Yea, ppl have been getting bad batches from Poetic. It's good that they are replacing them, but should have gotten it right the first time around.

:laugh: I got it earlier than you. I did look for a very lightweight case for my Nexus 7 that a) did not add much bulk/weight and b) could be folded back so it could be held as if there was no case. And I am glad I did.
-The case is quite thin and the tablet fits nicely in it.
-The case is quite stiff and the corners are slightly wider than the tablet. I think they'll add extra security to the tablet if I drop it.
-The magnets in the cover put the screen in wake or sleep mode when opened or closed.

Recieved my case!
I recieved my case this morning.
First impression: Its excellent. The case is really slim as suggested by supcase. I like the overall feel of the case. Very compact. The tablet sits very tight inside which is something I was looking for. All the ports are exposed and align perfectly. The case extends a little towards the edges, which I think is really good for drop protection. The sleep magnet works as advertised and does not turn the tablet to sleep mode accidentally during use. It also has magnets to keep the flap shut. I am very happy overall with this case. Will post pictures as soon as I get back from work.

I was torn between this one and Poetic, because poetic is very nice too. But I think this one provides better drop protection than Poetic and hence I went with it.

The material is great, it has a no slip grip, the ability to stand sideways was what I wanted to watch movies and the price is exactly right! Easy access to all buttons on the tablet.

This case is by far the best case I have found for the nexus 7, it is incredibly thin and does not have any of the useless features, it does exactly what it is supposed to do and nothing more.
Hey guys! Made a quick video review of a new case I just got in today. It's like Samsung's Flip Case, but with some added protection and a magnet that keeps it from moving and opening up when you don't want it to. Definitely recommend it!

Yes, was thinking about this. Love my current Samsung Flip case but the lack of corner drop protection does make me a bit paranoid. I really wish someone made a case like this with a kickstand.

Exactly why I got this! And it'd be nice if it had like, grooves/pivots in the the case too to prop it up like Smart covers and my Nexus 7 cover.

Does the back feel cheap at all? I'm kind of a branding snob. Does the generic look take away from the quality? How does the hinge hold up when you fold the top back? Does it fold back completely and easily?
Does the magnet cause s pen issues?

Doesn't feel cheap at at all, the phone looks even better in my personal opinion when it's closed, holds up well and doesn't bother me at all either while typing.

Nope, the magnet is to the side of the screen, so no interference at all. And the link to do the case is in the info on youtube. Just click to expand. I'll post it on here soon, too.
One issue, though, is it can be a bit difficult to grab the Spen, so if you use it often, that could be an annoyance.

I have exactly the same case, but I would not call it luxury, either from the price (I paid $7 on ebay) or the quality.
OP's case does looks nicer and more premium than my similar case, mine even has Samsung on the metal magnet clip on the cover, but looks and feels like total crap, tossed it to the trash can as soon as I got it.
I'm currently waiting for Amigo flip case, looks super nice from the pic, no magnet though.

There's a few other listings of "luxury" cases
that look similar but aren't the same. If it I'd the same though, I guess it could be a matter of personal preference? I personally love the soft, textured feel of the case. Feels quite nice to hold.

The only complaint with the magnet I have is that it's blue, lol. Figured it'd match the rest. Luckily it's my favorite color.
Let me know how that case goes! I'm purchasing a couple more myself(different cases).

I have the same case as the OP and didn't notice until watching his video that the blue on the latch is only protective tape. I peeled it off and now it's a nice stainless/chrome look.
I can only grab the S-Pen with my little fingernail, but it should be easy enough to cut/file/Dremel the slot a little bigger if it's enough of a problem.

Useful review. Case looks nice, but sadly, once again they forgot to have a cutout for the notification LED. I'd also prefer cutouts for better access to the volume buttons, as I use those a lot as shortcuts and when playing audio (with cases closed).
Most (or all cases ignore this however, especially the LED hole). And it should have a larger SPen cutout like this one. But looks ok for the price.

I agree, having that would be very nice. I may have my dad just got one out himself, actually. I mean sometimes its nice cause I don't always like to see if I have a notification, but for that I could just turn the case over. And with the cover I wouldn't have to worry about getting any scratches.

Quick question to the OP and the other person who owns this case. What type of corner protection does this offer? What material is used for the part that holds onto the phone? Is it a hard plastic like PC or is it a softer Silicone/TPU type material?

Mine is plain hard plastic. Part of one corner is gone due to a drop from less than two feet.
Owned this for 2 weeks until it started affecting the spen area around the magnet. no biggie if you dont use the spen just something to consider.
Any word on a Borderline case for the M8, or any other minimal Bumpers?

Yes, Borderline series has a clear plastic back. I really just want a band that goes around the sides
I emailed them and they are not making a borderline case for the HTC One m8 at this time nor have any plans to make one.
Anyone found something similar to the Borderline? Tpu bumper, but just frame, not with plastic back?

I purchased the Supcase Unicorn Beetle case.
It has a translucent back, nice bumper around the phone, It makes the phone easier to grip, yet allows the great design to shine through.

I also have the metal/slate version. Don't know why the link defaulted to the beigeyGold option.
I don't remember what material the bumper was made from. I've only seen it once. It could have been metal for all I know.

That's also a nice one. Thank you for sharing. I'm always on the market for new cases, and I don't have a bumper case that I'm particularly fond of. This will be a nice addition to my collection. If you come across a case that is of comparable quality to Otterbox, that would be ideal. I don't have a case that I trust with my heart and soul quite yet

I was recently fortunate enough to be chosen to review a new case for the LG G4. I have been using a versus wallet case for my note 4 off and on (depending on work etc etc) so I was excited to try another wallet case!
First impressions of the case-
I received very quickly from Amazon and good packaging making sure case wasn't flattened. I think you can tell a lot about a product by shipper/seller's packaging. Very well packaged ready to go. I immediatley put my G4 (leather back edition) and it stuck like glue. I tried to get out and could not it was in there good, very good. Very impressed with the strength to hold it. Sold my leather back one and I currently now have a regular gray back one and it fits just as tight. I thought the leather one fit snugly because as you know the leather is a little thicker but both fit very tight and will not go anywhere. Leather is very nice and much better then my note 4 versus case. Feel is superb and it even smells like real leather!!!! Very impressive! Onto a little pro/con list for the Artech21 Full Leather Case.
Pros:
Feel of leather (best feel of a leather case)
Quality of leather (best leather on a phone case I have seen)
Stitching (some of the best I have seen)
Clasp (best I have seen, very small yet sturdy and hides away when case open unlike others)
Cons:
Cutouts by camera/volume buttons (short explanation needed here imo, just a little funky looking does not effect case or functionality just worth mentioning, could just be because it was one of the first produced)
Top/Bottom bezels are exposed (can't complain a whole lot here as my versus case on my note 4 is the same way and haven't seen another wallet case that is enclosed completely)
Neither are deal breakers

Personally I love the tan color some may not as they also offer a nice vintage brown (very dark color)

Notice the quality difference in the leather, Artech is much higher and not cheap like versus
Notice both are open at both ends. In a perfect world it would be closed all the way around the bezels
Notice how with the tiny clasp it sits flat compared to the versus note 4 case which will not lay flat

Just a note, when I received my case, the bezel is covered all the way around. I got the darker version, so not sure if it was a design change or variation. I'll be doing my review sometime soon.

Premium high quality leather much better then my pu leather versus case

If you care about protecting your phone and having a better grip, get a case. If you care about looks and a small footprint, get a skin.
I'm using both. Skin and case. I want to see phone in the perfect condition after months or year.

Skins you can get it from Gadgetshieldz, I was using it on my OnePlus 10 pro and the quality is good. I'm planning to get one for the Pixel 7 too so I'll send some images soon!

Can't recommend a skin as I don't use them, but I like the Caseology Athlex case I'm using. Caseology Parallax is also good. Spigen cases are also good.

Why a MagSafe case for a Pixel phone?
I got the phone skins on my Pixel 7 applied and it looks good! The skin's quality is good and I've used this on my previous phone too, it sticks well and I like the new look of my phone!
