Anyway my story is that I had a beautiful nexus 4 that I bought in December and yesterday the screen was shattered when my friend accidently dropped it..Yes Yes I know. The eautiful nexus 4. Anyway Sending it for repair is a nail-biting option ,one where i am not so sure everything will actually be repaired.(Some guys got a debug rom installed instead of the stock google firmware after repair. We can flash the stock one back though).Anyway I just called the LG india mobile repair center office no that I got from their customer Care, and he said "Sir,We do not service the Nexus 4 model in India as it has not been launched".Hold your Breath!"However If you can wait, it will launch in India in 2 weeks and then we can proceed with the screen replacement process".The lady who picked up the phone was aware of the nexus 4 but said she had to ask somebody else about it and that somebody was the guy who told me the launch thing .Yes I know take this with a bucket of salt. But the fact of the matter is that if the repair center guys knew about the nexus 4(They are not sales guys!), I really believe then that there is a significant possibility that yes they have already started the process of bringing it to India.Anyway for those who wanted to see how bad my screen is cracked here it is.Yes I used a case and no I didn't use a screen protector and no I have no idea why it cracked so bad.It did fall on concrete face down.

I've had Galaxy Note since February of 2012......Had it replaced three times under warranty through AT&T for same problem. (At least AT&T overnighted the replacement unit got it today)
All the note I had loved to shut off automatically and randomly........
1) Whenever I pickup a call, the phone shuts off (all the time)
2) It reboots by it self inside my pocket
3) It reboots by it self sitting while sitting on my desk
I see a lot of Note user are facing this problem........is there any solution? I've tried couple stuff that was posted on numerous posts.
Also what should I do once my warranty expire? I have 90 days under this refurbish warranty....original phone was till February 2013.... not sure when will it expire.
I've called: AT&T Customer Relation, Customer Service, and Warranty Department as well as Samsung Tech Support. (The only thing I got $25 credit towards my bill)
A Gentleman from Warranty Department told me that he always see this problem.........he sent me a replacement unit immediately and even offered if I wanted to get replaced with Galaxy S3.....unfortunately Note 2 was too new to be replaced......but still I have asked to get Galaxy Note.
Spoke to Customer Relation...what a awful service this guy said "I have Galaxy Note but never have problem" and accusing me for dropping the phone and etc........that the reason I've got $25 credit to my balance. (I could have got more but was too tired to fight for it)
Samsung told me that if I face this issue call Samsung again and they will fix it.. But I will be without a phone for roughly 1 week to 2 week.
What should I do after my warranty expire?
Honestly, i do believe most of us do not having this problem if on ics or gb stock rom.
Do you check with samsung service centre what they did to repaired or solve your problem?
Did samsung change any hardware? Or either update your software only?
If samsung only update your software, it might be hardware problem. In other way, if samsung did change your hardware only, it might related to kernel/rom problem.
If samsung did both. Just go there again and request new handset.
Keep all the repair receipt as record. If samsung refuse to replace new handset when problem still exist. You might need all this record as proof for complaining to consumer body.

Samsung did not repair or replace anything on my Galaxy Note.
ATT replaced my phone with their refurbish one all three times.
I might send it to Samsung next time I have this problem.......
thank you
if its random reboots, its worth trying a different battery
lol there is something you are doing that is wrong. That or the shop you go to has given you the same phone unfixed back.
eliminate if its an app issue by unstakking the app you are installing.
update your phone throught Kies. etc etc etc
The problem with getting a replacement is that it will be a refurb. probably with a load of problems the same as yours that don't show in a quick test. If a load of pple hand phones back wigh this they probably just turn them round.
I may be just cynical...
from the man hiding in your attic....
maybe Note 1 is bad luck? How about a Note 2 subsidized for a little extra? A nexus 4? s3? HTC One X+? LG Optimus G?
i'm sorry about your phone rebooting. best of luck and happy holidays!
Never experienced any sich thing on my note since feb 2012. On stock 4.0.4 lr8

Hello all,
I had a nexus 5 before this phone and found google very easy to deal with when I needed to RMA. Has anyone RMAed their Z3C yet? Or a Z2 or Z1? Is Sony fairly easy to deal with?
Also, I bought the phone from Clove UK so does that change anything? Thanks.
i have to rma my z3 for the third time now since oct 2014
all 3 faults was because water under the lens
it lasts about 2 weeks till i get a new one from vodafone germany.

I know this is an old topic but I wanted to give my 2 cents anyway (I see you're from the UK, so two pence )
I've had to RMA my device 3 times as well...Sony is not nearly as easy to deal with as Google. Google would just send me a refurb device without question, often a new one. Sony on the other hand takes at least 2 weeks for the turnaround time to repair and is terrible communicating the status to you. This wouldn't be such a big deal if it was one time, but the second time they sent my phone back they had fixed my microsd flap but did nothing about the battery.
After a lot of arguing on the phone trying to explain that it was their fault they made me send it back again. Then, after I received it my camera stopped working in a few days...so here I am haha. Waiting on my 3rd and hopefully final RMA. Sony makes really great phones for the money but man oh man their customer service is the WORST. Complete broken record syndrome with any of the reps I've talked to.
I open this thread because I want to share my really bad experience with Samsung Technical Support and I want to know if someone experienced the same.
I bought my Galaxy S 5 on may. Rooted the same day. All good. Suddenly on October 17 the Gps stopped working.
I tried everything from go back to stock, change modem, baseband. Nothing it was just dead.
I have two galaxy S 5 and with the app Gps test one gave me 18 satellites and the other for like an hour "no fix".
I wrote a certified mail to Samsung pec (I live in Italy, EU, certified mail count as registered mail), describing the gps fault and asking the reparation of the device ex art. 128-131 D. lgs 206/2005 (Consumer Law in Italy).
They told my to send them the device for the repair.
I handed the phone to my Samsung city point with another letter in which was described the problem.
Have passed 15 working days and a Samsung operator called me to report that my phone was lost and that this was the reason for the delay in the repair.
Three days later they called my back to say that the phone was repaired and that they would have sent me back the device.
Today I received the phone. They have do nothing, only software reset!!! It's unbelievable.
I call the technical support and they replied candidly that the phone was only resetted.
Quickly I gave back to Samsung city point the phone asking not the reparation but the replacement with one working.
At the same time I wrote a registered mail to Samsung asking for a phone replacement and a notice to comply within 15 days.
I am a lawyer and I am seriously thinking to start a lawsuit against Sammy to obtain the phone replacement.
Has anyone experienced similar situations?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english and for the long post.
Nothing quite like this but very recently my charger broke in my hands.
I rang them up to arrange a replacement they asked for me to send an email with proof of purchase, which I did. After 15 emails and 5 calls later asking for updates, they sent me my charger.... For a galaxy s3!!
The only good thing about this is when I called them up again, they sent one out straight away but they did require my proof of purchase again!

Hi - STORY TIME!!
So when I got my phone, I was very happy. I got everyone in my family to get the same one: zenfone 2 laser.
But now I am so fed up with this company it is ridiculous.
My phone has had issues since the beginning, because everytime apps updated it shut down. And then other random times it would just die for seemingly no reason.
Over a month ago I got an RMA from ASUS.
I sent in the phone immediately, and waited a couple days until it arrived at the facility.
Finally, it arrives, and what do I find out? They gave me the wrong repair center address and they need to forward it to a different repair centre in another state. They're going to do that the next business day (which happened to be 2 days later).
6 days go by after they sent it out, and it finally arrives at the new repair center.
Now, 18 days later, the RMA site still says a repair is in progress. I have been emailing them back and forth trying to get a proper answer. They finally told me yesterday what's going on.
"we apologize for the I convenience this issue has caused you, the repair facility have found an issue with your motherboard that is not common and have to contact our headquarter in regard with this issue. They are currently waiting for a man advise that will cause the delay of the repairs for your device."
Are you kidding me? Basically the motherboard is ****ed and you don't want to just replace the phone like you should be doing? And 18 days to contact headquarters and find out what to do?! Is that a joke?
I'm usually pretty chill and calm and nice about these situations, but this is ridiculous. It's been over a month since I saw my phone.
Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do about it?
Am I being unreasonable here? I just don't see how this kind of customer service is acceptable.
I just had an awful experience with them myself. Asus literally sent the wrong update OTA to my ZE551KL. I kept my device 100% vanilla, didn't muck around with root, etc. and still ended up in a bootloop. I tried to install the latest firmware from their website to get it working, and yet it told me the version I had was newer. When I contacted them, they told me I'd have to send it in.
So I was literally forced to install a new recovery and unlock it just to get my device working again. Asus makes great hardware, but unless you have one of their high-end laptops (which I do), the customer service for everything else is terrible. PM me if you want, I have some corporate emails I used to get some problems rectified a few years back.
a week after the purchase i've had a problem with the back cover, it was completely covered in stains, so i've contacted asus support and they made me ship the complete phone to rma after a tedious procedure on the site and after ask a thousand times the same things.
After 10 days the phone came back with a new cover, but...
the warranty seal on the screws was ripped, so no more warranty
the proximity sensor was not working
the gps was not working
The support didn't responded me anymore, and also they have denied the zencare warranty saying that the back cover is not an hardware component
asus support is made by a bunch of clowns and the quality of their products is inexistent.
I've resolved my problem buying from ebay a phone with broken screen and using it to replace the mainboard, but guess what? on my phone there was some parts missing...
I'll never buy an asus product again in my life, same as my family and my friends.
I had a positive experience while dealing with Asus Service Centre, I had completely bricked my phone while trying to flash a pre-rooted firmware. So I handed over the phone directly to the service centre and I got back the phone after 1 day. Do one thing send a direct email to the zonal head of your area and inform him/her about your predicament, I'm sure something good will come out.
I think.... u get a fault phone.... when u buy a phone....
And electronice device when u repair then if u have 1 error after u can have an error different...

guys if you really want to use a nice zenfone..switch to cm13..coz it never gets messed up...i personally feel awesome after flashing cm13 and custom kernals.. AND HAVING ALL FACILITIES OF A ROOTED DEVICE..
I have a feeling they will sell very few of their premium priced ZF3's to anyone who has had experience with their customer service in the past.
When you could get a ZTE Axon 7 with a really good 2 year warranty for 400 USD, Asus doesn't have much to offer in my mind. They STILL haven't released MM for the first and most expensive Zenfone 2 models with Intel hardware.
Hello
From day one my note 8 had this half circle of black at the top right, the black area fits perfect under the front facing camera so I thought it was supposed to be like that.
Now my friend also got a brand new note 8 and his does't have this black area.
...so I have to send mine in to the service center and I will be really pissed if they dont give me a brand new one fast.
Anyone else in this forum that has had the same kind of display problem ?
if yours is over 30 days old, dont count on getting a "new" replacement..you should have reported that as soon as you noticed it
I just purchased a deep sea blue back in NOV and received it on NOV 27th. I noticed on Christmas that I had a stuck pixel(stays on red). I put a claim in on the 26th the month and I have to send it for warranty. Samsung says its a 7 to 10 day turn around plus 2 to 3 business days for shipping. so plan on not having a phone for 10 to 15 days if you don't have a back up device. I just hope they even cover my device, its in pristine condition and should not have any issues this quick. I also have another note 8 that I will be sending back to Samsung as well that has dead/stuck pixels as well that I purchased back in late AUG for pre order. i'll send that one in after I get back my blue note 8. I'm not sure why all these people are having pixels issues. I have owned samsungs for years now and never had one with a pixel issue.
I hope you've not realised it wasn't normal too late, so yeh if it's over 30days they'll most likely fix it or you'll get a refurbished one unfortunately. Wishing you luck.

Hopefully they fix it for you, I read somewhere on here that Samsung only replaces screens with 3 or more dead stuck pixels.

I have read this as well and actually asked Samsung tech support about the multiple pixels having to be defective and they told me that its covered under warranty. but that's like asking a wall from my past experiences with Samsung. Its right around the 30 days of owning the device and after paying almost a $1000 for it, that's pretty crappy business. if I owned the device for almost a year and this issue happened, then I wouldn't quite care as much about it. especially when I have purchased Samsung devices in the past at half the cost and never had any pixel issues present.

I fought with them about sending a new replacement but they wouldn't. It will probably get a replacement display I'm guessing. if they tell me I have to pay a deductible then I'm going to be more aggressive with this.
But they must fix it since its under warranty, the question is .....will I get a brand new one or a replacement.
I do not have any good experience with repaired phones that should be water IP68 certified.

You will most likely get a refurb. But a refurbished device is fixed, tested and recertified. It will still be IP68 water resistant. Its basically as good as condition your current device could be in, minus the defect.

in this case Samsung will be issuing the refurbished/repaired device so it will be tested and certified through Samsung. same process as their new devices. a local repair shop will usually not have it ip68 certified anymore.

this guy is correct^
I also just heard back from Samsung today. They are replacing the display under warranty(1 pixel was stuck). says it will be shipped back within 5 business days
