I shut down my xperia T. When I turned the phone again, not single one application won't start. When I tap on application nothing happends. I did factory reset, but when I installed everything, it happend again. Does someone now why this happends? I'm on stock jelly bean.
rooted?
FW?
Unlocked bootloader?
What did you install?
It happend on stock rom(when i bought it i had jelly bean out of the box), then it happend after i rooted it. Now this fw is rooted. Could it be because in developer options i set window animation transition animation and animation duration to off?

It is because of that . Reverting settings to default and reset, does the trick

I just tried adding a boot animation to the system/media folder but it didn't work (only a blank screen showed up during boot.) Not sure if I did it wrong or if it's just not possible at all.
Anyone know? Thanks

Sweet! Just tried it and it worked for me as well. Thanks
I got a Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 running 4.1.1 XXALJL (rooted) and the auto rotation doesn't work. I tried full wipe and calibration but nothing happens. And before you ask, yes, the auto rotation option is obviously enabled.
Any ideas?
Re: [Q] Auto-rotation doesn't work
Have you got auto rotate box ticked in the display setting, or pull down bar on top of display and see if screen rotation is green. Or maybe you upgrade your firmware to 4.1.2,or could be some App turning it off.

Be carefull what are you flashing. If your Mini is 8190N (means NFC enabled), you'll need NFC ROM. I just flashed 4.1.2. and all works fine. However, the phone keep most of the time on G/E instead of 3G/H...

AFAIK my device is I8190. I flashed the rom I mentioned earlier and it didn't work out as planned. It stopped after flashing at CWM asking if I wanted to flash and untrusted image which didn't work anyways. After continuing the device boots normally but the problem is the same (rotation doesn't work) and worse is the capacitive buttons didn't work at all.
I downloaded my stock rom and gonna flash it now but I will lose the root though.
Edit: just finished flasing the stock rom I8190XXALJL_I8190OJVALJ9 and the rotation problem is still there. Also I noticed the auto brightness doesn't work as well. I'm wondering if it's a defect or just a bug in 4.1.1.

Yeah, I found out about the whole light sensor thing later, kinda pisses me off though.
I too have a feeling it's a problem with accelerometer. Especially since upgrading to 4.1.2 didn't help.
Anyways, I took it today to the service center and I'm waiting for them to call me and tell me what they'll do. I just hope it doesn't take long, it's frustrating as it is.
Edit: I got it back from the service shop, they said it was a hardware issue, but it's fixed now and working fine.

I do have exactly the same problems on my deodexed version. And until now no clue why. So let's see if another member finds or knows a solution.
this is what i found on for ICS on a similar issue
"- Download "Terminal Emulator" app from market
- open it
- type into the command:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/imei/keystr
sync
Go to home, force close your terminal app, shut your screen off, and when your turn it back on your lock screen should be there."

This has worked for me in the past with ICS..

JB does not start. Hangs at the boot screen
Hi folks,
After I installed the official JB (from fantastic Eybee) the system announces sometime to check for software updates. If you allows that, after a short time you get the message that the system has been changed. And then the system restarts and remains at the boot screen stand. This happened to me 3 times. After that only helps a full wipe to Android running again.
I also get the message that the system has been modified but phone does not reboot. May be you need to clean install the rom again.

I solved my problems in my new version 1.3.
In XXLSA and XXLSC I do not have these problem (leaks and dumps). In official ICS or JB I do have the problems - but now solved with a workaround in my own Custom Rom (android.policy.jar).
Any idea how to fix with stock jb 4.1.2

AW: Problem on official jb
No. Not really. Because you need at least root for trying a workaround.
Switch to a deodexed Rom.

Eybee uses android.policy.jar from XXLSZ, try my Custom Rom (with the android.policy.jar from XXLSC) and check if you have lockscreens with this one (until now no 4-way-reboot, because I didn't implement it yesterday).

Dude, you are my hero! I had this problem with the lockscreen and i couldnt make a call.. only your ROM helped! Thank you so much! :good:
What's the problem? Im on stock ROM 4.4 CWM Rooted and Bootloader Unlocked
If your on stock rom you aren't on a Deodexed ROM which is what you need to be to use rom toolbox's modify framework and what not. To do that on a stock rom try using xposed framework and the module gravity box although this can only change status bar and notification bar colors really... Until we get a cm style rom working we won't be able to use rom toolbox's to modify framework

Whenever I put the phone in vibrate mode or silent mode, it still lets all sound through. Notifications, ringtones, etc. The phone will show the silent or vibrate notification, but it doesn't have that effect.

You could try to update to either 2.254 (4.1.2) or .266 (4.3) because the current build you have running is a bit outdated

I'd love to, and tried both options tonight, but I couldn't get Flash Tool to root any other firmware, would always hang at "waiting for uevent_helper rw". So I just used my cwm backup and now I'm back to my old system with the same problems....
Any way to help either the Flash Tool problem or the volume problem?
If you want root you need to look futher there are tutorials about rooting
