[Q] How can I keep my htc vivid connected (via USB) in bootloader mode, it disconnects from my PC once it goes into bootloader mode, why? Can someone help?

Hi folks, after I install the android on my Sony X1, everytime I connect my phone to my computer via USB, the phone's screen will go off and never come back again until I take out the battery and restart into Windows Mobile. Is there a way that I can manage my files via USB? If so, how?

I have HTC One - rooted, S-Off with custom recovery. Yesterday I switched from Android Revolution HD into CyanogenMod11 and left the phone plugged into wall charger. Now I just cannot boot into the system, nor into recovery. Phone plugged or not, the green LED is constantly on and I cannot force reboot via PC. The device cannot be found. Any ideas? I don't want to use warranty in it's current shape, before reverting it to original state, but I'm cclearly unable to. Help much appreciated.

The computer cannot find the device in fastboot? Have you double checked drivers and the connection to the phone? I'm not sure how you can proceed if fastboot commands don't work...
You need to flash a new recovery somehow
I was flashing a new rom onto my HTC One today and my daughter got hold of it (Age 3) whilst my back was turned and has wiped the ROM completely!
I have TWRP v2.7.1.1 touch bootloader but I cant get a ROM installed - fastboot won't recognise that there is a device attached even though I get the 'connected sound' when I connect to my windows 8 laptop. I have searched for all the fastboot and adb solutions but have come to a dead end!
I think its dead! :crying:
Fastboot usb shows on the phone screen when connected though
the OS - on the fastboot screen shows blank too!

hey there guys.is there any other way around on upgrading Firmware version without using adb or connecting to a pc through usb? cause my M7 has an issue where it cannot be detected anymore (or so i know/havent found a clue on how to yet). Meaning, whenever i tried to connect it to a usb through a pc or laptop.it switches automatically to “usb phone host mode”,disabling the charging and stuff, i have to boot to safe mode just to make my phone charging enable again. ,so using ADB for me is kinda like not an option..so any tips,, thanks in advance

first of all, I tried to root my phone. but it didnt't ended how I expected.
I think that I deleted the os on my htc one. I tried to connect with my pc, but that's not going.
when I start my phone, everytime it get in the recovery mode. I had the idea to install the new rom on my htc but i can't connect with my pc. the pc sees the connection but it says: maybe your phone is locked/ has a code.. so please enter the code and unlock the phone to connect. but i'm in the recovery mode and I don't know how to do this.
does anyone have a idea how to start my phone normally? my data's on the phone are irrelevant.

What recovery do you have installed?
Information about the device.
Do you have the adb tools installed on a PC, if so the first step is to get he PC to connect to the device. Once connected provide the output from "fastboot getvar all"
