There seems to be a problem with some applications on my HD7, specifically the Zune and Xbox Live. Sometimes when I try to start them there is a short delay and then I'm dumped back to the Start menu. It happens several times a day and the only cure is to restart the phone.
Today things moved on a bit, as my bought apps fail to start and tell me I have an invalid license before uninstalling.
Can't say that I'm overly impressed with the software reliability thus far... shame really as I'm blown away by pretty much everything else about the HD7...

I have the same .
1 random phone crash
2 apps kicking back to start nenu
3 the screen that is flickering (looks like the phone is beyond repair)
I hope we don't have to wait till and of January for some bug fixes , because this phone is actually not usable for every day for me .
Things went from bad to worse yesterday after I'd posted - I lost access to my purchased apps, couldn't download or re-download anything and my Windows Live ID was no longer recognised. Eventually a hard reset cleared all the problems and also seems to have put a stop to the problems I was having with applications failing to start... Fingers crossed its a permanent fix.
Was quite impressed with the responsiveness of the @WinPhoneSupport twitter account... got to give Microsoft credit for that...
I've just had a similar experience. Phone seemed to completely hang, none of the buttons worked, so took the battery out, replaced it and booted up. All was good, but now every single 3rd party app claims to have no license.
I really don't want to have to reset the phone - it's taken me weeks to get to this point. Has anything changed in the last couple of weeks, making it fixable without losing all my data?

let me know how the Hard Reset goes for you. Many apps keep putting me back to the home screen. The Harvest being the worst of the bunch. This is extremely frustrating as I have had nothing but high hopes for WP7, I've been thinking about cancelling my contract with Sprint for my EVO. If this continues it'll be back to my Nexsus One.
I'm really feeling let down by Microsoft.

I've had the problem with the harvest but had read about it on here and was hoping for an update. Other than that, my phone has been really smooth.
Hiya. I have a Kyocera Zio with Cricket. Last week at some point, I got a text message saying that an update was available. So I went through the settings and checked for an update and it asked me if I wanted to begin download (I was on WiFi). I did so, less than a minute later, it asked me if I wanted to reboot. I did so, remembering that there are supposed to be three parts to the update. It told me there was an update, I accepted, it asked again to reboot, so I did. The third time, it told me there was an update, I accepted and waited.
It was taking a while, so I left it plugged in to do as it would. I came back later to find it continuously rebooting. It would show the Kyocera screen, the Cricket screen, and finally the Android screen, but then it would reboot. I left it again just in case. Close to an hour later, it was doing the same, so I took out the battery, put it back in and tried again. The same series of continuous rebooting happened. I tried on and off for a few days and only once got something different - at some point, having done nothing differently, it got to the 1.6 lock screen, but was frozen there.
Yesterday, I took it to a corporate store and asked them to reset it. They did so. It got to the screen where it tells you to touch the android (sounds dirty, really) and the animated hand - which was animated - but it didn't react to my touch. I also couldn't turn it off. Figuring I'd be waiting another hour if I put my name in the machine to get in line again, I took the battery out and left, hoping I could figure it out when I got home.
Now, the "end call" button does indeed work, because it will turn the phone on. The "volume up", "start call", trackball, and "end call" work because the reset combination works (though it gets stuck with text on the Kyocera screen). However, when the phone is turned on normally, it gets to the "touch the android" screen with the animated hand, but doesn't accept any input, whether button or touch screen.
Is this phone bricked?
Take it back to the cricket store that reset it. Its now their liability. If your phone is borked, they may be liable to give you a new one.

I would have to concur. Anything we can help you do would put the liability back into your hands. We can offer advice on how to fix your problem but it should be used as a "last resort" if the store simply cannot help you.
Feel free to come back, should you need to.
My orginal zio did the same thing on march 4th.
Did everything to a t and all it kept doing was a constant rebooting loop my 1.6 desktop came up but my screen would not respond to my touches just kept rebooting after 2 or 3 minutes.
Took it to the corp store and the women who works there told me on march 6th that the update is not sopossed to be released to the public yet and that i shouldnt have installed it and accused me of using a pirated version of the 2.2 and that is why my phone is bricked.
I told her no i didn't that i had a check mark on the task bar (i call it a task bar cause it looks like windows a bit) and when i pulled it down it said a kyocera update is avalible and i had to use my wifi to get it.
She was like well we don't have the stuff here to reflash it yet and she was still insisting that i was using a pirated version so she went in the back and asked someone else and then came back out and had a new boxed zio in her hand she was like the update was released and i did not know that i asked her how long you worked here and she was like over 2 yrs (she must not pay attention at the meetings) so she gave me a new phone but charged me 20 dollars to replace the phone cause she was like it was over 30 days or 30 minutes i was madder then a bull with his balls tied up she didn't even give me an apology.
Went to mcdonalds down the road cause they got free wifi and did the update again and it went thru 100% this time.
Now i can't root my phone to get my boot screen back on androot and root explorer don't want to play nice together.
My vivid is resetting itself every night (bright white screen wakes me up). It is fine during the day but at least one a night (while charging) it resets. I sent logs to HTC and opened ticket but they don't have anything. I looked through the logs and found that battery temperature alarms with the battery reaching 235 and then slowly coming down to 226, then fatal reset with call alarm type 0 func alarm_triggered+0x0/0xa8, 132160779490000000000 then charm_efffatal: charm got errfatal interrupt
Anybody else see this? Should I exchange the phone?
I would, I very rarely get a reset, maybe once a week?

where do you view logs? Mine has reset ~3times yesterday, and about once a day otherwise. NOT STOKED.

I looked at the Tell HTC alert which gives you the options to send the log to them and to preview it before you send. You can also get alogcat from market to see (its a very long text file).

I just saw this thread about 20 minutes ago, and thought this hasn't happened to me, but then my phone had an abnormal reset about 5 minutes ago. I was checking out best buys add , so using the flash pretty heavily, I noticed my phone actually got hotter than it ever had before, but I have had other HTC phones get hotter, so idk...
It did the send report, but I didn't realize that we could see it before we send it, anyway we can see it after we send it?
Oh yeah, for some reason, before it did this the browser kept randomly turning off, taking me to the home screen...did it while I was just reading the threads on xda... Then poof...
First real issue I have had with the phone
happened to me today while i was driving. The first time it happened. I wouldn't have known if it didn't notify me about the reset.
Last night it got up to 259 and slowly came down to 226, then fatal error and reset. I don't know how to read the report to htc after you close the Tell HTC app.
Reset Happened to Me
I had been using Backcountry Navigator and the Camera app while hiking. I had been running both about an hour and a half, switching between the mapping app and the camera. Poof! Shut down. I can't speak to the temperature issue, but I have a case on the Vivid that might keep heat in and prevent me from feeling it. It came back up and asked if I wanted to send the error log to HTC. I did. it will be interesting to see if this gets fixed in an update.
this may be off subject...but browser seams to crash often...is this common on android phones...one moment I'm surfing then poof, browser disappears without warning and I'm back on the home screen.
When my phone crashed, it was after a couple of these browser poofs...I noticed it stops for some time if I delete the cookies, catch, etc...
Had the same issue a few times myself.

I got a new battery from HTC last week and that seems to have fixed the problem. No resets since.
Has anyone noticed that the Focus S' browser gets really slow loading pages and freezes?
Sent from my Focus S using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I noticed my Focus doing this, this weekend. I blamed it on ATT till it was still doing it this morning. I cleared my history and rebooted my phone but still doing it. I shutdown my phone and pulled the battery this morning. Once it came back up everything was good to go. An antenna must of been hung or something and didn't actually reset till it lost power.
I finally called Samsung and he said to delete the cookies and brower history. He said that a currupt cookie could cause this the browser to freeze.
I tried it and we'll see if that works.
hey guys
next time, lets post this topic in the right forum. thanks

Have you tried connecting it to Kies? Maybe you can get it to reflash or reset that way?

Yes!! I am having the exact same issue. I was told my an att rep to contact Silver light Inc out of California because they make it. I have not done it yet. I plan on going to an att store where I purchased it from. If you would like the silver light phone number they gave me, let me know.
Good news is our watches come standard with a 1 year warranty.
On mine, I noticed I can do a few things still. Right after it reboots if I hold down the home key for 1 second and let it go, I can get into the restart menu and it will connect to my phone, and I can then double press the home key to get to s-voice. As soon as I swipe down to get to the main screen, it shuts off.
Since this is a few days old...did you figure anything out yet?
As to the other user, the watch will not connect to the PC right now because it's stuck in a reboot loop.

AT&T gave me the wrong information. They gave me the information for the company that makes the Martian watch apparently. Damn AT&T.
having the same problem. Won't stop rebooting.
I'm having the same issue. I was woke up in the middle of the night to see my watch rebooting over and over and over. I let the battery completely drain, plugged it in to charge and it just starts the same reboot loop over and over and over, again. I was hoping to find some solution but doesn't seem like many people are having this problem and I don't know how to reset the watch, any ideas?

Let me tell you. ..samsung and att both are being a real pain in the ass about this. So here's what happened so far. I called samsung, they said call att. I called att, they said call samsung. I canned samsung and they said call att. I told them no. I said att told me to call them. Then samsung said take it to best buy and they can fix it. Best buy said they needed a reciept. I left best buy and went to att because this one doesn't have an att store inside. Att gave me the reciept, went back to best buy. The same guy at best buy (the samsung area) plugged it into his computer and 20 seconds later said he can't do anything I have to call samsung. So that's where I am at now. I am so pissed off. Best buy is not close to me. It's about 40 miles away. This is realllllly starting to piss me off.
If I was you I would call samsung for warranty information. If they tell you to call anyone else or go anywhere else tell them no and you want to send it to them for repair. I have a feeling it has to do with the newest software. I can't even figure out how to connect it to Kies or downgrade the software or anything.

first of all if this was clearly already mentioned, I apologize.
I ran into this trouble last night and just wanted to share how Samsung Rep helped me with this soft brick.
this is for someone like me who needed to hard reset the gear 2 neo.
my phone: Tmobile Galaxy Note 3
Problem: Gear 2 Neo would not boot beyond Samsung Logo.
Rootcause(s): 1) was notified to update latest Gear Manager software and update was done. 2) it causes reset on my gear in my case. and it reboot the gear, but it shut off the screen after the logo.
here is what Samsung Agent told me on the live chat.
Please follow below steps to perform hard reset on your watch.
Agent: 1) Power the device off
Agent: 2) Press and hold the Home/power key until you see the Galaxy Gear rebooting… screen
Agent: 3) Release the Home/power key and then continuously tap the Home/power key until you see the Reboot Select Mode screen.
Agent: 4) Tap the Home/power key to highlight the Recovery option.
Agent: 5) Press and hold the Home/power key until the device resets. The device should now recover and restart
again. I couldn't find it in xda last night and I thought I share. if you want to update new Gear Manager, it's up to you. but it didn't help me with my Note 3 and Neo combo. but after this process, all is well. FYI : as all hard reset you will lose everything on the device and will be factory reset.
thanks,

Thank you for that. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. Mine boots to a screen that says, "Rebooting". It only appears for 3 seconds, then restarts, and shows the screen "Rebooting".
Here is a video of what is happening, youtu.be/Ny8jghLZrYU
Same problem.
I'm having the same issue with my watch. It is essentially brand new. I've worn at maybe six or eight times since I got it. I feel like I've been horribly abused by Samsung over this , and I can't find anyone to help. Best Buy said they can't help me, and I had the same run around with Verizon and Samsung the other user was having with AT&T and Samsung. I know the watch might not be new tech now, but to me a six-year-old watch is not that old, especially when it has essentially not been used. The battery is good in it, the watch looks perfect and has no scratches, but it's stuck on the loading screen. If anyone has yet found a solution to this, please help.
