[Q] Need help! stuck on samsung logo N7000 - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm new here and I couldnt find a thread which had the same problem as me solved so here we go!
I tried manually installing the official jellybean firmware on my N7000 following the steps exactly (usb debugging on, download mode etc) Once I started to run Odin everything was fine until a massive FAIL occured. This is what Odin said

Anyway now my phone won't start, it will turn on and but it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo, I booted it into recovery mode, wiped cache, user data and rebooted but it was still stuck on the Samsung logo. How do I fix my phone from here??

Have you installed the drivers on your pc?

32 bit - http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOBILES/Samsung/Samsung-Galaxy-S-USB-Driver-for-Windows-x86.shtml
Install the driver and then try again
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

check if kies is running.. close it from task manager... run odin as admin.. aslo before flashing again.. you need to power off and reboot into download mode

Thank you!!
Thanks, that's what I hadn't done, install the drivers. All working good now and have to say its great to finally have jellybean on it!

[Q] No firmware will install on my Samsung Galaxy

Hi all,
I recently tried upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S from Eclair to Froyo through Samsung Kies, but however it would not move past 1% for a long time (1 hour?), and would not cancel the update so had no choice but to disconnect my USB. Since then, it would only show the Phone ! Computer sign.
I bought myself a jig which set it on into download mode. First I accidently hit start on Odin without loading any firmware which kick started my phone back to how it was before this accident. I then downloaded the I9000XWJS3|2.2.1|2011 January (not actually knowing the stock firmware type on my phone). I loaded the file as a PDA, and got a Pit file, 512. No luck it would not load. It would get stuck and modem.ini or something like that. After a few tries of unplugging, using jug and replugging back to usb, I tried again, but Odin accidentally started up with "re-partition" aswell and after loading the PDA file and PIT file I clicked start with repartition ticked.
Since then the phone won't even start, even plugged into a charger, not even the Phone ! Computer sign anymore. Just a blank screen. However using the Jig still puts it in download mode, but since my Phone is of the o2 network (UK), Ive even tried downloading and trying to flash Eclair firmware, I9000XXJM1, by loading the 512 pit file, loading the PDA, Phone and CSC files. Again, nothing, it gets stuck at:

I literally have no idea what to do anymore and I feel I may of taken more than I can chew and worried I have perma bricked my phone or corrupted something. Should I send it in to Samsung for repair? Will they even repair it or be able to? My phone wont start up at all, and when I say that I mean you hold the power button and nothing comes on. It's not like before, not even the Phone ! Computer sign shows or anything, its just black. They only way I can get anything out of it is by plugging the Jig, which puts it in download mode.
Any idea's or help would be GREATLY appreciated.
PS: I tried runing Odin 1.3 in admin mode and under XP service pack 2 compatibility, no luck!

Thanks but that post is for the firmware [JL2] Bell I9000M, which is for the samsung vibrant. I have the bog standard Samsung galaxy S. I'm not sure it will flash.
Any more advice and information really REALLY appreciated!

Nope even tried that post and downloaded the firmware, did exactly as he instructed. Phone is in download mode, the blue bar goes the same distance (like 2mm full) and stops for the rest of the time.

Error while updating firmware

Hello,
While using Sygic navigation dad's galaxy ace (S5830i) got frozen, I restarted it by pushing the power button for a few seconds, but the phone didn't start up, just showing the samsung logo animation again and again... i tried to use recovery mode but it says it "failed to mount /data (invailed agrument).
So I thought i reinstall the original software, that I found on sammobile.com, but while I was installing it, some kind of error happened:

Hi there. How's the problem? I also got the same problem, flashing a firmware from sammobile and failing to flash it even if I use the .pit file i found on other threads. But you still have a chance. Download the Pda.tarhere and place it in the PDa section. do not use any pit file. it worked for me, I soft bricked my s5830i several times already and the PDA.tar works like a charm. I got it from here thanks to ickyyy

S5830i only accepts a three file odin installation method. The .PDA file mentioned in the second post is also valid, but its an older firmware for s5830i. Please checkout this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1822109 to install latest firmware downloaded and made compatible for odin. Details are in the thread. I hope this helps and if it does don't forget the thank button

[Q][Solved] Brick, can't flash

Hello Friends!
I have bricked my s5830i ace, while I wanted to return to stock with odin. Unfortunately I didn't check USB debugging, so I couldn't flash it.
The problem is the following:
-Usb debugging isn't checked=>Can't flash=>Can't unbrick
Please help me! If i connect the phone to the first USB, odin says: Operation(Write) failed...or something...I can't try now.
Or when I connect to the second USB, odin says: Connecting(or something like that) and stucks...
Please help me! I'm very nervous, and I don't want to bring it to service!
You're my last hope
(If you need details, I could have a look at flashing process, and messages)
Well, how did you brick it? Seems like you flashed the wrong firmware (a firmware for 5830 without the 'i')
If that's the case and odin is stuck at setting up connection, then bad luck. A jtag (if you know someone with one) or service center are your options.
I'm sad to hear that. I wanted to flash the official 2.3.6 from samfirmware. If I know well, I should use Odin 1.84, or 1.85 and the file, which I have downloaded should be under PDA section...
Does your ace still go into download mode?
If so, it might be fixed by flashing the correct firmware.
Make sure to have your firmware in your pc root (C:/) since i've read that it helps.
I've put the correct firmware (Samfirmware S5830i Hungary Telenor)...It boot into download mode without any problem. I haven't tried to put the md5 file to the root, but I will try it soon. Thanks. I hope It's a good idea.
But I think I should check USB debugging in settings, but I can't do this, because It's bricked

As far as I'm concerned, usb debugging doesn't matter when flashing via odin. Edit: confirmed, since in download mode the system isn't loaded, there's nothing to debug.
Most odin problems occur when using wrong firmware, wrong .ops file or filename, when drivers aren't installed, or when not running odin as admin.
Okay....nothing worked.
I've tried everything, which you've said.

Odin firmware flashing always fails

I have a Galaxy note 10.1 running kitkat 4.4.2 (GT-N8000)
Yesterday i was browsing the internet when suddenly the device decided to shut down and went on a restart boot loop where it would show the "Samsung galaxy note 10.1" screen for a while and then reboot and re-show the same screen
i have tried entering recovery mode but the tablet keeps restarting without end the only thing i can access is download mode
So recently i tried flashing using Odin but when ever i try to flash any file it shows this error

I have tried flashing a stock recovery so i can try and wipe the current data
I have tried to download multiple stock roms from jelly bean to kitkat which all ended up failing
I have tried flashing the tablet with a "Repair rom" which contains the BL AP CSC and Modem files
i think that if i can still access the download mode that there is some hope to recover?
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance.
If i posted this in the wrong section forgive me i have just started out
