Nexus 7 vs Note 2 - Nexus 7 General

I picked up the 32GB 3G Nexus 7 just a few days ago, I also have a Note II which I've owned for a few months. I was wondering for a long while, is there any point owning the N7 if you already have a Note II? Here are my thoughts...
Gaming
I find the Note II much better for graphically intense games like NFS MW, it runs them all very smooth unlike the N7, especially since my Note II is rooted and both CPU/GPU are overclocked. This isn't really an issue for me as I didn't buy the N7 for gaming, but it has allowed me to free up some space on my Note II since I've installed all my 'less graphically intense' and 'smaller file size' games on to the N7 and deleted them from my Note II. They look nice on the N7's bigger screen.
Browsing
When I'm at home I find myself using the N7 more, the bigger screen on the N7 makes browsing the web better.
E-Books
This was one of the reasons I purchased the N7. The bigger screen makes it easier on the eyes for reading. Can anyone recommend me a good pdf book reader?
TV/Sky
Since my Note II is rooted, Sky Go will not work on it. I haven't and won't be rooting the N7 and Sky Go works! I've got the poetic slimline case, which has a built in stand, perfect for Sky and TVcatchup! :good: I highly recommend the case too, it offer good protection and adds little bulk.
Phone/Messaging
I was surprised to find that my 3G N7 which has a SIM installed, can receive text messages! I installed SMS Pro from the play store and I can now reply to the messages. It's won't be used as a phone but having internet on the go and being able to send and receive texts is a nice feature.
Conclusion
I think there is space for someone to own both devices. As I said, my N7 will be used mainly for TV/Sky and e-books, some light gaming and browsing. Whereas my Note II is used more for gaming and as an actual phone. Now all I need is the Nexus 10

I got both and I agree.
Gaming performance is no comparison, exynos quad completely destroys tegra 3 in pretty much every single game you can think of even tegra optimized titles. overclocked my N7 to 1.5ghz cpu and 520mhz gpu and it still can't keep up.
For web browsing, I do admit I use my N7 more at home because of the bigger display, even though the samsung browser runs as smooth as safari on iOS.
agree about ebooks. adobe reader (+ enable gpu rendering in developer options) if you want the smoothest & fastest experience. Or ezpdf reader if you want features.

I own them both, but I still think that 7" is way to small for a tablet to have the same browsing exp. as on PC, so I use my N7 as a phone, Note 2 just for calls so I plan to sell it

I use my Nexus 7 as a school PDF textbook (all 4 class books are on my note 2) and for Tegra only games. I browse forums in tapatalk and I also use currents from time to time. Other than that I use my Note 2 for everything. If I didn't use the N7 for text books, I could easily get rid of it without any hesitation. I still might, I believe a 8in or 10in tablet would serve my tablet needs better. Nexus 10 or maybe one of the new Samsung tablets coming out.

I also have both and agree with everything except playing games. I only do that on my nexus 7. Just got done playing Temple Run 2 on my Nexus 7. I use my Nexus primarily when traveling so my phone battery does not run down in the airport and on the plane etc. I am interested to see they will be announcing a Note 8 inch tablet at MWC in February. Gotta love the Note 2 and for the price the Nexus 7!

The Nook software is still the most functional ereader simple to do a bookmark and use it does side load books as well. I've tried some of the others and there a hella needless extra button presses required to bookmark or highlight text.
And who the crap is reading pdf books ugh epub is the best format.

I think once I've owned it longer I'll have a better idea, but I don't think it comes close to using a proper PC. I've ordered a second monitor, so I'll soon have dual Dell 24" screens, no tablet is touching that.

For games like Temple Run 2 it's fine, but when you try running games like NFS on both devices side by side, you'll know what I mean.

I'm new to e-books in general and pdf is a format I'm familiar with. Will look into epub thanks, and Nook software. :good:

A lot of academic books come in PDF format, although I go with epub if I can. Ezpdf is a good reader for PDF files.
Cool reader is great for epubs and is true freeware.
Finally mantano reader works superbly for both PDF and epub but it does cost a few bucks.

All I can say is I love the size of my note 2. I haven't purchased a tablet since I sold my touchpad. But the nexus tablets are looking good. Most of the time the tablet will be used by my kids anyway. This way my phone will be less likely to be damaged by little slippery hands. I just want the tablet to be just as good as my phone for gaming and graphics. Hopefully the next Samsung or nexus will be at a low price with great processor and graphics.

I use Aldiko on the N7 for reading both PDFs and epub books. i find it works very well, and I like it much better than Adobe Reader or various other PDF readers I tried, plus I can see all my books and magazines in one place on the Aldiko bookshelf. I like the way the page can be turned just by touching the edge of the screen, and the fact that it remembers where I was reading in every book without having to set a bookmark, though you can set manual bookmarks as well.
The other reason I use Aldiko is that it integrates very well with Calibre running on my PC, both by USB and WiFi. I keep all my ebooks, including PDF, in Calibre. Aldiko can download books over WiFi directly from Calibre's built-in private web server which simulates an online bookstore. It's really quick and easy to use.

I have both and now want to add a nexus 10

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, will go through each one and hopefully find a reader I like.
I got to try my N7 out today as a satnav device as I went on a relatively long trip. Google Navigation worked perfectly, I had data on the SIM so could download maps as I was going. Just need a car mount that will hold this beast.
Oh and as for adding a Nexus 10 to my collection, won't be happening for a long while yet. I've just picked up a second 24" Dell monitor for my desktop, WOW.

How do you plan to use it? (with your phone)

How do you plan to divide the usage between your phone and Nexus 7?
First, of all, right now I have 3.7 inch Desire S. Which is why I think the pair of combination will be perfect.
When the Nexus 7 comes, I will put all my ebooks, comics, movies & shows, pictures, and games on it. Web-browsing will also be done on it. I also can put documents for school to read on it. It will become a total media consumption device.
As for my phone? It currently holds all my music, and I use it as my mp3 player wherever I go. Even with the Nexus 7, the phone will be better as an mp3 player because it is smaller, and I can hold it in my hands and pocket easily. Of course the phone will also be used to message, and talk. 3.7inch is perfect for this, as I don't require any media consumption on it.
Whala, I have 2 devices which are perfect for their own use. 7 inch is better for media consumption, and webbrowsing. Phone for communications and music.:good:

I'm planning on doing the same as you. Unless I can't bring my tablet with me, of course. I'd imagine it would be damn good for browsing xda-developers.

plan on making this my reading and gaming device so I dont have to worry about the battery on my S3 dying.
I will use my Galaxy Nexus for phone calls, texting, and navigation like I do now. The Nexus 7 will mainly be for gaming and reading. The Xoom will be for heavy duty stuff...web browsing, productivity, etc. The Nexus 7 will probably never leave my house. Since it's WiFi-only, it really has no use for me away from home since I don't visit very many places with public WiFi.

Not yet sure if I'll be getting this but I'm in dire need of a 7in tablet. (Had a Witstech a81e that I got rid of about a year ago and I've been without one ever since.)
If I do get a Nexus 7 it'll be for book reading, internet browsing, and movie watching.
If it's able to mount flash drives and the like then I'll probably try booting Arch Linux or Backtrack.
If it's about to mount removable storage AND has a better DAC than my Galaxy Nexus then I'll use it for listening to music. I don't have a very large collection but half of it is in flac and I'm slowly buying the albums that I don't own so that I can rip them in flac as well. That puts my collection at just over 25GB as is.
I am actually considering selling my e4gt buying a little POS phone and using this as everything else I'd need I work in a hospital so there is always a wifi connection there and same thing at home. I really looking forward to seeing this in person.

Yeah, I definitely have that option. Problem is, the battery life on the Galaxy Nexus is horrendous enough with LTE on. Don't know if I want to add WiFi hotspot on top of it. hahahaha Of course, I could always turn off LTE while tethering and just go with 3G...except that 3G speeds here in the Durham, NC area are atrocious. I don't think I've ever topped 650kb/s down on a 3G connection. I could tether it to my Xoom, which is much better on battery when LTE is on, but if I'm going to bring my Xoom out with me, why do I need to bring the Nexus 7 too, ya know? haha

I'll use my Nexus S for calls, texts and music and the Nexus 7 for everything else.
I'm hoping the 5 month wait endured for the Nexus 7 will be worth it.
Nexus 7:
Reading, games, web browsing, gtalk/skype and email checking at home with the nexus 7
Movies when on the road the Nexus 7.
Teamviewer to check in on the R+D PC test suite.
Developing Android / Labview integration on the Nexus 7 for R+D at work - start to bring tablets into the workplace for product R+D, test and control.
Windows Laptop:
for overnight trips for video and serious stuff (HDMI out too).
Phone (HTC sensation):
MP3, phone calls, IM, email, capture of photos / video on my , wifi tethering to nexus 7.
Unfortunately (youre going to say.. what?!), I have an HTC One X. Yep, lol. I feel like I should just downgrade my phone, but only if there is a viable option out there at around 4 inches. I say unfortunately because my phone is already large, so it wont be a huge upgrade in size
So between my phone and this tablet, phone will handle of course calls, and everything I do outside of my home.
The Nexus 7 will handle when I check email/news/etc after waking up in the morning or before going to bed, media streaming, gaming (it should be easier to play on the larger screen), basically anything at home not involving phone calls. Most importantly, I plan to bring it to university as I'm expecting to have to stay 8-10 hours a day there.
I'm gonna mount the sucker in my car. Tether to my AOKP i777 for extra awesomeness.

Good luck on HBO Go or MAX Go. Those don't work on anything bigger than phones. I find it offensive that it still isn't available on a single Android tablet, regardless of screen size. I know they just released HBO Go (but not MAX Go, wtf??) For Kindle Fire, but it'll probably be months before they would consider allowing it to run on a Nexus 7. I'll stop there but suffice it to say that as an HBO and Cinemax subscriber, it annoys me that the Go experience is available on the iPad but not a single Android tablet.

[Q] Considering the Nexus 7

Hi all, I'm looking for a new tablet and I'm thinking the nexus 7 may be the one. Currently, I only plan to use it for university and not much else, but before buying one I wanted to ask a few questions:
I need to be able to view and edit PowerPoint and Microsoft word files, does the nexus 7 support these capabilities?
Can I use drop box on the nexus to transfer files between devices?
Can I purchase an external keyboard to use, as I will be typing a lot in a short period of time and if so, where could I buy it from?
Is there any other tablet around the price of the nexus I should also consider?
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help, it would be greatly appreciated

- About powerpoint and word files compatibility is not depended on hardware it's on software so check Google Play apps.
(My personal best choice is Kingsoft Office - https://play.google.com/store/apps/...=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNuLndwcy5tb2ZmaWNlX2VuZyJd )
-Yes there is an app for that called Dropbox. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5kcm9wYm94LmFuZHJvaWQiXQ..
-Search eBay ( http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=nexus+7+keyboard&_sop=12 )
-Hundreds of them but the question is can they provide a good quality as Nexus 7 can ? (Speed, specs, build, support )
Thanks heaps hreidmar kingsoft seems to be the app I was looking for, I didn't want to have to get a windows tablet.
As with the last question, I should have phrased it differently, but essentially for my needs: would you recommend a nexus 7 tablet with a keyboard or should I go for something such as a netbook / chrome book (with a budget under $300)?
Also, i currently have the galaxy s4 as a phone, if that matters at all when it comes to choosing, such as getting the galaxy tab instead.

Chromebook or netbook if you are doing school work

Is there any specific reasons as to why a netbook or chromebook would be better? As far as I can tell, it's the same except the tablet does not come with a permanent keyboard (I'll get a blue tooth one).
I've never really enjoyed the experience of windows 8, so if i do go with that OS I'll probably stick to windows 7 or earlier

A 10" tablet + keyboard or a proper laptop would be my recommendation.
A 7" screen is just too small if you're doing a lot of typing or graphical work. Netbooks have had their day, most modern tablets are better spec'd, handier and more portable. A laptop will be much more powerful but you lose a bit on the portability side and might have power issues during a long day.

No idea m8 sorry, I don't know what is available in Aus or what the prices are. One option would be to save up for a bit longer though, A$300 = about £184 which isn't much when buying technology over here.
Remember too that if you do buy a tablet the case and keyboard will be extra.

For productivity I would stick with a windows machine.
The N7 is great but it's a toy compared to a PC. I use kingsoft and it is the best on android but it is no excel. If you are going to build complex spreadsheets it will restrict you. It's more designed to view and edit documents rather than build them.
Also android has no native support for proxy over wifi so if your uni uses a proxy you won't be able connect to their network without rooting.
In my opinion an entry level laptop is a better choice for study.
dont be a fool. the new nexus 7 is just around the corner
Got a nexus 7 (an Aussie like you) and while it's good for slides and all, comes up short if you want to do much else besides really really basic notes. I would probably save a few hundred more and get an entry level ultra book or something like that. It'll be much more useful in the long term. Trust me on this one.

If you want a leisure computer with top notch productivity and the ability to run some work programs then you should stick with Windows 8. Why not try Acer's new 8 inch model coming out.
If you want a leisure computer that is a peripheral to a real work machine (a desktop or laptop) that you might just do a little document editing on then the Nexus 7 is the better choice.
Weigh how much you're going to rely on the device for getting things done.

yeah kingsoft did seem quite slow when I tried it on my phone :/ no idea what my university uses, but others use iPads just fine there. Kingsoft although the most full featured free office app on android it is also the most laggy.
If your getting 300 get it as a gift card for a local or online store so you can contribute your own money towards a win8 machine.
Android is not a desktop or laptop replacement. As said before it compliments one well but I can't imagine using a mobile OS for my main computer through uni. Would have driven me nuts!
Even for not taking I believe paper is better as you have the freedom to combine words with diagrams and formula much easier.
Tablets work better in a corporate environment for emails and reviewing documents. When studying I think this technology can get in the way of learning and becomes a distraction.
My opinion obviously YMMV

I'm looking into purchasing a Nook HD+ tablet. I've played with it in store and it seems like a great buy, especially for the price. I'm a college student and would be using it mostly to view textbooks, take notes, and light game/movie usage. I'm looking for an under $200 tablet and I think the size is perfect (I'm not a fan of 7" tablets). Overall it seems almost too good to be true.
The reviews are mostly positive from what I've seen, but I'm really curious on the longevity of the tablet.
How long have you had yours, how do you feel about it/was it worth buying, and how well is it running after how long you've had it?
Thanks!

Longevity seems pretty good my wife's is a year old no issues still working great. My first one lasted about 7 months and then it lost a fight with a flight of concrete and steel stairs, any tablet would have failed believe me it was almost 20 feet of bouncing. My second one is a refurbished unit I have had it for about 6 months no idea how old it really is and it is working great still.
As far as light gaming and movie viewing it is awesome. I have the hdmi plug and use it to stream movies all the time. I read on it all the time I can't imaging you having an issue with text books as I read books, magazines, and comics all the time with no issues. There are faster devices out there but not at the same price.

Thanks for the prompt and helpful response! Have you noticed any sort of "lagginess" when you don't completely end a program (pull up the active program bar and swipe them away)? I was playing with one at Target and it was very laggy, but when I cleared out the dozens of apps that were currently open, it seemed to run more smoothly. Granted this thing has probably been abused for however long it's been on the display case and by many people, but I was just curious if you've had any sort of problem like this.
If you expect the same performance as an iPad you will be disappointed. It is about 90% in speed and polish for less than a third the price. I don't have much lag but I keep all my stuff (movies, books, music...) on the external card and I think this eliminates 90% of the lag others see.

Lag is normal for this tablet due to chipset. If you're willing to root, lagfix application fixes the issue by using trim. I run the latest cyanogenmod on my tablet and I love it. I read comics on it daily! Rooting, changing from stock rom to cyanogenmod 4.4 and lagfix, if you have the appropriate chipset makes this tablet a lovable beast of a beauty. I use it for word processing with a Bluetooth keyboard as well. Had it for 9 months and I love it. Would only stop using it for a nexus 10 level screen with an intense graphic processor and expandable storage. But honestly not looking to spend $600 for a tablet, so this is my go to device. I have a nexus 7 2012 that I honestly use solely to read novels and play a few Tegra processor based games. I like the 7 inch for reading novels, but use my Nook hd+ for everything else!

Have had mine for about a year. I rooted and flashed a custom ROM immediately. It is an OK tablet for average use with some lag. A good deal at the price but far from being a top product on the market

Thank you for all of your responses! To go along with my original question, how is the responsiveness to using a stylus for notes? Someone was telling me they didn't care for the ability to write on it, but they didn't provide much more detail than that. What are your thoughts? Especially with google play compatability, I'd think there are some good note taking apps (recommendations possibly?). I'd mostly be taking notes on top of PDF versions of slides my professors put out. Thanks again!
Using a stylus is not great at least the one I tried. My Note 2 is much better but then again that was built to use a stylus. Typing is very doable on it I do that in meetings all the time.

I will echo what the previous post said. Not that great with a stylus but as far as bang for your buck goes you can't beat this thing.

Does that depend on the app as well or just not good in general? Even with a pointier stylus than one of those wider ballpoints?
I only tried the one it is one of those freebies Amazon gives out with other things. I actually got it free with a case for a tablet I gave to my daughter. Works ok for general navigation. My mother in law uses the same type for everything on her nook she doesn't like using her finger but she doesn't do any type of note taking just reading and light game playing.

I have a Nook HD+ running CM11 and an LG G Pad 8.3 GPE. The former has an 8.9" screen but is sluggish even with trim, and the latter has an 8.3" screen and is silky smooth. As of last week the G Pad GPE is $225, so it's only a bit more than the HD+ (assuming it's still $180). I use the HD+ to read comics and the G Pad for everything else. My $0.02 on the HD+ and something similar.

Did you get the G Pad on sale? I'm seeing it from $279 online (best buy). I'm nearly positive I'm going to go with the HD+ though. I've been doing app research and I think I've found apps that'll fit my need on it and I don't need it to be super powered.
I did hear from a different forum somebody talking about being able to buy it, play with it during the return period, and then returning it if i don't like it. Is this true? Where would allow that? I would have thought that once it's opened, it can't be returned.
Barnes and Noble and Amazon both have really good return policies. Just double check when you buy it.

I've had mine for a year now and I'm fairly happy with it. Like some, I rooted and put CM on immediately. Performance is okay, if laggy at times, but the 1920x1280 screen is great.

Thank you for all of the help you've provided. I appreciate it greatly. I was talking with a colleague of mine about this and he brought up a good point about B&N getting out of the tablet game. Will there still be support/will I notice they even got out of the game? He was saying to watch out for it to soon become obsolete and be careful of hopping on the train right before the final stop.
What are your (and everybody's) thoughts on that?
Thank you again!
Pretty sure you're going to install CM on it soon as you get it, so no I don't believe you'll even notice the B&N are out of the game, as you put it
As the others say, there is a teeny bit of lag but the screen/battery life/sheer functionality you get more than make up for it.
One thing I sometimes wish for is GPS, but for the price really you're getting so much more than you're paying for.
They will continue to provide support through the warranty period and after that well you still have the forums here. The product works well enough as is and they haven't stopped selling content so it should be good for a while.

I bought 3 HD+ a year ago and all are still good running cm11. One is used as a DVR recording 2 cameras on motion to emmc. It's still alive but might break sooner (hope it doesn't).
The touchscreen is not that good, maybe because I use a screen protection.
Sometimes, alternating between apps (chrome, office) may be a bit slower. I used to use Swiftkey as custom keyboard, but aosps one is much lighter.
I've had my HD+ for a year and a half. Still loving it. Right now I'm running PAC-ROM on it and not having any real issues. I only update the ROM every month or so. But it's great for videos, surfing and reading. Still have no complaints about it and as long as trim keeps running, it doesn't lag too much.

Tab S for University studies

Hi guys I was wondering if this tablet in the 10.5 version paired with the logtech type S, was a choice for University, I need something light to be very helpful, powerful.
Plus I would add an annual plan of 200€/yrs for 20gb of data in 4g speed
Do u think its a good choice or not, my budget is around 4.0/450 for the tablet only
I would definitely recommend it but a MacBook Air at 999 dollars would be a better option though. The tab s has the best screen right now in the market for tablets and laptops. Samsung's built in file manager app my files is also very useful for organizing stuff in your tablet. Battery life is excellent and will certainly last you one whole day o heavy use.
Don't do it, I tried to use my Asus Transformer to take notes and stuff a few years ago when I was in college and it was just a headache because no matter how nice Google Docs is, it just doesn't compare to Word. I just kept getting frustrated/sidetracked and would end up playing games or browsing websites lol Android also doesn't function like a desktop/laptop OS so when you try to use it as one it just adds to the frustration. Granted the Tab S and Logitech keyboard (I have those also) are newer than the TF101 (actually liked that setup better TBH) but it was running Honeycomb so that had something to do with it.
Even though I love everything to be digital, after my 7 years in college I still found that the good ol' pen and paper was the best route. If you want to digitize your notes get a smart pen that does OCR and can upload your documents to your PC or get a Moleskine notebook that works with Evernote.
Yes a tablet is not as good as a laptop. Hardware, software and ergonomics so much better on a laptop like macbook pro or air. For simple notes it's fine or audio, video recording for transcription.
I had Asus transformer with Android os and the keypad and it drove me nuts.

I'm actually on the other side of this fence, I'm a university student and I use my tablet (galaxy tab S 8.4) for notes with a Jot pro+ and an app called Papyrus, using a keyboard for classes where there isn't a lot of fancy script. Seeing as I'm currently running through calculus, chemistry, and physics though hand writing my notes works best, and Papyrus can write up PDF's nicer than anything else I've tried.
If you like notes from scratch, google docs does indeed work excellent, and Hancom office works even better (which comes with the tablet) and can sync with google drive anyway.
I've also gone through a year using my ipad mini for notes which also worked great since I had a zagg keyboard case for it and it was essentially a mini laptop, sold it because I sold my laptop and wanted something bigger... ended up with something the same size. IF you do prefer hand written notes: Buy an ipad and a jot pro script (the fancy $75 version with palm rejection). My answer is a non-conductive glove and a standard stylus.
Or, but a galaxy note 8, NOT the note 10, I used that one for a semester for notes too and couldn't take it, the screen is way too low res however with Papyrus it might work out a lot better than it did before because S note sucks.
That said, if you prefer typed notes, a laptop is probably your best bet, but tablets are generally longer lived as far as battery goes, and usually cheaper, while being similarly capable for text notes.

Nexus 6 replacing iPad

So I've found myself using my Nexus 6 for more and more, while us in my iPad for less and less since owning the N6.
I'm highly considering selling my iPad, but am wondering if I'm just still in the "new phone" phase of the N6, especially since this is the first phablet I've ever owned and still very new to me. Have any of you owned a phablet for longer and gotten rid of your tablets? Did you regret it or find that it was the right move?
The only thing I know I wouldn't like using my phone for would be reading books, but I would get a Nook for that purpose, so that's not holding me back as much as just the better experience using a tablet may offer over a phablet.
I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of anyone who has made the switch entirely to a phablet from having a phone and tablet previously.

I have had the Samsung Note and Note 2 and 3 and can tell you that I use both my laptop and tablets far less today than I ever used to ..this large phone has truly changed the way I use computing devices.
Nexus 6 is a great phone with lots of fun hacking ahead !

I thought I would use Nexus 6 to replace my Nexus 7. Sorry, it just won't. It's not quite big enough for me to do that. Movies, reading books, Web browsing I still prefer the Tablet.
I'm going to sell my Samsung Tab 3 7" as I never use it now. The Nexus 6 is perfect for anything I used a tablet for, plus it's a damn sight quicker!
I have an iPad mini wifi only and I have very little use for it now myself other than the screen is big enough for me to want to play games on it more so than my iPad. Overall I wouldn't object to selling it though

I had an iPad and then other tablets like galaxy tabs. Then I bought my note 3 and now a nexus 6. So I sold all my tablets. I use only my nexus 6 and my macbook.
{Nexus 6 - Tapatalk}
I still use my Galaxy 10.1 when I'm home. Nexus for everything else
I use my iPad Air all day at work, mostly because it allows me to browse forums, read news etc on the sly. Lol iPad's are issued to some employees. So it's not noticeable for one to be using theirs throughout the day. But I pretty much use only my N6 when I'm at home or anywhere else.
I use my note 10.1 still, larger content, spen, and its great to use so I don't drain the battery.
Having an iPad is cool because you have apps that are not on the play store yet, and some that will never be
I still use my N7 at home for media consumption, in the car for accurate speed (I have a 71 Super Beetle), GPS navigation, and media, and out in the field for RDP/VNC, work stuff, and communication.
I had a tiny phone before the N6, and as a result, took my tablet everywhere and used it for everything except phone calls. Now, unless I drive somewhere myself, the tablet stays home.
