I was just wondering if anyone did? All my phone needs is a good flex cable. I really like this phone actually.
Same
Although I'm still not sure what it is on mine.
Gonna take it apart fully today or tomorrow
Yeh so where are those guys who were gonna use their D3 as doorstop?
:crying:
I thank my lucky stars that my flex cable isn't broken yet. Sounds like a common issue...:S

So i bought a few of these batteries off of ebay and they are OEM HTC 1500maH batteries that come with the EVO. However when i put it in i cant press the letter T. i knwo this is happeneing due to pressure on the screen (its a little bigger than the 1300) but its weird cuz when i put the batteries in my moms incredible the problem doesnt happen. can someone please help me find a fix for this issue. its realllly annoying. and also i know it has nothing to do with the software cuz ive tried flashing multiple roms.
not sure if it has anything to do with it, but do you and your mom both have the same types of screens, or maybe one of you has SLCD, etc.?
I have an HTC Evo 1500 in my inc and T works for me. I'm AMOLED. Let us know what you've got.
I have an 1800 battery off of ebay and its a good bit bigger then the stock battery and everything still works
We all have AMOLED so i cant figure out why there should be a problem with just "my" phone
that's no fun man :/ just curious, what happens if you hold the phone horizontal?
Works perfectly fine. But I don't use landscape very much...

No problems with the Seidio 1750mah battery.
ok ive been using the stock battery due to the whole T not registering and i just got a siedio innocase 2 and popped it on my DI and the problem started happening with the 1300+ innocase! but now its even worse, the T, G and V wont register with the case on.. So im thinking about taking my phone into verizon and getting a replacement, but im not sure if they would give me a new phone because they might give me some its a 3rd party product bs and their not responsible for it... anyone have any suggestions on how i could get a replacement? lol
Well you said you noticed it when using an OEM battery... So obviously it's a problem with the phone.
Make sure you show them what happens when you try it on both you and your mom's Incredibles.
yeah im going to take them both in and show them. i should probably restore my stock backup and turn security back on before i take it in yeah?

That would probably be smart, yes.
so i brought it in showed them the problem and knowing how verizon reps are (they think wiping the data fixes everything) they just wiped the data, problem was still there and a new phone should be here tuesday. just crossing my fingers the same thing doesnt happen to the new phone.

Hey guys, for the past 4 months or so now my headphone jack has been a little funny. Sometimes I go to touch it it goes staticy/stops playing music. Now almost everytime I touch my phone while its plugged in my car it'll stop playing or go staticy as well. Long story short, my jack is messed up and iknow its not the headphones/aux cord. Was wondering if you guys think I should get warranty replacement? Or should I get a brand new device? I do have an upgrade. Im not too thrilled about the phones that are out now not gonna lie. But what would you do in my situation? Thanks

My headphone-jack also got messed up. I repaired this easily myself, it had just the problems you're describing.
I took a Q-tip and cut it to the right size to fit in the headphone-jack WITHOUT it loosing all of the cotton in there.
Then i messed around with it until it came out with a huge piece of dust.
I've had to do this twice to get my jack working.
One alternative would be to take some tweesers and pick the dust out with it.
And no, i wasn't able to see any dust in my 3.5mm jack. Try it, it's for free and it worked for me.
I had a similar issue where my headphone jack just died completely. Tried to clean it out but it still wouldn't work. Finally called and had a replacement phone sent to me since I'm in the same boat as you and waiting for a newer qwerty phone to come out and didn't want to re-sign with a D4 for 2 years seeing as that phone is getting a bit old itself.
Unfortunately, almost 2 months in and the headphone jack died again. I'll have to try calling for ANOTHER replacement. Hopefully they don't send you one that dies as fast as mine. I know that occasionally if you have the same problems over and over with a particular phone they might send you a different one with your same contract terms. Just make sure you stay nice and friendly with the rep Good luck and let us know how it works out.

So just dropped my freakin phone and shattered it. Still works but obviously really sucks!!
So my question is has anyone fixed a broken screen on the atrix HD? And was it really difficult? I've changed a screen for my friend on his iPhone (I know) once it was a pain but I did it.
Any suggestions or comments would be great. Don't really feel like paying $150 to get it fixed. Actually I won't pay it haha.
Thanks in advance

I've fixed screens before, it's really not difficult, just time-consuming, it's best to just take your time, go slow, and get rid of any distractions, I've never done it on the AHD, but I wouldn't see it being too difficult, as it's just the same as all other phones really.
Yeah gonna give it a go soon. Can't have a smashed screen. Hopefully it all works out. **** mind as well do the battery mod too while I have it apart!

Yeah she was fine for a week.... then after work Sunday it just failed.
No touch less controls, no google now
People can't hear me in calls unless I scream and even then they just great noise
:/
And now I must go a week or two without a phone?
Ugh...
I may go and just buy a nexus 5 just to not wait... But I've really loved my Dev edition.
Any one had this problem?

I was putting my screen protector on and I guess the solution got into the mic. It wasn't working for a few hours. I also had to scream at it to get it to work.

Yeah I'm just returning mine, I don't have 7 days to go missing work calls :/ , in the mean time I'm going to buy a refurb Nexus 4.
Freaking pathetic that the mic breaks after a week.
They'll overnight a brand new phone to you. Just saying...
Does the phone fill with the water? Perhaps it's the problem.
Once my phone was taked in water, and I used hair-dryer to make it dry. then it works well now.
I've been through 3 of them and i'm getting my replacement today. I know this sounds silly but ,but diid any of you happen to have just put on a screen protector? I ask because to forums ive seen recognize this as the problem. defective screens.
I had the same problem, but I had my X since November and all of the sudden it went bad. People couldn't hear me on calls, no Google now either it was just dead.
Went to Verizon store they checked the phone and decided to send me a replacement.
I got my replacement 3 days later and guess what FREAKING same problem with the replacement phone, it came with a broken Mic. Went back to Verizon and now they are sending another replacement. I don't know what's the deal with the microphones. For me it seems that the opening it might be too exposed to dust and with time this gets into the mic. I might get my replacement today.

Did any of you try using compressed air?
So over the summer my HTC Vivid's charging port and power button both broke out of no where. I never dropped it or anything like that. The thing is, these issues both happened at the exact same time which makes me wonder if a piece of the phone was broken/disconnected. Has anyone else had an issue like this? I will probably disassemble the phone later today.

They are completely separate accessories on the board... Unless something shorted in the port is affecting the button...
The charge port is easy to replace...
Don't buy the $6 one... Spend at least $10...
I liked the one from a company in Chicago... About $15 to me...

Just wanted to agree and emphasize to spend the extra 5-10 bucks. Mine was about it 11 dollars and no problems, bit I know others who spent less had problems with theirs.
