Zagg invisibleSHIELD - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hello fellow Xperia T/V users! I've used this product on my old Xperia X10 Mini Pro and it really is a good screen protector. I have just ordered the invisibleSHIELD (Maximum Coverage) for my Xperia V and it's shipping to Singapore tomorrow. I would post screenshots of this. If you are interested you can head onto http://www.zagg.com/

I already ordered one replacement because I had many problems with this protector for my T. It's bloody hard to apply. At least for me

Do you think you could post those photos as I am really curious as to how the invisibleSHIELD looks as I am planning on getting one for my Xperia T but am not sure whether I want to keep the matte plastic back as opposed to the glossier, 'orange peel' texture.

I asked for a replacement. I'll upload soon.

Did you put the invisibleSHIELD on after taking off the screen protector that Sony put on? That's what I plan on doing so hopefully there's no dust Also do you think you could post a couple of close up pictures of the front and back? That would be really great!

I really want one for the TX, but both zagg and xtremeguard don't have it

Yes but without sending, you can only request ONE replacement. After that you will have to buy another invisible shield at full price.
And "infinite" number of replacements would be able if you send them every piece of old invisible shield
Unfortunately I threw my old one to the trash... Now I'm waiting for my brother to buy LCD cleaning spray to totally wipe all the grease I have on my glass (shatter-proof sheet is taken off) because I can't wipe it using Zagg's cloth (no oleophobic glass on T...) and then I will try to put it again ;D

No. I can ask for more replacements but the next time I need to send in the old one. This is only a one time thing.
Thank me! I need to get my thanks up from my previous account!

Okay! I got the replacement today! I'm not applying it now because I'm sending my phone for repair soon. Also I can't update OP because I've changed to this account. (Old account given to my brother back since he came back from the army) Here's the pictures I took!

Screen Protector Required?

Hi, I been using screen protectors for my x8. However in gsmarena it says the following about the x8:
Protection: Scratch-resistant glass

Its a total lie.
Our phone has Scratch-resist surface, but not a scratch-resist screen.
I would definitely recommend one. I haven't used a screen protector, got a big scratch and really regret not having used one.
Buy one in the beginning and save being furious after the first big scratch

definitely use a screen protector! the x8 screen is hardly scratch resistent at all. just put it in a bag together with some keys and you will end up ruining your beautiful screen.

Well, everyone knows that puting a phone freely inside a bag plus keys and other stuff is a bad idea. Even if you had a screen protector, you probably had to end up buying another because they can also get scratches

I think it's some type of mistake on Gsmarena site about x8's scratch resistant display. Because some people claimed, that when they removed the screen protector because of this arcticle , they experienced scratches later anyway.
I have used x8 before recently changed to xperia active.i myself haven't test something like that video.
On the specification says :
Scratch resistant
Yes it's scratch resistant
But it's not scratch proof right
Xperia active screen is using ashahi's dragontrail mineral glass
It's almost the same technology that corning gorilla glass using

Dude... Gorilla Glass is still glass.
It's engineered to be scratch resistant, not shatter proof.
If it makes impact with something sharp/pointed or if it makes contact in just the right spot, it will shatter. It's just physics.
If the shock can't disperse evenly or if it's absorbed entirely by the screen, it will shatter. That's what bumpers are for.
Either way, you dropped it. That's not Google's fault. They didn't sell you a defective device, they sold a device to a clumsy person.

Not scratch proof. I had a scratch on it after the first day of light use....I have no idea how it got there.
Is there any way I can get this repaired? This is my only phone and I hate the thought that I just threw away $340.
LG said:
This is the way the warranty service works here: The warranty that we offer is valid for 12 months with the copy of the receipt and it covers only manufacturing defects, no liquid, physical or cosmetic damages, otherwise charges may apply for the repair on the unit. The process takes 5-7 business days, and the only cost that you need to cover would be shipping and handling by sending the defective unit to us and we cover the shipping back with Fedex.
michelle: If the phone is out of warranty, you can still send it in to us, we can evaluate it and check if it is repairable or not. If there’s a repair cost, we will inform you how much it is and then you decide if you want to pay or not for the repair on the unit.

My main question is . how much more protection does a cover gives is there a drop test ?
Second question. Dude don't you have a home insurance or anything like that ?if it broke at home you are covered . check your bank account if you're paying for it you might have an insurance on it.
And this is what I'm going to do. Get an insurance for my phone and won't even use a cover or bumper .if it breaks I'll get a new one

This is going to be just like the nexus 7, a cheap build that breaks easy and the slightest crack will make the touch screen stop working. I dropped my nexus 7 on carpet and it cracked in a case. Not a big crack but everything stopped working and the cost to fix it was as much as buying a new one. Had to do a squaretrade scam to get my money back.
Only because the phone is 300 dollars will I be buying one. Going to buy 3 and get one squaretrade warranty so whichever one breaks first can use it.

I live in an apartment bro.
That sucks, my friend's Nexus 4 cracked a few days too, lower left side of the screen is unusable. If you want to do a DIY repair, the Screen+Digitized+Frame can be found on eBay (shipped from California). Unfortunately, it's pricey ($200+). I think LG is going to charge around $160ish for a repair. Let us know what they quote you.

Gorrila glass protects against keys, knives etc but against particles is where it fails. A substance such as sand would easily cause gorilla glass to scratch

LG has been pretty clear about this since day 1, the back is not Corning Gorilla Glass. They have specifically informed reviewers in the press to not call the back gorilla glass. It is some other kind of hardened glass, either from Corning or another maker. Gorilla Glass is a brand name. Don't get hyped up on brands, they're near-meaningless.

Attention first time Skinomi users

Just a PSA for first time Skinomi users. When I put mine on two days ago, it looked like absolute trash and I almost ripped it off immediately. But I didn't.
Two days later and it looks great. Like magic fairies put a new one on while I was sleeping or something.
So, if you try this product, give it at least 2 days before you pass final judgement. Also, put it on at night, let it sit overnight without a case on. When you put it on, after aligning it well and squee-geeing the excess fluid off, take extra time to rub your finger along the curved edges. This will make them tack down very nicely (even though the rest will look like trash, just give it time).
Premature use of a case will most likely cause the edges to pop up. Waiting until the next morning to slap on your case is a good idea.
To clarify, this is regarding the Skinomi Tech Skin Premium HD Clear.

I've always liked Spigens plastic screen protectors. I had to use them on my Nexus 6 since no TGSP would work with its 2.5D edges. I have one of the Spigen's enroute with a ETA of tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it is.
Edit: It's actually arriving today! I just checked the tracking. I've been reluctant to use my S7E all week because I don't have a screen protector and already managed to get a tiny scratch despite 'babying' my phone.
how did you get early? says in stock March 11, 2016...
Some pics would be nice, wanting to get this too and put glass on top lol
so 1 question once I install skinomi skin what happens when I dip my phone in water or like splash water over it since the phone is water resistant. Does the skin come off ?
i ordered that protector and received it already but i dont have the phone yet...but did you get an email from skinomi saying they werent satisfied with the fit on the phone and changed the design up on the protector and is sending out a replacement protector for free...so i guess im gunna be getting a better fitting replacement from them...

Looks like Skinomi botched the first batch with incorrect sizes and are fixing the issue. They commented on Amazon re the issue to a customer complaining that it didn't fit properly so they probably pulled the stock until its fixed.

I can attest to how botched it was. The cut was for a S6E+ sized device and horrible IMO. They aren't the only company that did this, but at least theyre fixing it.

I pre-ordered it on Feb 25th, got it on the 29th.
I was surprised.

The one I'm using is from the "second batch", fits well.

Splashing water seems fine, I haven't fully submerged it though.

They are also offering free replacements to those who purchased the first version so hit them up!

I already returned it to Amazon, but a replacement just arrived in the mail. I'll probably send it back because they refunded me earlier

I bought a supershieldz before I got the phone just to have something and could get something better. Turns out, I need nothing else. I don't even know I have a protector on it. Love that cheap old thing.

I have the same one and its great! I tried the Spigen (which was okay, but then started to peel) and two wet install ones that were cut oo big. The SuperShieldz is the best one so far!
