Developers primary is CM10.1 for now.
Cm is based on aosp, any change made on aosp is reflected on cm repo
Yeah, once we have CM 10.1 working... only then we can go for AOSP or Paranoid or other custom ROMs that requires CM as the "Base" ROM...

That isn't true. AOSP, PA etc are built from source!
It's just that they share the device tree. And cm is easier than others
I do not respond to tech support via PM

Keep in mind CM ≠ AOKP, and without a fully working ROM Control...well, that's AOKP's essence. Romanbb and company are working on it. Patience is a virtue.

tried this.. i think uploaded the wrong rom.. it is actually kallt_kaffe's 08-08-2012 7310 build..
Kk's CM10 build was sweet. I also tried the aosp jb version and I like the rom too. I am actually waiting for the first of either one to get updated so that we have a fully functional and stable rom of jb. Right now both rooms have its shortcomings. But it's better than the stock honeycomb version.

Hey guys, I know this is probably a dumb question. But it is better to say oh well than what if.
Can i have cyanogenmod 10.1 and badseed kernel running together? I have a Sprint HTC One I have S-Off and write protection disabled fully rooted.
No. CM is AOSP and badseed is made for sense roms. With CM or any AOSP based roms you have to use an AOSP based kernel.

Well, they do exist or we couldn't run AOSP ROMs on our devices. No dev has made a flashable zip of thier AOSP kernel available for our device.
Sorry, I thought custom/separate kernel was implied.
Thank you!
Thank you guys so much, I just had to make sure i had that cleared up. This community is the best.
Hi guys! Im curious why our monster device dont have too much ported roms though it is possible? is it because there is only few users? I want to learn how to port roms for our device. Im reading a tutorial here in XDA and have a porter friend from my past device. I asked him to port roms for our device like slimbean, carbonrom, Pac etc. Hope this device gets more attention from the rom makers

I will help you as much as i can...will share links which i have read to port MIUI V5 for our device...
And the reason that our device does not has many roms is that it was not released globally like the S3 or S4...
It is actually local only to Korea...and still many have managed to get it...
And its good if we all work together as a team ... we sure will have many roms for our device too....:good:

Yup, even i am referring to the same guide...
Now as far as i know we do have a clean CM10 as base for SHV-E120L & SHV-E120S both...but we dont have a pure clean CM10.1 for either of the devices...
But we do have Mokee OS 4.2.2 for both of the above mentioned devices...and i even tried to take CM10.1 from Cyanogen mods website and take Mokee OS as base to port the latest to CM10.1 and have a running CM10.1 but i never succedded...
And i was also wondering if you know what is the difference between these 2 devices...
Thanks
Thats what i dont know. Im just a new user of this device. If we have clean CM10 then we can port 4.1.2 roms. but not 4.2.2. It's OK there are lot of nice 4.1.2 roms out there Can u give me the link of the clean CM10 for SHV e120L?

Yeas there is Mokee 4.2.2 and ive tried it. Its base on CM10.1. We must first know what did the porter used as a base to port Mokee 4.2.2.

OK, check these links
This link contains pure CM10 compiled by Socim:

And this link contains a spread sheet which mentions most of the roms that exist for our devices...

Hope this helps...:good:

Sorry to ask for this, I know I should install and test for myself the rom,
But I just would like to know how is the battery life on this rom?
What about the power button? Does it work properly? Because I had this issue on android 4.3 based rom's.
And the camera? Clear images and sharper?
Thanks in advance!
Best Regards from Brazil
By the way, in my opinion android 4.2.2 is the most stable atm

Build that we currently have ported by Demetris is 4.2.2 and for me it is the best custom rom out there.Camera and battery are great even with stock app and stock kernel.Alwayse switching between MIUI and LiquidSmooth.Flash it and test is for couple of days yourself and see if you are satisfied.
Greetings from Serbia
what bugs does it have?

it's also not hard for the devs to just put them in the OP but they all seem scared to admit there are bugs on this forum

It's even easier for YOU to test it yourself. Backup your current setup and flash it. Most of the mentioned bugs aren't even for everybody and it is actually quite hard for the devs to make a full list of bugs which occur for every single user.
If you don't agree with that it's your fault. The devs are doing an awesome job here and they do it because they want to.

In my honest opinion, bugs should be on the OP if they are known bugs. It's a matter of structure and information. But that's just me
From what I understood, carbon is a "fork" from Liquid and I think it's a compilation from source and not a port, right? If so, is it possible to compile Liquid from source as well ?
This question is for someone who knows or a developer

They stated that Carbon rom doesnt have anything to do with liquid team. Also if you look at title on older liquid builds by demetris you will see it says "Official" so i think it is possible to compile from source.Asked demetris long time ago about liquid future for our phone but still no answer.

No, they stated the following:
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. The team is composed of former members of Team Liquid who have forked the code in an attempt to bring greater speed, better coding, and full authorship to code. We are in no way affiliated with Liquid0624. The rom was forked at Liquid beta 3.2.1 and has since undergone major code changes and modifications.

They "forked" the code, although it was changed a LOT, a fork is a fork
Anyway, I'm gonna have a look later on see if Liquid can be compiled for our p880.
Thanks dimi :good:

No,THANK you man Someone sayed that all 4.2 builds are much better then 4.3 roms builds and i agree on that.
Far as I understood the source is published.
Will see what I can do during the weekend
https://github.com/LiquidSmooth/android
And yeah, I agree, I'm pretty happy with CM10. 1.3. Although I do miss the privacy features from 4.3.
Mods can lock and delete this since demerits answered our prayers and ported new version.

First of all, this is NOT a request to developers to leave everything and start making AOSP ROMs. I am just curious why we have almost none or at least not fully functioning AOSP ROMs. The ones I tried, SpaceCaker's AOSP GB and the 2 AOSP ROMs from Maclaw, were great. Don't get me wrong, I like the CyanogenMod ROMs, just curious why AOSP gets overlooked. Are they harder to build than other ROMs or are people really not into them? Appreciate any input.
Also, if anyone knows of any AOSP builds besides the three mentioned (SpaceCaker's AOSP Gingerbread, Maclaw's AOSP ICS and Jellybean), I would be grateful if you would share them. Cheers!
I agree with you...there aren't much aosp ROM for our Ace although there are the best ROM that works smoother...but on the other hand there has much less function compared to CMs ROM...so maybe people want CM more..
What do you want more? I mean we have one aosp for gb, ics and jb.
If a developer would make another aosp rom, it would be more or less the same rom.

It is not a matter of "want". As I stated in my thread, this is not a request. I was just being curious, to be honest. Maybe, I was not clear. I also meant that AOSP ROMs are not used as base ROMs. Maybe, CM is more favorable towards that. Anyway, thanks for the input, valid point you made,

it is because aosp is based purely on armv7+ devices and not armv6
and cm is adapted to support ore types of sockets and such
wich is why its easier to build cm then aosp
