Theme Chooser - Galaxy Tab 2 Themes and Apps

Is it possible to install the Theme Chooser from CM onto a stock Jelly Bean ROM? I am rooted, and I haven't found a ROM that supports the IR Blaster so i wanna stay stock but i'd like a custom theme.

Zap Blaster ROM has working ir blaster, however it doesn't have theme chooser.
Eat Play Google

you can try cm10.1 it is the best rom

No it isn't possible..
try custom rom

I'm thinking your best option is to use custom ROM like other have suggested. You're just gonna have to theme said ROM to look like stock.

well it would be possible if someone would take all of his time for recompiling of too much files and adit many lines.
But im sad to say that i doubt that that occasion will ever come to life,as nobody wants to do it :/
But if you dont like touchwiz, why dont you use AOSP 4.2 and use themes?

Whats the closest ROM to ICS thats runs on GB?

I love the UI and operating system of 4.0.1 but my problem is the fact that the Camera, Youtube HQ and other different things dont work. So what Im wondering is are there any ROMs based on Gingerbread that look and feel like ICS?
Thanks in advance,
Jelly Bean

Yup.
Just use a cm7 and put the ics theme by achep.
Or, you can also use stock roms, with some ics theme flashable packages..
The development Section is full of ICS theme ROMs.
Y U NO "SEARCH"??

Blackout ICS - Back to ICS Stock?

Hello!
I recently flashed the new blackout ICS rom to the desire. The sad thing is, it isn't the ICS theme I am accustomed too, it is the HTC sense theme. Is there anyway for me to go back to the normal ICS Theme I know and love?? Thanks!
Yes, flash any AOSP ICS ROM.

Will that allow me to have the working camera fixes and such that just hit?
Blackout has an option to choose ics.

AFAIK the option is only during the installer and not for the actual theme itself
Well sadly after some research this doesnt seem to be much of an option. I'll leave the topic in case anyone else has some suggestions

Yes, the theme selection is only changes what the AROMA installer looks like. Blackout ICS is a Sense ROM. If you want something closer to a Nexus, as already suggested flash a AOSP or AOKP ROM.
Try Ice Cold Sandwich 8.6.1, working camera, 720p video camcorder and all.

You can do what I did when I tried blackout ICS, I used nova launcher to get the vanilla look and feel. But if you want to it to be stock try out ice cold 8.6.1 and download lgcamera from the play store. That has the closest feel and options of the dhd camera.

TW cannot be used on any custom roms, only official samsung roms built with TW and S apps, you cant just install it, and you cant install S apps either, i tried and it didnt work.
However you can find some apps replace S apps, but TW features ?, nah

Touchwiz is only on TW ROMs/stock ROM. (Touchwiz is tied together with the framework apk and spen features.) So, to have spen features, you need touchwiz and the touchwiz framework. AOSP doesn't use touchwiz/the framework, so no touchwiz/spen stuff.
Smack that thanks button if I helped!

[Q] add camera to ROM?

I like a particular ROM (omega beta 7.1 I think it was) but it does not have a camera. I also like the camera in the m'rage rom V3. What are the procedures to get my pie and eat it too? Can an idiot like myself quickly install a kitchen and pick and choose what they want from different roms and rebuild the rom and de-o-dex or whatever else has to happen?

you can do that easily with root explorer
copy camera apk in apps and change permissions but as it otse;f does not have camera right now i fear camera will not work cos it is not supported yet
You just cant install a camera app from any rom to another.. Omega rom has OMNI rom as base(i.e Kitkat 4.4.X), while M'rage rom is stock based(i.e Gingerbread 2.3.X).. Camera of M'rage rom wont work on Omega rom.. You can only use apps of the roms if they have the same base..

OK, thanks. I might give it a try. Worst case scenario, would it fry my camera or LED..?

Thanks, are you aware of a 4.4 based camera with the bells and whistles of the M'rage camera?
Should I presume this is a missing dependencies related issue or kernel/drivers issue or something else?
How can I learn more about this?
