Do you really run that much flash stuff? I have flash installed to the latest version, and I don't think I've ever actually used it.
Most mobile web sites don't require flash. The websites that do use flash use it for advertising; not having flash is a blessing in that regard.
What do you do on your phone that actually requires flash?

I think that you think I think that it's not.

So no!! HTC phones are the worst phones ever! damn you have to unlock bootloader, get the security-off and then start flashing stuf... with OB you just flash and I think it's very easy..

Mention Samsung flash counter and locked bootloader too.
In comparison LG is walk in the park

Seriously u dnt need to worry. Anything goes wrong,u still can go back to stock using nvflash or smartflash. =)
This might be a dumb question but does the a2dp finally work (and is included in the stable release)? I'm asking cause in the nightly thread it says no, but many other places it stated that they finally cracked it

Sorry but im no developer, just regular user. But maybe bcoz most of basic function of the fone is now functioning as it should with very minimum issues thats dont really affect the functionality of this fone for most user. Just my opinion though. But honestly, for regular cm7 users, this is only another nightlies. CM will still continue improving. =)
Dont try this!!!
Or youll not go to bed for all the night, its just GREAT!!!
Sorry to hear that - try wiping and reflashing. I've just come from Topogig 1.4 20e ROM, and this is a big improvement on an already good ROM.

Hi it's called stable because it's considered stable, & suitable for consumption by regular users. The FM radio is a feature, not part of the core functionality of the phone. But more importantly the lack of FM radio is down to the fact that, to use the FM radio you need the source code from NVIDIA for the Tegra chip. So far NVIDIA haven't released the code.
I'm sorry, but NVIDIA are a bunch of slack b*****s. Which means no FM radio, sorry but there is nothing the Cyanogenmod dev team can do.

There are already some posts about the unlocking of the bootloader, so you can read them carefully and see how is the state of the art.

Yes looks tasty but no radio yet! We atleast need calls and data. But thats great work so far.
See no real reason not to have a fully working custom rom, as unlocked boot loader is not a must!

List of ROMs you installed while "trying out different ROMs". Nine to ten odds you accidentally grabbed something out of the international forums.
Either way, you will likely need to RUU to stock.
More information please. Are you rooted? Do you have a custom recovery? Which is it? Have you tried to access your recovery? If you can get into recovery, you can flash a new ROM, if you have one in memory. If not, you can sideload one. And as the guy above posted, what ROMs have you tried to flash so far? You cannot flash any ROM that does not specifically say m7spr in the title. Ours is a different device, regardless of how they are the same hardware.

Which to me is essentially the same as saying "a case is not necessary to your phone until you smash your phone." Bad flashes do happen, I'll admit that, but they're rarer than they used to be. Flashing the wrong ROM has basically always been a cause for problems, and people need to take more care not to do it to begin with.

Wow, talk about hyperbolic exaggeration. I'm well aware that people are being idiots and flashing GSM ROMs, but if you don't know what you're doing you're just as likely to screw up getting S-OFF or fail to do an RUU. The point is that no amount of precautionary measures are going to save someone from carelessness.

[Q] How long wait for root ?

I'm getting my z3c on the 1., and I'm very excited.
I have a question though;
How long do you think it'll take before we get root on this phone, to open up for some more advanced functions ? I know no-one can say for sure, but you guys migth take a shot based on your experiences.
This will be my first new phone in years, so I'm not in the loop about how long this usually takes, after a phone comes out.

If we had a recovery, that tool wouldn't even be necessary xP
I'm guessing Doomlord will, in time, come up with something. Doesn't he always...?
Though I do believe we need to find a security hole to even get a recovery working (correct me if I'm wrong here).
EDIT: I've also tried every one-touch root apps and various Windows programs. None of them work ;-;
Damn you, Google, for hiring exploit patchers with such skills!

Having bought all my devices over 6 months after they were released was probably much better for me than I ever realized xD
I'm tinkering with the idea of modding a stock FTF with root and whatnot and flashing it with flashtool. Anyone tried that yet? Or is everyone too busy looking for that one exploit they're unlikely to find?
EDIT: Back to the drawing board. Seems like things have changed a lot since I last took a look at an FTF.

Well considering most people don't want to unlock their bootloaders and miss out on the amazing camera, we can only flash FTFs (Sony-signed software).
(No system/boot write access, so finding an exploit is crucial.)

For me I was curious to see if this is like the treble ROMs that are out. There are AOSP TREBLE ROMs out that function quite well. One of the advantages is that we have a choice not use Google apps/services with the TREBLE ROMs. Just like the old days. Most of the custom roms out now are loaded with gapps.
There's even AOSP based ROMs with gapps in this section that have a lot more customations.
It's really about choice.
