERS, so I cannot post links. Dam. But if you type in 'XTPN 2015 Concept Smartphone' in your YouTube search, it should be the first video.
And please do check it out! It'll help a lot
On a side note, please excuse my poor video editing and 3D modelling skills. I'm a first Industrial Design student so it's kind of all new to me. However, I'm open to all constructive criticism.
Thank you for passing by,
Phil
I would like to see more 3D screens on the market!
Thank you for this thread.
Honestly, mine isn't impressive but I think it could be made as a budget phone like the nexus 5.
4.7-5 inch screen in Nexus 5 form factor.
Android Lollipop of course
2 GB of ram.
Latest quad core
Minimum of 13 Megapixel back camera, 2 mega pixel front. Hopefully Optical Image Stabilization.
Stock android (Play edition?)
Front speakers
2,700 Mah battery
32GB starting storage, expandable up to 128GB SD card
Pulse notification light.
Soft buttons or even capacitive keys
1080p screen. Don't really care for Quad HD or 4k or whatever. I'd rather have battery.
To me that would be a fantastic phone.
- I would like to see fully waterproof phone that can stay into the water up to 30 meters for an indefinite period of time
- Battery that lasts more than 72 hours even after heavy usage and charges within five minutes
- REMOVABLE BATTERY
- DUAL ACTIVE SIM
I hope I am not asking for too much!
@goro11
That would awesome. Maybe like a 3DS-Phone? If you get my idea.
@Whiplashh
Love a budget phone. I own a Nexus 5 myself! I don't mind soft buttons or capacitive buttons either. But from my experience, I want something like the iPhone (home button + power button). The power button on my Nexus 5 got jammed a few months ago and there was no other way I could turn on the device. Luckily I had 3 months left on the warranty and got a replacement (thanks Google). And this is why I dig the buttons of the iPhone.
I would like to see an upcoming focused more the battery life too. I want something that would last a full day with medium usage. Not a full day as in MORNING-AFTERNOON, but a full-full day as in MORNING-MIDNIGHT. This would be great.
@maheshpatel
Sweet. As for the waterproofing, not only should they improve the duration of underwater usage and depth. They should also make the touchscreen usable whilst the device is in the water. Because most of the current waterproof smartphone(primarily the Sony Xperia Z line) has an unusable touchscreen whilst immersed underwater. Unless there is a device out there that has this ability?
Thanks for the replies everyone!!

How about upgradable ram?
Sent from my D6503 using xda premium
I want to see:
HTC One M9:
Snapdragon 810
4Gb RAM
5.2, 2K display
13MP Back Camera, 4K Video 60 FPS
Even better stereo speakers with BoomSound
Even better sound in earphones
And be able to change HTC Sense on pure Android
5.7-5.9" (Anything below 5.7" = NOPE.)
4GB RAM
64Bit Snapdragon 810 or maybe even 815.
Adreno 430
32-128GB + MicroSD slot
21MP 4K OIS rear camera (I don't care about the front one, I don't do selfies.)
Preferably waterproof, but it's not a dealbraker.
So, basically, the Note 5.
HTC and Sony
I'd like to see HTC making some more phones except high-end ones and flagships, and also, I'd like to see black ui in sony's android 5.0 skin. 4.3 and 4.4.x is too....white-y.

to be honest, I would even be extremely happy with an HTC M7 with a 13 megapixel camera. That would be a fantastic phone I think.
Project ARA
By 2015 end well see Project Ara phones selling those are perfect for geeks
we know Basically phone features ,specs Revolve around the Chipset. example i prefer 810SoC to future proof it
Price ,availability are my concerns
if i could create $450 phone initially
then $250 bucks per year I think its great
But I'm still Concerned about Build Quality,Phone Looks, button placement etc
I would like to split the Chin bezel Of Sharp Aqueos Crystal and place it as fore head then
That would be awesome !!!!
Thank you for the replies and all your great ideas!

I'd like to see a very capable phone aimed at the masses (I hate being asked to pay more than a ThinkPad laptop for a sim-free phone - )
- 4.7"-5.1" display with MotoX/MotoG-like easy to hold curves and backing
- Full HD resolution
- Snapdragon 610/615 performance or better
- Adreno 330 performance or better
- 3GB+ RAM
- minimum 16GB internal storage free for user (not 16GB total, 8/9/10/11 or whatever free)
- water/dust resistance ~IP68
- 3200mah+ removable battery
- rear camera that is at least as good as the Galaxy S4/iPhone4 from way back when (including near-instant response and optical image stabilisation)
- at least dual sim dual active with one easy swap sim slot like Nokia Asha phones (triple sim dual active would be even better)
- hardware switches (could be inside battery cover) to enable/disable camera, gps, bluetooth, mobile data, wifi, microphone
- samsung-like hardware home button (with capacitive on either side or not)
- full kernel source code
- full android device tree source code
- source code for the binary blobs (drivers etc) we have to deal with now
I mainly want more variety @ the $350 - $400 pricepoint. I don't see the big names suddenly dropping their prices into this range but if they were to make a few cuts to their flagship's specs, it could work. As it has already been mentioned multiple times, Google's project is very intriguing. That would be great to see if get off the ground.

Totally understand and agree with what you said here. Most devices are like that and it sucks. Phone companies should make space for the pre-installed OS and other software's outside of the specified storage. If you get me.
@confed
Very true. I reckon the price tag of most devices turns most people off. That being said, I was hoping the N6 followed a similar price as its predecessor. I don't blame the rise in price, just disappointed a little.
Thanks for passing by everyone. And to those who haven't seen my video yet, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GZP5tiEko8
And finally MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM AUSTRALIA!!!!
Just curious as to what other N6 owners are looking for in the next generation (the one after 6P).
Personally, there was not a compelling reason for me to give up my N6 for the 6P, so hopefully next years model will be more enticing for me to upgrade.
My Wish List:
Same screen size as N6
64/128Gb (32 just isn't enough anymore)
Fingerprint sensor
6P camera, or better
Snapdragon 820!
I would also love to be able to swap batteries, and put in expandable storage, but I'm not holding my breath for that. Also, I just cannot go back to a 5 or 5.5" screen, the N6 has it right (go big or go home).
an 820, and its free
priced at around 400$
SD 820
4gb ram
6" screen
front speakers
removable battery
physical button below screen

Exactly what you said... I totally agree with everything including the same screen size and removable battery, perhaps an aluminum body and they could make it little thinner. Also I like the curved back in my hand but sometimes I wish it would sit flat on a table so I could set it down on a table and it would stay still when I touch the screen. Oh ya... More RAM I believe the more the merrier when it comes to RAM.
-6" screen, prefer LCD but I can live with AMOLED
-SD 820
-4 GB RAM
-USB type C
-wireless charging
-improved camera, especially in low light conditions
-thinner top and bottom bezel
-front speakers that don't collect tons of dust and lint
-FM radio
-notification slider like OnePlus 2
why lcd?

I'd rather not have to deal with burn in.
$500
Same soft touch plastic feel
6 inch screen
32, 64 and 128gb Configurations
Wireless charging and quick charge 3.0 through type C
Snapdragon 820
Fingerprint sensor
An RGB LED that works out of the box and supports custom colors better
3400 mAh + Battery
6p Camera or better
Sort of the basic list everyone has but, I thought I would chime in.
-small left and right bezels.
-Personally I'd love an excellent quality IPS display 4k? or 4k capable for videos or whatever 1080p scales great 2x2 4k pix = 1 1080p pix.
-screen doesn't need to nessecarilly get bigger...
-3D TOUCH almost forgot that.
-usb 3(.1) type-c.
-fingerprint sensor (built into the glass not likely I know).
-I'm ok with a 32gb storage but updated to NVMe >300mb/s >50k IOps. Apple has some nice results from this.
-faster faster faster encryption storage speed should be bottleneck not encryption.
-Qualcomm's best whether thats 820 or the 82000.
-MicroSD or some similar extra storage but treat it as separate as to not drag down performance with that NVMe storage (let me put my musics and those giant 4k videos on it).
-moar battery 4k screen = 4kmah battery?
-Front speakers of the upmost super duper quality.
-LED notification on the front since an LCD would kill ambient display kinda.
-IR thingy
-wireless charging with fast charging
Runnin' outa maybe almost pheasible stuff...
-a DAC?
-dual boot recoveries. (dual-boot the right word for that? probly not.)
-idunno 1000fps camera? (but srsly yea more slow mo c
-coffee maker
-wave hand over screen like moto x had.
-samsung pay-esque magnetic strip payments (i'd probably go unrooted for this)
-waterproof
-lazer pointer
-thought generator to think up more features...
I'd probably settle for a 820 in a n6p tbh Really would like that NVMe though.
A 4000 mAh battery for longer usage/standby time and T2W out of the box.
I am happy with nexus 6 for what it is at the moment but snapdragon 820 and 4000 mah battery would be my priorities.
How about a Nexus 6P only with a Nexus 6 screen?
Same sized screen. Base of 64Gb. Removable battery and/or SD card slot.
Wireless charging is essential, or I'd never consider it regardless of the other spec.
Charging/notification LED (that's actually supported).
Guarantee of no warranty issues if you choose to unlock the bootloader or root the device.
A really good camera.

My bad I thought the 6P had a slightly smaller screen. I like the 6P but it's too narrow for me, I wish it was as wide as the Nexus 6.
Something not Huawei.
nexus 6x made by apple in california assembled in CHINA
- Something better looking than the visor
- Qualcomm's quick charging, not whatever the 6p has
- Dual SIM (huge outside of the US in many other countries)
- Wireless charging
- Waterproof
- OIS
- FM radio
- Hi-Fi audio driver
- Google built
So, basically I just described... A metal built Sony Xperia with QHD AMOLED, comfortable to hold, dual SIM, and stock Android that will be the first Pixel phone.
