Check MD5 sum with the kdz that is downloaded.
or
Make sure you follow the instructions correctly
Or
Flash a patch v20 KDZ and then immediately flash to another ROM (This may be risky to your su)

hey guys, long story short, after flashing recovery with CWM, and pressing backup ROM button, i'm now stuck on boot logo and can't enter recovery mode. Download mode is still working ? what do I do ?
First flash ezbase froyo via odin then flash whatever you want.
Thanks a lot friend, I did a lot of flashing with cwm but never had a need to reflash via odin. Anyways, it looks like your post saved me from trouble. Thank you for even taking time to answer me. I successfully used Ezbase and it solved it for me. Have a nice day

Can anyone teach me how to patch .bin files for flashing with smartflashtool ? Snegovik had succeeded in patching the recovery partition with cwm recovery , but i'm very noob and don't understand anything . There sure is a way to patch those .bin files , if anyone knows how to do it , PLEASE share !
You need Ubuntu or another linux distribution and this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22329293&postcount=106
Maybe this for extracting kdz files into bin/fls files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22329293&postcount=106
I already know how to extract the kdz. What I want to do is get the cwm recovery inside the .bin file before flashing into the phone . Or even pushing the su binaries into the .bin file. Thanks for your answer though

The first link that nooby posted has the instructions to place cwm inside the bin file.
Trolling in the deep
Did you read my post at all? In the first link you ll find all the commands needed to put cwm inside the bin file. I think you cant add superuser, but I may be wrong...
And you need Ubuntu or another linux to do it.
Thanks ! Sorry for not reading properly

KDZ send through the race into which you want to make it to the CWM-et I'm doing it for you today. if need be. Which region is yours.
Hello,
I am a completely new person to all this flashing. I wanted to put ICS on my galaxy s. It is already on 2.3.3 and I just recently rooted it using superoneclick.
Odin was doing its thing, then it came up with 'FAIL'. Now my screen looks like this (see attachment) and will only let me go into download mode.
What can I do??
All help is greatly appreciated.
Hey
Dont panic..just read my UnBrick Guide (Below)..itll solve ur issue..else you can downgrade to a stock firmware and start all over again..
you also goes into charging? Try to flash a kernel by odin in pda unmarked pit or partition
Hey. That's not such a bad thing. Your phone has no software on it, that's why you can't start or go into recovery. Simply get a ROM that can be flashed via Odin and flash it. That'll solve everything.
U can find roms here:

No panic, read on the forum how to work with Odin. And you will be on track soon.
So I tried to install a rom and every thing went fine. I rebooted my phone via clockworkmod and then it shows me the logo of Galaxy mini 2 and the screen gets whiter and whiter. I tried going back to CWM but it wont open the only thing i can do is go to download mode.
So if somebody coud help me i would appreciate it.
Have you tried reflashing stock?
So are we now creating new topic for every brick? I had the same problem, it's a brick. What did you do?

Will do.
How could you even flash it since the updater-script cancels installation if the device name/model number is not in the list?

Idk, i downloaded it and installed with CWM 6.0.2.8. I havent had any error or warning.
If you can access the Download Mode flash the stock firmware.. mine can't even acces the Download Mode even with USBJig, it still shows a white line..
he had a soft brick, you had a hard brick.. take it to the service center
This should be posted in Q n A not in Android Development.
then report it...posting there is waste of time...since most or all of mini 2 users are here...
Guys in the nooby guide in the ICS root section, it says in the instructions flash the .bin file.
Does that mean I only flash the .bin file and not the .fls file?? Last time I done this it put 2.3.4 in my phone!
thanks in advance

If you want an ICS ROM, or JB, or higher, you only need to flash the .bin file. If you want a v20/GB ROM, you should flash the v20 baseband as well

Ok Thanks. I've tried pretty much everything, even putting the phone onto the official LG upgrader, the upgrader loses communication while its doing the upgrade, and smartflash comes up with errors and stops. Pretty much stagnant now dont know what to do.
any ideas??
P.S. my phone is dead from yesterday as i tried to stick a new rom in. not working at all!

Try to flash Bin & Cp files from Preinstallation for IZS ROM (SmartFlash) HERE : http://huexxxtuff.blogspot.com.es/2013/01/izs-rom-links.html
Make shure to reinstall drivers before.
Then after this flash let it complete boot and then try to flash what you wanted.
Some times PCs are assholes.....and not just the phones....
As for rooting ics, just use http://www.unlockroot.com/ - (with usb debugging on)
Hope it helps, cheers!
