Good morning to you too.
Not at this time. I was told to give it about 20 more days when the Note comes out on Tmo so they can compare the 2. Then they will go from there!!

The Tmo Note has the same guts as the ATT version. I really don't think the N7000 will ever have Tmo high speed data. That is of course unless you live in an area where tmo has refarmed their 1900mhz to also use 3g data. It really is too bad because I want to use the 3g data on my Int Note too.
And aaronuser, I am sorry but that is why we have rules for the forums. Otherwise it is just clutter.
since they use different network so you only got 2g ( like my gt7000 ).But my friend just got a AT&T unlock for Tmobile at dealer in CA which able to use 3/4g with little trick...Hope this help :victory:

Hi bud,
don't get your hopes up high.. T-mobile sucks...Their 4G slate isn't even close to a real 4G connection.
I read the AnandTech review and questioned the possibility.
Band 4 (AWS) could essentially be supported with the power amplifiers and transceiver that already are onboard the Nexus 4, but again it ultimately comes down to a particular OEM choice whether these get supported.

Upon some Googling, all I could find was AnandTech's review and this post, but the poor fellow was ignored. I'm assuming he posted in the wrong place at the wrong time? Let's start a discussion on this. If the information from AnandTech is true and seeing that T-Mobile is the official partner in the US, I'm guessing an update allowing LTE access will be released in the future. At the very least hacked access thanks to our wonderful developers?
iFixit has a teardown on the phone also confirming the LTE chip. I can't post links yet, but Googling "iFixit Nexus 4" will get you to it. The LTE chip is listed on page 3.

In case you didn't know, Sprint store employees are NOT allowed to tell customers about upcoming events or promotions.
Trust me, they do know about such things.
I know this because a sprint store employee told me that they do know about upcoming promotional events.

I'm not gonna ruin the Nexus 5, by putting it on Sprints network. Hello T-Mobile!
I work at Sprint and I play with all the new devices when they launch. First impression of the Nexus was it felt cheap. And the fact that it's made by LG this time just backs up the why the quality somewhat trash. The obnoxious circle phone speaker in the front was hideous. I thought it was a front facing speaker like HTC's One but it was an in call speaker. It looked like a knock off of all the phones that are out.
I did enjoy playing with the camera. A lot of new stuff that I want sure how to use yet but first impression was that the camera would be 1 of the key selling points for the phone. I had mixed feelings about the gigantic app icons but like I said it was my first impression so they could grow on me.
The feel of the phone in terms of performance wasn't bad. My GS4 is smoother with scrolling but I am stock rooted with stock kernel and debloated so Im pretty sure once this phone is too then it will be smooth as well. I did like how apps would open very quickly. Not much faster than my GS4 but was noticeable.
Honestly the phones performance isn't something to debate about because it is very resposnsive. And the Google Now feature is dope as well, but the feel and look of the phone just felt cheap like it was made from recycled parts or something. Just my 2 cents. The phone is a decent LG quality phone. If you like LG then go for it.

TMobile has 3G HSPA + which isn't actually any form of 4G but they advertise it as that. Your LTE capable phone isn't even on a real 4G or 4G LTE network.

So I had been toying with the idea of going from S4 -> N5, and went to the sprint store to play with N5. It does feel snappy. Just like when I install a fresh new rom on S4. Though Google Now fc on me on the N5.
Next I loaded up the same web page on both devices and noted that the page pan was not that significantly different.
Not convinced quite yet, but I may change my mind later. Still waiting for the ipad air to arrive which would keep me entertained for a while.

Because it is still being launched?
I feel like a lot of Sprint people expect Sprint to have LTE up in their back yard instantly. People always compare their LTE to Sprint. Verizon had a two year start on LTE deployment than Sprint since they chose to go with Wimax.

T-Mobile absolutely has LTE. And theirs is at least 20 times faster than Sprint's LTE here. I'm on Sprint LTE at home, and I just got 124 kbps down and 300 up. That's actually pretty good for their LTE! And it's been launched here for a few months. I guess that's what you get when you launch LTE handsets before you even have an LTE network to use them on anywhere in the nation. Once it's turned on, there are thousands of handsets sucking down the bandwidth as soon as it's turned on. Would probably help if they weren't running each tower off of one single Comcast cable modem...
Obviously that last part isn't true. but they shouldn't be selling or having LTE service here, if 124 kbps is there idea of LTE.

Just an issue with that area. I consistently get 500kbps at my work, come home and get over 30mbps. The network is building, give it time.

Than LTE hasn't been officially riled out yet in your area.it well get better. I typically get between 15-30mbs down and 10-15mbs up on Sprint LTE and my area is only 75 percent rolled out. When I first started getting LTE in my area I would only get 1-2mbs down. Hang in there and it will get better. Also, all carriers sell their LTE phones before the network is built out.

Also, I know they announced it a while back, but has anyone actually seen one in the wild? There was no release and they are not listed anywhere to buy. The website still has the mono-band S4. If you have a link to one for sale from Sprint, please post it.
i work for sprint, so i feel like eventually the warehouse will run out of mono-band and start using the tri-band s4 as replacements. ive known the S4's were switched to the tri-band since it was announced, i just wanted to let everyone know (who didnt already) that us existing S4's are getting screwed over!

More than likely yes. Here's hoping Sprint actually FINISHES the LTE rollout for all bands instead of doing the half-assed job they did with WiMAX.

Just so you know, when they added the Triband to the S4, it broke simultaneous data and voice on LTE. So if you someone that needs that, don't get to excited about this new variant. Also, no wifi and simultaneous voice has been reported.

I think I have one, but I'm not sure.
When Sprint came out with 4.4.2.Kit Kat two days ago, everybody was posting that you needed MK2 software to get the download.
When I checked, my software is L720TVPUAMK5. My model shows as SPHL 720T, and on the box it's SPHL 720TWT.
When I asked about it, someone said I had a new Sparks.
I'm pretty much in the dark on all this.
Will I still get the Kit Kat download?
Does Austin, TX broadcast the new LTE?
Do I have something better? Or just a gimmick?
Is there anything important to know?

Accidental thanks. Anyways you will not get KitKat right now as this update is for the regular L720. There isndifferemt software for the T model. For example when we first noticed a MK5 software we regular phone people thought we would be able to use it but turns out we can't.
You will eventually get KitKat.
As far as Dallas having spark network, I don't know. I just know LA, San Fran, NYC, Chicago , and Miami were the first to start deployment.

Until the network is really ready - and it will vary by market - be careful what you wish for with Spark. Its been alluded to already, but in many cases this can be a step backward.

Knowing that AT&T locks their bootloaders (bastards), I'd like to get a version with an unlocked bootloader that I can mod, swap ROMs, etc.
I've found lots of 32gb versions, but I can't find many 64gb versions out there except those that are ~$1200 and I just can't spend that.
Wondering how others are solving this and getting their hands on one that's AT&T LTE friendly...
Thanks!
edit: also, if you knew a model #, that would be helpful as I'm a bit confused on all the variations.

T-Mobile (N920T) is probably the best, simplest choice. you can sign up for new service, purchase at full price, root it, get it sim unlocked using a root method (search xda) or hassle with T-Mobile and then cancel once you have it SIM unlocked. N920I also works but it's an international model. i'm using the N920T and the dual-sim N9208 on att and both work flawlessly. search-xda is your friend, you'll find all the answers you're looking for. good luck

I bought an N920T for use on at&t. here is a lengthy discussion about the potential drawbacks to the missing bands when using a tmo on att. TL/DR; on that one is that you might not get service in the boonies using a tmo on att; i haven't ever had a problem with my tmo note 4 in over a year on att.
here is a guy that can provide free SIM unlock (he's fixing to do mine in about 2 hours. many have reported success with him.) in fact i bought a tmo phone under the premise he'd be able to help me, as TMO will make a big fuss about helping you.

thanks for quoting me; i had lost this thread, and there are updates:
there was nothing wrong with the process @stifilz used to unlock the phone. the problem was that my IMEI wasn't recognized by AT&T, so they wouldn't send me LTE service. but i got that straight.
it appears i use primarily bands 4 and 5 here.
ooo so band 17.. you are speaking about an AT&T phone huh?? that's not as good, as there is some debate as to whether or not a TMOBILE phone will receive at&t's band 17 correctly. i think i already linked that thread previously, so you might re-read that to see if it'll provide an issue for you.
cheapest, tho not the easiest, way for you to figure out if you'll have problems is to find a person using an unlocked TMO phone and put your sim card in it, and then see if it gets LTE (particularly band 17)

Good to hear. AT&T made that same mistake with my OPO. Always a chuckle when you know more than the service reps.
Yeah, I've been checking LTE discovery anytime I go anywhere different in DC and it's always band 17 which the TMO version doesn't have. There is band 4 here, but it's considerably less frequent and a much weaker signal. So, that likely means that I'll get spotty LTE service most of the time and have extra battery suck as it works to switch between LTE and 3G. Not sure it's worth it since I'm pretty constantly on the move...

So, that likely means that I'll get spotty LTE service most of the time and have extra battery suck as it works to switch between LTE and 3G. Not sure it's worth it since I'm pretty constantly on the move...

Well there's a guy in a thread iposted about earlier in the Q&A section that spoke up to say his tmobile note 5 does connect to 17 all the time, I'm waiting on his response as to whether that's AT&T band 17 or t-mobile band 17. ( I don't know if there is a difference or if it makes a difference)
Might still be a go

I think that's gotta be a mistake. According to TMO's site, it doesn't have LTE 17 and they're standard frequencies.
But, the question for me will be how strong LTE4 is. It might be enough. I'm trying to figure out how to disable 17 on my OPO for testing...
band 17, at&t!

I can confirm that I have a tmobile branded unit that attaches to band 17. It isn't as frequently as on my note 4, I'm generally on band 2. With that said I've had virtually no trouble with service. I was initially worried about the b17 issue, but it hasn't seemed to make any difference.

Does it attach to band 17 on AT&T or t-mobile?

Interesting, but I'm not sure I'm buying it - take a look at TMO's spec sheet - http://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phones/samsung-galaxy-note5.html
Doesn't list Band 17.
I think I'll need some corroboration on that...

I posted at him as well, but didn't think about a screenshot. Good idea.
