[Q] CyanogenMod 7.0.3

Hi, this might be a very simple question and easy to answer but i just want to make sure i do it correctly as i am flashing CM7 for the first time, I am currently using Stock 2.3.4 rooted with unlocked bootloader.
My first question is that the file i download is update-cm-7.0.3N1-signed.zip, so do i need to rename the file to update or no need when flashing it?
Also with CM7 do i need to root the phone or its already rooted and i will have super user permissions?
Also is there a link where i can download the Google apps all together rather than downloading one at a time.
Thanks.
no need at all. just flash a clockworkmod recovery then select "apply zip from sdcard" after which you can select any zip file on your card.
it's rooted. plz find the link to gapps zip on CM wiki.
Or plz just read the update guide carefully plz thX.
//but CM 7.0.3 doesn't seem to be fixing the axis-flipping problem which is alright on 6.1.1
I cannot post external links here yet, but here your gapps are:

[SOLVED] [Q] recovering apk files borked CM7.1 install

installed CM7.1, updated the latest nightly over it (#150), worked for about 10 minutes, then started boot-looping, then got stuck on the boot logo.
i know i can probably wipe data and fix this, but i want to backup the apk files as i had a lot of apps on there and don't want to download them again from scratch as i don't even remember what i had.
i can still get to CWM 5, so i wondered if its possible to get to the apks through recovery somehow?
edit: nvm gonna restore from the nandroid

[Q] Where can I find latest CWM?

Hi.
I'm trying to install the latest slimkat, but their link for the latest CWM is dead. I'm on 4.2.1 now
I wonder where I can find it.
Thanks.
Edit: Nevermind, I figure I can just flash a new Kernel with the new CWM.
I'm not too bright sometimes.

[Q] flashing latest cmw recovery

Hi,
Im on stock jellybean with an old philz recovery(initially added by flashing a zip)....i had planned to try out the new Mokee rom by Herna with split window which is a kitkat release. for this i tried to update my recovery to the latest by flashing the zip file from http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition. .Unfortunately i went into bootloop .So i flashed my backup and everything was back to normal. Does the link give recovery +kernel or is it a plain recovery. Did i miss anything.. i would love to try out kitkat . Could anyone help me out with this issue..thanks!

[Q] Official Cyamogenmod 12.1 Bootlop

Hey everyone,
I found an Official update for my device from CyanogenMod Download Site.
I search any forum if available here about this ROM, unfortunately i cannot be able to find any form related to this ROM. Then i download 5.1 Gapps and download the ROM CyanogenMod 12.1. i wipe dalvik , userdata , cache and system. then flash both of the zip files ive downloaded. As i was using 12.0 Cyanogen i dont think i need to flash Cyanogen snapshot as it require for 12.0 to solve the BootLop. After flashing my phone is stuck on the booting animation since 20-25mins then i force reboot my phone into Recovery then i flash the SNAPSHOT and then reboot for once it works fine for me, then i just flash 12.1 and L gapps on the phone and then reboot, unforunately im facing the same problem from last hour. I dont know how to make 12.2 Cyan to work on my phone wihtout bootlop.
If anyone knows how to remove the bootlop then please let me know, thanks

Hmmm...I was on CM12 and wiped everything (cache, dalvik cache, system, data) so I clean flashed CM12.1 and GApps 5.1, after 2-3 mins it booted ok. So I guess flashing CM11 first is not needed. Just try again idk...:/
